- The Total Defence display at #NDP2024 showcased the debut of the Singapore Army’s new light machine gun - the Colt Infantry Automatic Rifle (IAR) 6940E-SG - which is replacing the SAW Ultimax 100. The SCDF’s Electric Pump Ladder (E-PL), PUB's water wagons and the Singapore Red Cross Transporter vehicle also make their first appearances at a National Day Parade. The Colt IAR, for those who may not know, was actually trialed for the USMC, but lost to the HK416, earning the M27 IAR designation.
Why can't they be a little more realistic and use the SBS or SMRT bus with passengers included?
due to safety reasons, the actors and actresses couldn't be om the bus when they exploded the glass. the bus driver had to even wear earplugs

The Colt Infantry Automatic Rifle is another AR-15 variant, it is almost identical to the regular M4 Carbine(Direct Impingement gas system) currently in use by Malaysian Armed Forces and very similar to the Type 91 Assault Rifle(Short Stroke Gas Piston system) currently in use by Republic of China Armed Forces.
Also, this is not the first time Singapore used AR-15 type weapons, the M16A1 and it's clones have been in Singaporean service since 1970s until being replaced by Ultimax 100 and SAR-21.

I think they and the rest of the demonstrators overall have to take the lead directions of the NDP organisers for safety due to the wet and slippery flooring. Also think for some reason that's again probably due to the NDP organisers, the mobile ramp truck had to be parked on the road some distance away from the bus. Unfortunately, it does compromise the realism of the demonstrations especially compared to last year's one.

If the tanks really going to shoot.. it will create disaster for the crowds.. becoz it create lots of smoke from shooting rockets like the HIMARS.

@@joshuatran2932 the 2022 one is good because it actually shoots calibers while that tank of 2024 just made a fire cracker sound and some smoke popped out , even the heavy armored missile truck , the part where they defuse the bomb is meh but if they do a pov is better than showing a far , I’m more concerned when they only release a f16 for an air show ,but not the f15 why ?, why don’t they release the f15 streak eagle(the one with no guns nor bombs) since it can do a manuver , and the f16 although it have high speed and all , it doesn’t have manuver
@@jingjing8658RSAF doesn't have streak eagle, only have strike eagle. Streak eagle is a F-15A striped of all avionics and paint to reach top speed. Furthermore, there is only 1 streak eagle in existence, AF Ser. No.72-0119.
