    It's also great to see how you use the Tracks for mixing and performing an entire song "live", very helpful as a starting point for some of my own ideas! Thanks again!

    The music of yours that I like and inspire me the most is the one you make with Circuit, I love that gear. With it, good sounds and one more track for an external synth you have everything you need to make songs.
    I have Retro Futurism 2 ready, but it won't be out until March 22nd (there are some demos on my channel). I'd love for you to try it, i'm sending you an email with it tonight.

      Looking forward to it! I can't guarantee I'll have a video up in a timely manner but I'm sure I'll end up using it a lot, given how much I like the first one.

    This song is awesome! It‘s my favorite so far. Superb job with the HP/LP filter on the Circuit. Love how you let it kick in right to the beat.

    Yah Gabe Miller! A Force Truly Evil's Retro Futurism Part One is the one thing that made my OG Circuit suddenly sound stunning-and makes me actually want to play it! Yay Force Truly Evil! 🙂

      @@GabeMillerMusic Definitely Gabe, I’m a brain injury survivor, but before my life changing accident. I was never particularly gifted at maths. Had and could set up decks . Found out nearly two years ago that hardware has become affordable. So had to fulfill school boy fantasies. Plus live in flat at top of tower block and can’t play strings after 8 pm. But yeah hardcore raver, man and boy. Looking forward to hearing what music people are going to produce, now the instruments are obtainable. Guys like yourself. When I first heard and became obsessed with electronic music in the late eighties. I genuinely believed acoustic or traditional instruments would only be seen in museums. I’ve found the music that was changing our world is now dad rock and younger people going back to punk .keep up the good work.

    I have a similar situation with a Tracks, MicroFreak, but with a vintage Yamaha AN200, I LOVE IT. Love your One Shot Pack for the Tracks and will most likely buy your MicroFreak patches pack as well.

    Amazing Bro! I noticed you didn’t use the scenes or projects? You must have had the pattern settings on “slow” because we still hear a lot of variations. Well done!

    • @GabeMillerMusic
      @GabeMillerMusic  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! I do have some long, slow patterns, but I also do use project switching a few times for the major sections of the song (whenever the pads go all blue). I also did some extra stuff to get variation like note probability for percussion, and an uneven pattern length for the hi hat part.

    Interesting to watch you perform, my favourite synth to pair with the Tracks is my Nord Modular, just for the flexibility and variety of sounds you can get out of it.

    Not gonna contradict you on this one. The Typhon by Dreadbox - at around the same price point - is also a great addition, especially for leads and ambient drones.

    The Tracks + a well-programmed mono synth or two is a hard combination to beat.

  • @markdowning9798
    @markdowning9798 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great sound! The extra synths really complement the otherwise a little empty sounding Tracks. Question, instead of having to buy expensive synthesizers to plug into the Tracks, is it possible to use downloaded laptop vst or standalone synthesizers that will take beat and note signals from the Tracks Midi 1 and Midi 2, pan each PC synth left and right, and return to the Tracks Inputs 1 and 2 with a splitter for mixing? Keep up the great work!

  • @tomster
    @tomster 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Too bad that you can't really use the line-in on the Tracks for both. The JU needs stereo for chorus and the Tracks would merge it into a mono + the Microfreak needs an external amp pretty badly, given it's low vol output.

    Yo Gabe super cool stuff bro !! i am into synthwave and some minimal house music! i got Circuit tracks and thinking about getting the Minilogue xd module since i dont have a poly synth ( also got a behringer Crave and way too many software synths but i wanna expand in hardware ) and maybe later the microfreak we ll see. you think its a good choice for the kind of stuff i am into ? Cheers!!

    Hey Gabe.
    I have a question for you:
    Is it possible to dublicate a whole drum section with already set filters and panings, to an other project, so you could make a b-section(chorus), with different notes, but still keeping the drums from the first project? Basically I just want the same drums through out the full melody, but with changing synth/bass parts…
    All the best from Denmark.
    Anders.

    Plug your Microfreak into a preamp pedal. Like the Darkglass Harmonic Booster (or the demonfx clone,) it'll knock all the cringy Nintendo right out of the Microfreak & you'll fall back in love with it all over again just like when it was new. Even the TC Electronic Spectra Drive burnishes the sonics in lovely ways, esp kicking in the compressor.

  • @dinogoldie9716
    @dinogoldie9716 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Circuit Tracks also plays nicely with Sonicware's Liven XFM and 8bit Warps. The Microfreak is mighty but it only has 4 note polyphony and the Tracks has 6 note per synth polyphony..

    • @GabeMillerMusic
      @GabeMillerMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's definitely a limitation (you can even hear voice stealing happen in this jam, especially near the beginning), but it's still totally workable.

  • @daijotogashi
    @daijotogashi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Gabe, your videos are great. If you have time, I have a quick question: I love my Circuit OG, the workflow in particular, but I'm thinking of replacing it with the Circuit Tracks because I'd like to be able to connect some external synths in addition to the two internal synth tracks. However, I understand that you were completely bewitched by the Rhythm version. I wondered what you would have chosen if you had to make a choice, simple curiosity :) Thanks for sharing your knowledge and feeling!

    • @GabeMillerMusic
      @GabeMillerMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're trying to have an expanded synth setup, I think the Tracks is the obvious choice. If you don't mind staying self contained and want to have a wider variety of sounds or do sample chopping, I'd say go with the Rhythm.

    Are you routing the audio trough the circuit? Do you use external effects?
    Sick jam!

    • @GabeMillerMusic
      @GabeMillerMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! Yes, I'm routing all of the audio through the Circuit, which is supplying the sidechain, reverb, and delay. I'm not using insert effects in this jam, but it's something I want to mess with more in the future.

    Hey.
    Questions for the experts.
    - How do I activate to hear the built-in project package that comes inside the device?
    - Can the projects and sounds built into the device as they left the factory be accidentally deleted??
    - How is it possible to reset the device as it left the factory with the built-in sounds and projects at the press of a button?
    Many thanks to the helpers
