I'm not sure... I have made peace with the fact that I cannot consume all music/bands I might like "at the right time". So there might be more people like me, that are just happy to discover brilliant songs of one of their many interests. Might be that I could catch a gig in nearby, might also be, that the band has long surpassed. Too bad in the latter case, but it's like that.

I thank the Cocteau Twins for bring "Dream-pop" and "Shoegaze" into the forefront of music, within empty caves, there are hidden the endless liquid pools of delicious echoing and everlasting cascades of reverberation. Plus, Elizabeth Fraser's vocals as "The Voice of God" and the Japanese renamed her as:
"The Woman, Whom God Has Ever Loved".

Their story is built upon my own soul, to never reveal Elizabeth's secrets to the general audience by Robin Guthrie's command.
I'd never hurt them in this way, but it aches me sometimes that people would try to know how to understand that great beauty, often comes from such grave suffering. Isn't this the way it always happens..... ??? Your ❤hearts will always know the way, through.

yeah they're amazing. Back in the day there was a magazine called Magnet... you kinda just found stuff through that, and then i mean, if you know a record label, you can check every band on that... and then friends always knew other stuff. THEN you'd find an actually decent record shop, and you could almost look at the cover art and be fairly confident their music would be great... it didn't always work, but I remember i was at a Borders, and although Boards of Canada's Campfire Headphase looked like it had to be good, they did have stations to audition cd's... of course it is legendary

You're all wonderful. But don't ever forget: The Cocteau Twins INVENTED you. Your queen, and mine, is still "Elizabeth (Fraser)". Some people call some of their musical tracks "b-side". That's wrong and foolish. That term does not apply. They had NO "b-sides"! Fraser is a quiet, soft-spoken, private person, but when she uses her voice, she'll have a unique and direct access to primal human emotions, English... Any Language, cannot *contain* Elizabeth's singing, this is not a gimmick! I never met her. I don't think I ever will. Nobody's THAT lucky, certainly not me, but she spreads beauty, strong and loud enough to even reach the sh1thole where I live. A land that feeds off the bloody and blunt. She makes it all better.

Imagine telling someone who's super into MBV and Slowdive in the early '90s that 30 years later this sound is gonna come back, but it's gonna be almost seamlessly blended not just with mid-'80s 4AD Records-type stuff but also things that sound like a less bombastic version of Pink Floyd's "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason"...

It seems to be more of an ethos than a genre. The songs in this mix fit together seamlessly, but I would have a hard time writing a definition for "Shoegaze" music. Would Portishead or Stereolab fit into this group? What about Yo La Tengo or Luna? Maybe categories aren't that important. But I'm happy to learn about all the new-to-me bands presented in this mix.

alright im going to be truthful... I am not into the vocals. They're too... idk.. clear, and they just sound like 80's vocals... which is fine, we all have our different tastes, but I just want to be honest with you guys since let's be real... we have more in common than most all other humans on this planet. Take care.

Grande compilação, aliás destaco Be Forest, Drab Majesty, Tamaryn e Secret Attraction, que repito muitas vezes as faixas deles kkkk
