While the INC has been suffering from an acute paucity of Prime Ministerial candidates, resulting in accidental PMs for the country, the BJP suffers no such problem! There are a number of Ministers who will easily slip into Modi's shoes and provide continuity with change.

The best thing about this video is that Mr. Nithin didn't even look at the papers or take advice from anybody else before giving his answers. He knows about each project to the smallest detail, which is only possible if you are truly passionate about your work.

Manmohan Singh, when he was PM, surrounded himself with scholars from Ivy Leagues but all left was a damp squib ! However go back to what he accomplished as Finance Minister under Narasimha Rao !! Of course in his case he is a good economist himself, but the leadership was provided by PVN.
So its worth trying Nitin Gadkari incharge some ministries which underperform traditionally. Even if he fails, it wont be unusual since we have a tradition putting failures in charge of our ministries. Here is a guy who is passionate about achieving succefull, to leave his name in history, and make a positive impact ...

Infrastructure within cities need to be looked at. Probably this does not come under Mr. Gadkari. But, modern, well developed cities are a need of India. I live in Bangalore and I really wish the city road infrastructure becomes better
Mr Gadkari should now give details of benefits that each highway has given to the following eg Delhi Jaipur. Employment generated per km road, # of restaurents newly constructed permanent, semipermanent, other shops , vendors approx new employment etc. This kind of details will help the Union government to quantify the employment generated , both direct and indirect on highway construction activities. Similarly , the Railway ministry can quantify the employment numbers genertaed that Railway infrastructure has contributed.

The distance between Chandigarh and Delhi is around 300kms. There are around 8 flights/day between both cities and are always running full.The highway connecting both cities has been under construction for the last 15 years.
It's 248 kms. And the highway is quite good.
Last time kab aaye ho highway se. 2-3 ghante kaa jaam lagta hai roz 3-4 saal se construction hee chal rha

Sir, Even though the highways in TN are the best we have enjoyed, during our recent travel to Rameshwaram, noticed that the local roads leading to the Main Temple area is so dilapidated and not motor able. Shame on the local Govt to keep the Atemple area in such a pathetic condition. Sir I think the Central Govt should take over these Temples and make it easily accessible to Hindus visiting from India and from International locations.

Old highway network is in a deplorable condition. Some portion is in a very bad condition which had pose a dangerous. Repair work done was not up to the standard. I hope the minister should take priority the maintanance of the existing highway and upgrade them to the US standard as you said.
Agreed. Some of the highways are in extremely poor condition. Mumbai-Goa highway is one big example.

Believe him..Due to low passengers response Bangalore - Mysore flight has been stopped a week ago...
Reasons -
* It used to take 3 hours to reach Bangalore by road , now because of new expressway the travel time reduced to 1.5 hours..
* New Vande Bharat express from Mysore - Chennai via Bangalore...
People don't want to go to Mysore airport then catch a flight , then reach to actual Bangalore from Bangalore airport which is approx 50 kms away....
Yes this just might be true for eg. From BLR to IDR for a family of 3 is literally 46000/- so I would rather drive on these beautiful roads we have in India...just wish that petrol was way way cheaper

Poor road safety is primarily due to bad roads, no lane discipline, no tail lamps in lorries and busses. All these fall under traffic police domain in each state. strict punishments for safety violations like in many developed countries must be implemented.

🎉yes ; while it’s highly appreciable that new roads are being developed ; other equally important issues are : 1. Old roads need to be maintained 2. Proper rest rooms along all major roads and 3. Emergency services for car breakdown / trauma care services along the way 4. Security and safety 5. Provision for drinking water, proper lighting / proper waste management / development of green belts along roads/ ; all these and much more can be done by utilising toll money collected efficiently. The scrapping of vehicles purely on the basis of vehicle age is not correct. A pollution certificate should have some value. A scrapped car is not completely recycled. We should increase the difficulty of the pollution test and have the flexibility of increasing registration age after some exhaustive computer aided tests.

Nitin ji Please have a look on road development at Silchar the Southern part of Assam where no proper road, what we have is broken small road where only 1 vehicle somehow can pass.1 small airport. Whole day route is jampacked. No proper infrastructure. People die everyday due to Broken road, no proper communication.We feel like disconnected from other parts of India.
