I served with the RAN for a number of years and found the Republic of Singapore navy to being highly competent and they literally owned the Strait. No one went through there that they din't know about and they were extremely professional. I was always impressed with them.
    Great video too.

The luxury of WiFi onboard and a spacious dining area with delicious food really highlights the advancements made by our Singapore Navy in recent years.
Back in the day, deploying meant complete disconnection from family and social life, which could be quite depressing.
However, everyone understood the importance of their sacrifice for national security. This video brings back so many memories, thank you for making it!

I’ve operated with RSN vessels a lot back in my days in the RAN. Very professional and capable! I also LOVED my many visits to Singapore! The Singapore Strait and Strait of Malacca were a nightmare for us Radar Plots in the ops room though! So much traffic, and we had to track it all manually…😂

3:59 with more women (shorter stature) embedded in the military, why not improve the naval ship gun and solve the line of sight problem, where if the gunner push the handle up and lower the gun nozzle down, the platform that the gunner stands on (weight sensor to determine height - Thesis: adult human height usually don’t change much or at all, the ship AI computer systems know the identities of the staff and management, thus based the height data can feed into ship systems?), will auto lift the gunner up so the gunner can shoot at targets right next to the ship, but not shoot at the ship (hard code) lock range.

Billion dollar global insight - don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Monetise as military armoury diploma thesis, sci fi movie or real life. Ships or military bases often gets attacked between 1 to 3 points of attack entry. If you put all your eggs or ammunition in one location, it’s easy for internal saboteurs or lucky external strike to destroy your ammunition storage location rendering significant deaths and injuries. Management doesn’t like to be scapegoated for this. 1. Store the ammunition in different locations, e.g. North, South, East, West sides of the ship or base. 2. Work with engineers and safety consultants to identify how much movement waste between ammunition and reload weapon chamber can be safely reduced to save time and ensure battle victory. 1 milliseconds of extended war could mean tens to thousands of men being alive or dead.

Billion dollar global insight - the field of vision is limited as the naval vessel is close to the sea line resulting in delayed detection of enemy vessels or looking for survivors in the waters. If you look at sailing ships or pirate ships with tall mast and cloth sails, the ships can extend vertical poles upwards without toppling over. Why not use submarine retractable extendable periscope tech, with NASA grade 360 pinhole daylight night vision pinhole camera to be mounted on the tip of the vertical retractable pole. So when the ship is not moving and in sentry mode, the pole can be extended upwards to provide a much wider vantage circumference which allow the captain to make better quality informed operational decisions early. There are sensors at the pole and on the ship to detect if the pole is affecting the gyro stability of the ships where the captain can give instruction to engineer for three factor authentication to remotely dislodge the pole to fall out of ship (when stuck on retracting)?
