I'm just here because people always say "goth is about the music" and I didn't know what goth music sounds like... (don't worry, I do not self-identify as goth), but it reminds me of the Dark Wave radio station of Sims 3. Which is really cool because they actually took the effort of reasearching.

this is but one of many styles, goth is less a genre and more a variety of genres inspired by a conflagration of synth pop, punk, and industrial as well as other similar movements which fell the post-punk banner, all rapped up in dark romanticism. I'm not a Goth, I'm a pagan and into Celtic / Viking / Nordic music. But I love this! Call me dumb, but I always imagined Goths listening to something like church organ music and all dark and eerie stuff. This music is great, I'm 41 years old and just discovered what you Goths listen to hehe. It's cool.
They also listen to this stuff. Especially the ones into medieval/Victorian/ vampire/ romantic Goth aesthetic.
I am not seriously into the scene, but from what I have experienced, Goth music is pretty much dance music! I mean, its dark and heavy, but the phat bass and solid tempo are for moving your leather-clad booty.

It's amazing that listening to one post-punk song 3 years ago by 'Our Daughter's Wedding' opened up this entire hidden world to me.
I absolutely adore this. Thank you. I am very depressed and chronically ill, this helps. I used to go to Goth clubs. Then I was a Funeral Director/Embalmer and I got ill, and injured discs in my back and neck, etc. Loved that job so very much helping people Iived for it. My body gave out. I'm slowly writing books about it.

I'm 54. I never was a goth but when I was 16 I started to crave synth/techno/electronic/industrial... and when I discovered a few years ago minimal wave, synth, goth, dark I can't have enough of it! It works as an hypnotic music, as chill music, as relaxing music and, of course as exciting music, what else?🤪😜🤩♓ thanks Cypress !!

I'm not goth either, but due to Covid-19 lockdown my hair grew so long someone I was working with asked if I'm goth. Then I started to listen to more Goth music, starting with Sisters of Mercy and now I'm here. But I've always thought being goth is to be half depressed. This music doesn't depress me.

Whilst I'm not into tbe occultic aspects of things some Goths are into, I'm most certainly into the music. Never heard of Drab Majesty until now, brilliant track.
Occultic? if you mean esoterics, paganism and occultism: that's not typically a Goth thing, more an individual one. Some people are into this stuff, many are not. Sometimes vaguely "occultic" shit gets worked into the fashion but I find it honestly cringy and would never that. You can enjoy the music and fashion without ever liking that stuff.
