So it's possible in the future we might see shunsui use a different play for his bankai next time. One that maybe wouldn't harm his allies. If so he probably could rank in the top 5 or higher

I was surprised Kyoraku's bankai wasn't in the top 5 but what you said makes sense. His bankai has the worst drawback and restriction to it along with kenpachi's. And in the Gerard fight he stated he can freeze Gerard to the bone). but Toshiro as a character prefers to use sealing techniques and would rather not kill. Even when using said sealing techs, he apologizes to his opponents Luppi, Halibel and Cang Du were all gonna be frozen and die eventually even without Toshiro shattering them, but all 3 of them were freed by outside sources. Halibel wasn’t able to melt it with her ability and Cang Du wasn’t able to activate Vollstandig on his own, so in theory, the Immature Bankai might already have a low level of power null that the Mature Bankai just expands on

No, FKT total from start to finish was a few hours at best, and the Captains vs Espada segment was a few minutes. Toshiro used his Bankai for about 6 minutes (half his petals disappeared), and when he thought his strength was nerfed enough to not hit his allies, he one tap/sealed Halibel and didnt activate his Bankai again until he fought Aizen
To be fair Shirafude Ichimonji has a significant weakness as it appears that the target needs to have been hit with the ink from the Shikai thus erasing their name in order to be renamed by the Shinuchi, so in theory characters like Aizen and Ichigo could blitz Ichibei before he could get the Shikai off or in Aizens case just use Kyoka Suigetsu and easily kill Ichibei.
Out of the Bankai I've found I've had the hardest time ranking Shirafude Ichimonji the hardest on a conceptual level. It is undeniably powerful but is also completely useless. All of the power is in the Shikai. The only time in combat it would be necessary to use is against someone like Yhwach (where it proved useless anyway). Since shikai is sufficient to beat anyone it has to beat and to use Bankai it requires shikai, shouldn't that make the Bankai arguably the worst of all the Bankai? That is my argument anyway. Konjiki Ashisogi Jizo Matai Fukuin Shotai I personally rank 11th due to the following argument. There are 4 situations a person would want to use Bankai. (1) When alone against a single adversary, (2) When alone against several adversaries, (3) when with comrades against a single adversary , and finally (4) when with comrades against several adversaries. While all Bankai are specialized in one of these 4 to a degree, the best will be good at all of them. Its interesting dividing things up this way as I walked away with a much bigger respect for Shuhei Hisagi's Bankai. It is straight up garbage during 1v1, 1v many, and many v many but is absolutely god tier in terms of support in many v one. It can be used offensively against the opponent to drain the opponent's reiatsu. If the opponent decides to be clever and attack your allies you can remove it and attach to your ally to prevent them from receiving said wounds. I also lost a lot of respect for Katen Kyokotsu as it is straight up the worst bankai when allies are near. There is a reason it took so long to appear in the series. It is extremely specialized and if we are judging bankai by both power and versatility I would most definitely say this is a mid tier bankai overall. My personal list of the Top 10 would be: 1. Zanka no Tachi - Genryusai Yamamoto 2. Tensa Zangetsu - Ichigo Kurosaki 3. Urozakuro - Soya Azashiro 4. Senbonzakura Kageyoshi - Byakuya Kuchiki 5. Kannonbiraki Benihime Aratame - Kisuke Urahara 6. Kamishini no Yari - Gin Ichimaru 7. Kenpachi Zaraki's Unnamed Bankai 8. Daiguren Hyorinmaru - Toshiro Hitsugaya 9. Soo Zabimaru - Renji Abarai 10. Minazuki - Unohana Anyway enjoyed the video. The already broken power comes from his shikai, for everything that is covered by his Ink, looses his name, and everything without his name looses his powers. So just his shikai makes his enemies powerless. His bankai being able to just rename them into something else that might be weaker is kind of irrelevant, since they have no power anymore already. Oldman Yama G just because look at his Bankai have you seen it in action lol. 1 Ichibei, obviously! His abilities to give, change, and take names is ridiculous and then he can control the color black like it’s own personal play thing is also ridiculous in itself. But that’s personally my top 5 if we’re talking combat, reiatsu, and effectiveness and getting the job done. And I didn’t put Mayuri due to the simple fact that if you’re strong enough you can blow his poison gas away with your reiatsu. Urahara because his Bankai is more of a support close range Bankai. Byakuya’s Bankai because it’s already been shown by an Ichigo who had just learned Bankai that if you’re faster than his petals you can deflect them. But all this is my opinion.
I don't think Urahara's range is a weakness because you have to go inside that range to fight him. Yamamoto uses Zanka no tachi. He just makes himself fireproof and removes the heat from the flames. Toshiro or Rukia? Shinji, Azashiro, Shunsui...? He makes himself immune or alters the air/environment around him to protect himself. Without taking power levels into account, it really is the ultimate Bankai.
The Bankai is reconstruction/deconstruction + limited spatial manipulation It’s not reality warping or editing himself or the world around him however he likes. That aside, Yama’s Bankai existence erases things, Rukia’s is absolute zero, and Toshiro’s is conceptual power nullification along with being able to freeze Gerard who’s immune to elemental attacks, so I don’t think he’d just be able to make himself immune to those
@@jocoolshow we see Urahara reconstruct himself with altered attributes, like when he altered his physical strength, and potenially his own reiatsu structure due to him injuring Askin despite Askin already tasting his reiatsu which should have made him immune. So it's not merely "limited spatial manipulation" like when reconstructing the ground to teleport Grimmjow behind Askin. He can completely reconstruct anything within his Bankai domain. Yamamoto *burns* things out of existance. Become fireproof that obviously won't happen. It's not pure hax like Ichibe's mausoleum of night. Anyone who can resist his flame is immune to his existance erasure. Toshiro requires freezing something to its core to conceptually freeze the target and its power. Both he and Rukia use cryo powers. Rukia by targeting the temperature of the thing directly, and Toshiro by freezing the elements and using them as a medium to freeze the target. Those 3 are actually the easiest to counter, so I'm suprised you used them.
Honestly in my opinion if you’re talking about the most powerful Shunsui should be a lot higher, and definitely higher than Urahara! Don’t get me wrong Urahara’s Bankai is really strong but it(or at least from what I’ve seen) lacks the killing skill! It’s more of assistance type Bankai than a killing type. It assists its user by repairing and making certain aspects of its user stronger. But Shunsui’s Bankai is definitely more powerful than Urahara’s. Just going by the reactions alone Shunsui’s Bankai is extremely powerful. Given all the Bankai we’ve seen released how many othe Bankai have had people who were miles away be affected by its reiatsu. Even when Kenpachi released his Bankai, when Urahara released his, or Toshiro released his adult Bankai you didn’t see the reactions other characters who miles away like they did Shunsui’s Bankai. And that literally just goes to show how powerful or how much reiatsu his Bankai released. And even those who were affected by how his Bankai changed the atmosphere how many Bankai can say affected that many people even when they were miles away! Going off reiatsu alone Shunsui’s Bankai is extremely powerful and Kubo literally went that extra mile for the readers to show that Shunsui is not just some regular ordinary Captain but you might be mistaken. It would be wise to remember of whom you’re talking about “HE IS CAPTAIN COMMANDER OF THE GOTEI 13 SHUNSUI KYORAKU!!!” LOL.

