Barbera is a classic Piedmontese grape that rose in popularity in the last 20 years thanks to an ever-increasing quality of the grapes and attention to detail by producers of the Alba, Asti & Monferrato area. In today's episode, we learn about 2 of the 3 Barberas our winery produces: the Tradizionale & Buon Ricordo. The first being made from grapes coming from multiple sources and aged in traditional large Oak Barrels, while the latter, from a single vineyard and aged in small french barriques.
