Just returned from a vacation in Greece. It was an honor to walk these sacred lands. Surreal knowing King Leonidas and the Spartans once stood where I stood.

Me and my family went to Thermopylae few days ago. It has been my Dad’s dream to go there since he’s been 10 (52 years ago) and he first heard about Leonidas. It was a trip and a moment that I will cherish forever.

i was in high school when this film came out and i remember all the boys at the school shouting : ' SPARTANS ! WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION ' and no matter who said it all the boys around replied with : "AWWOUU ". definitely snyders' best film by far.
Grown men were doing it too. Same thing happened at my "job." And since I was in command, they gave me the nickname Leonidas. They said it was because I wouldn't ask anyone to do anything that I wasn't willing or able to do myself. And it's where I got my saying, "There's a difference between a "boss" and a Leader."

Its sad to say, we will not live long enough to cycle back to strong men like the spartans of ancient greece
…and here we are in 2022 pissing it all away. I can’t help thinking every day of the universal sacrifice of the Spartans for a free world and the bloody foot prints of the American freedom fighters of the revolutionary war that marched through the snow in bare feet to defeat the British in the revolutionary war for a free America. It saddens me for how far we have fallen. I believe most countries have similar stories of moments when a few stood up to the many to give a better life for all. I think about them as well!
Not all is for naught. Their spirit, the spirit of freedom lives through us all. No retreat. No surrender. Their rallying cries live on. All it takes is one voice to garner thousands.
Life is test and only way to pass is to make each other positive and give each other keep going

A movie on unwavering bravery.
The strength multiplier of the phalanx was formed by making a solid row of shields and spears. Very hard to penetrate and very hard to stop once it starts moving.
What you see in the movie, the running forward as individuals would be the death sentence to the entire phalanx as there now is a weak spot and unlike in the movie, the singled out Spartans in the front, would have been cut down despite their superior armor and training.
One of the all time best films!! These dudes inspired!! Spartans!!!!

@@crusade5886 Watching your edit, I couldn't help but find parallels in the story of the Spartans fighting a tyrant and the story of the Ukrainians fighting Russia. I don't know if that parallel was intentional. 300 is one of my favorite films and the courage of that story feels forever universal.