The only drawback to Ichibei's Shirafude Ichimonji I can think of is this: Doesn't Ichibei have to actually have his ink hit the enemy for him to then rename it? If that's the case, someone whose abilities revolve around speed, time dilation or acceleration, or manipulating space would have the opportunity to avoid Shirafude Ichimonji's effect, at least if my understanding of how it works is right.
Actually Zaraki never hit Gerard's shield with his shikai, only his base zanpaktou(ch.667 pg.12). As Kubo said himself"Zaraki's blade is unrivaled"(ch.578 pg.5). Meaning his is the strongest.
Zaraki’s shikai hit God Size Gerard’s shield several times at full power and only managed to chip it Mature Bankai Toshiro was able to cut that same weapon that’s being used by Vollstandig Gerard in 2 with a casual slash And that’s after Gerard got miracle amped by Bankai Kenny However, Toshiro’s is just pure physical strength while Zaraki has physical strength + spatial cutting (though it doesn’t seem to work on people on his level or stronger like Gerard)

He chipped Hoffnung because the damage inflicted on it is reflected back on him due to it's reflect hax. 2.Toshiro's was able to break Hoffnung because of his hax ability, not pure physical strength and wasn't able to hurt Gerard himself. But Zaraki was able to pierce Gerard's flesh with just his fingertips while in base(ch.671 pg.16)to save Toshiro's life by knocking him over.

