Fig tasting - Saint Dominique Violette and Marseille Black VS

Some of the first ripening figs of the year, and we get to try two figs for the first time; St Doniniques Violette and Marseill Black VS.
Both of these figs are from cuttings not even a year old and may have room to grow.
I have some suspicions as to the correct type of The Saint Dominique, there is not a lot of information available online, but pictures suggest it should have a red interior rather than yellow or amber, and should have a more purple colouration. We will see how this fig progresses as it gets a bit older.

Being in pots helps a lot, I have so many that are a few weeks off ripening, it should be an excellent year
