The SD trucks have the same cabin size as the full size trucks
Which is kinda crazy for the half-tons when you think about it. Has a lot to do with why their payloads aren't where they should be half the time.

Fuel mileage is what..8-9mpg with 37's..diesel is 15-16 and 22-24 on the highway with 37's.
My 7.3 has 37 mud tires full winch guard and loaded with 2000 lbs in the bed constantly averages 12.8. Not great but not horrible for a truck this big and heavy. My old diesel averaged about 15 if it wasn't in the shop broke down lol

That gas bill will eat a BIG hole in your wallet with single digit mpgs. Tow something and you'd be like 5-7 mpg and that diesel will constantly eat your lunch. Not to mention reliability and durability.