Urahara because his Bankai is more of a support close range Bankai. Kenpachi because he couldn’t control his power correctly and it hurts himself if he can’t control it properly.
Byakuya’s Bankai because it’s already been shown by an Ichigo who had just learned Bankai that if you’re faster than his petals you can deflect them. But all this is my opinion.
I don't think Urahara's range is a weakness because you have to go inside that range to fight him. Yamamoto uses Zanka no tachi. He just makes himself fireproof and removes the heat from the flames. Toshiro or Rukia? Shinji, Azashiro, Shunsui...? He makes himself immune or alters the air/environment around him to protect himself. Without taking power levels into account, it really is the ultimate Bankai.
The Bankai is reconstruction/deconstruction + limited spatial manipulation
It’s not reality warping or editing himself or the world around him however he likes. That aside, Yama’s Bankai existence erases things, Rukia’s is absolute zero, and Toshiro’s is conceptual power nullification along with being able to freeze Gerard who’s immune to elemental attacks, so I don’t think he’d just be able to make himself immune to those
@@jocoolshow we see Urahara reconstruct himself with altered attributes, like when he altered his physical strength, and potenially his own reiatsu structure due to him injuring Askin despite Askin already tasting his reiatsu which should have made him immune. So it's not merely "limited spatial manipulation" like when reconstructing the ground to teleport Grimmjow behind Askin. He can completely reconstruct anything within his Bankai domain.
Yamamoto *burns* things out of existance. Become fireproof that obviously won't happen. It's not pure hax like Ichibe's mausoleum of night. Anyone who can resist his flame is immune to his existance erasure.
Toshiro requires freezing something to its core to conceptually freeze the target and its power. Both he and Rukia use cryo powers. Rukia by targeting the temperature of the thing directly, and Toshiro by freezing the elements and using them as a medium to freeze the target.
Those 3 are actually the easiest to counter, so I'm suprised you used them.
Honestly in my opinion if you’re talking about the most powerful Shunsui should be a lot higher, and definitely higher than Urahara! Don’t get me wrong Urahara’s Bankai is really strong but it(or at least from what I’ve seen) lacks the killing skill! It’s more of assistance type Bankai than a killing type. It assists its user by repairing and making certain aspects of its user stronger. But Shunsui’s Bankai is definitely more powerful than Urahara’s. Just going by the reactions alone Shunsui’s Bankai is extremely powerful. Given all the Bankai we’ve seen released how many othe Bankai have had people who were miles away be affected by its reiatsu. Even when Kenpachi released his Bankai, when Urahara released his, or Toshiro released his adult Bankai you didn’t see the reactions other characters who miles away like they did Shunsui’s Bankai. And that literally just goes to show how powerful or how much reiatsu his Bankai released. And even those who were affected by how his Bankai changed the atmosphere how many Bankai can say affected that many people even when they were miles away! Going off reiatsu alone Shunsui’s Bankai is extremely powerful and Kubo literally went that extra mile for the readers to show that Shunsui is not just some regular ordinary Captain but you might be mistaken. It would be wise to remember of whom you’re talking about “HE IS CAPTAIN COMMANDER OF THE GOTEI 13 SHUNSUI KYORAKU!!!” LOL.

The only drawback to Ichibei's Shirafude Ichimonji I can think of is this: Doesn't Ichibei have to actually have his ink hit the enemy for him to then rename it? If that's the case, someone whose abilities revolve around speed, time dilation or acceleration, or manipulating space would have the opportunity to avoid Shirafude Ichimonji's effect, at least if my understanding of how it works is right.

Actually Zaraki never hit Gerard's shield with his shikai, only his base zanpaktou(ch.667 pg.12). As Kubo said himself"Zaraki's blade is unrivaled"(ch.578 pg.5). Meaning his is the strongest.
Zaraki’s shikai hit God Size Gerard’s shield several times at full power and only managed to chip it
Mature Bankai Toshiro was able to cut that same weapon that’s being used by Vollstandig Gerard in 2 with a casual slash
And that’s after Gerard got miracle amped by Bankai Kenny
However, Toshiro’s is just pure physical strength while Zaraki has physical strength + spatial cutting (though it doesn’t seem to work on people on his level or stronger like Gerard)

2.Toshiro's was able to break Hoffnung because of his hax ability, not pure physical strength and wasn't able to hurt Gerard himself. But Zaraki was able to pierce Gerard's flesh with just his fingertips while in base(ch.671 pg.16)to save Toshiro's life by knocking him over.
