Ehh never had a problem canceling with Expedia as long as you get the free cancelation option. Also the rewards add up compared to being loyal to one hotel chain. We payed for a whole five night stay in Maui with just Expedia reward points

With regard to Hotel Tonight, why can't hotels just discount their own rooms at the last minute?
5 free nights a year from credit cards!? We need this in Canada! Great to learn from someone who actually has experience redeeming points and miles.

Absolutly Not true about booking through a 3rd party ........I have been using Orbitz for years and I can gurantee, every single time the price directly at the hotels are always way more...The only positive about booking directly with the hotel are these hotel points...which in the end is nothing compare to what you save using a 3rd party
