@@charliehmmm9400 Brazil has the highest population outside many countries from the whole world, not just Africa, man. We are a highly mixed people. And the level of influency from those cultures changes completely depending on the area. For example, where I live there is much more indigenous influency than the others. The way cassava is made in my region is the way indigenous people make cassava, for example. So I understand why she was surprised, the same way I get surprised when I see the similarities between japanese and brazilian expressions or food in the southeast... even though Brazil has the highest population of japaneses living outside Japan

The Eukka root looks something like Tapioca root we have in the southern part of India. Just boil the root with turmeric and salt and smash it up small, then add green chilli and ginger paste and mix well. Then add a bit of raw organic coconut oil...it will taste absolutely delicious.

the first one is like Jamaica’s 🇯🇲 callalo and steam banana. we usually cook the callalo (spinach) with either saltfish or some sort of salt pork along with steamed, boiled or fried dumplings, steam plantain, yellow/white yam or even bammy (cassava). so cool knowing even with all the time that has passed and the circumstances of our arrival on the island, our African appetite survived. much love ❤️ !
