One I just found: Spark bolt trigger->fireball orbit->pollen. The fireballs home on to enemies, stay far away from you without much momentum to come bouncing back in your face, and usually multiple of them hit if possible. It also doubles as a really good sludge and water mixer and a passable digging tool :P
can you make a video explaining different types of "homing" modifiers? like what is the practical difference between rotate towards foes and a homing etc. I would like to see the difference in action
Basic gist, the stronger it sounds, the earlier it latches onto enemies. Small Homing needs the projectile very close to the enemy, where as Rotate Towards Foe and Auto-aim go directly towards the closest foe.
I'm not sure if you are still do not know (I'm responding to a year old comment), but I'll explain the differences between rotate, normal, and accelerating homing (these are the ones that are pretty similar functionally). SInce certain spells (not just bouncing orb) gain damage based velocity, having these three variations allows you to use this better. Normal homing is usually more accurate as a form of homing, but can kill velocity based damage. Rotate ONLY rotates the direction, and leaves speed and acceleration unaffected, which makes it ideal for homing when using velocity-based weapons. Acceleration can be used in a similar vein, allowing you to create weapons with relatively high velocity damage with a low amount of slots. Acceleration is usually worse with velocity damage builds because accelerating towards enemies can still lower your speed if the proj has pierce or misses, and is generally worse at staying on target while maintaining high speeds.
You know what I would really love is an in-depth video about the nuances of alchemy, when you're trying to make lively concoction or precursor (or ambrosia, or when using vampirism, or other things). I know most people don't bother with them unless they find it by coincidence, but there's a lot of gameplay in just working out ways to use the environment to harvest the stuff you want to make, and I'd love to see someone showing off some better ways to do it. For example, I was trying to make LC on a seed where it took teleportatium/gunpowder/blood, and while I managed it three separate times, none of them were under reproducible scenarios. I tried mixing the three things in all sorts of different orders, I tried creating flows of one or both liquids over a slope of gunpowder, I tried making flasks of 50/50 blood and teleportatium and burying it in gunpowder and then breaking the flask, but nothing really seemed to work except staring at it in frustration until it spontaneously partially transmuted for no obvious reason, in an unharvestable spot. So I'd love to get some insight on the mechanics of this system, if you have any.
A person after my own heart! Yes, I have very strong feelings and insights about alchemy. It's my favorite mechanic in the entire game (well, the pixel physics and interactions in general.) I do have several videos on alchemy and the materials, even unobtainable materials, and I also have probably more experience than anyone experimenting with them (I've spent thousands of hours just playing around with the physics and materials in the game...) However, when I do actual runs, I don't ever look up the alchemy recipe for my seed. If I stumble into it, I stumble into it - even if just a pixel, and then I try to figure it out. That said, I regularly play Noita just as a sandbox and not as a roguelite, so, like I said, I spend hours just playing with these systems and not actually doing runs. Anyway, sure, I will be making a video about all this. But I have about 500gb of video footage right now for videos I already have in production, and I have to make my way through some of that first. Have a great day! Keep experimenting.
The fireball orbit wand (first one) works really well with trick blood money because it counts as "trick kill" so you get lifesteal (we can see it in the video)
My personal favorite that I discovered in my second run was long distance cast downwards bolt burst unstable crystal. It just kinda... makes an explosion wherever you point it and worked fairly well against the mechanical enemies in the snowy depths before I accidentally set everything on fire and got shot trying to escape the inferno
Another batch of small builds? Excellent! I like how you dovetailed the "unlimited crit on [material]" and the "heavy bouncing burst" wand builds into the math behind the Kolmi-killer wand. It actually made sense to me, and despite having played Noita for a couple years now, very little still does! 😅
Biggest damage I could make was a homimg piercing spells to power accelerating bouncing burst off of an orbiting sparkbolt castimg infinite square barriers on me. Highest DPS I have ever managed was I believe around 80 billion. 4 billion off of just one wand.
One of my favorite simple travel wands is a timer luminous drill, with a short range teleport. This is incredibly common and easy to find, and allows easy traversal through painful terrain, such as Hiisi base, as you can effectively travel through medium thickness walls with impunity, allowing you to dodge in and out of rooms, drop bombs and dip behind cover, or simply travel fast with a balanced wand cast speed/delay. It's very easy to swap out short range teleport for its variants, add more digging utility spells with the teleport, or even swap out the teleport for other spells, as the timer luminous drill allows so much versatility in casting from behind a wall, and can be found easily in the first shop and onward.
Null Shot is amazing. It enables so many scuffed but super handy early digging builds when drills or black holes cant be found. Plasma Beams, Plasma Cutters, Giga Sawblades, Omega Sawblades. The thought of infinite true orbit omega null blades crossed my mind for digging, can you imagine? No, it does NOT work on giga or omega black hole! Nolla or a trigger is still required for safely using them. The new Giga White Hole is a much safer option even unmodified, and it even becomes infinite with the infinite spells perk!
I once had simple yet the most effective healing wand I've ever had, a lumi drill with timer, a modifier that casts one spell backwards and one spell forward, a greek letter that casts healing bolt and regular lumi drill with ping pong path. I was actively healing while in combat
this is great! these are almost all great core concepts that you can use to go further even the honorable mentions, as finding a wand with one good stat is like finding the one good spell you need, a little bit...
Appreciate the pollen love, and definitely recommend Pollen for new players since it's very common for its power level. Pollen won me my first run with Long Distance Cast to spawn the projectiles at a slightly safer distance. I eventually scaled it up with Add Mana/Lumi for the usual chainsaw wanding, but even before that being able to safely fire homing projectiles at enemies around corners and through walls made for invaluable, safe damage all through Frozen Cave - and as both a defensive and digging tool, I *only* used the one wand.
i have played noita a lot and i can say i'm very knowledgeable of spell combos but it still come to watch your content. it's not only useful but they're just great. (like: "we have creepy liquid at home" build LOL)

literally my next run after watching the first video was my first time passing hisi base can't wait to see what luck and/or skill this sequel video grants me
It may have been in your previous videos on this, I am not certain, but one my favorite 2 slots wands is short range homing and summon rock. I call it “angry rock” and it can very effectively clear out big groups of enemies, assuming none of them can destroy physics objects. If you want to be a little more ridiculous with it, the infite spells perk and switch ping out short range homing for accelerative homing allows for you to spam very fest angry rocks and clear out entire areas very quickly.
That travel wand. Lemme see if I understand this. Lightning bolt is the fastest traveling projectile, increase the base distance, then multiply it with the lifetime to get an obscenely long lightning bolt that triggers the swapper bolt spawning on top of a deer to swap you and the deer, now 1 world away. What's with the damage? because it's a friendly? Also, the second time, how did you teleport underground? Is it because it's not loaded? Otherwise the lightning bolt should expire and teleport you wherever it collided
Hey man, both part 1 and this video are great, thanks for the quality work you put into producing them! It was almost exactly 2 years since I played Noita, but the game's music crept back into my mind and I started listening to the albums these past few days. That tasty psychedelic jazz is so unique, it's really one of a kind, gotta' love it. It just grabbed me and pulled me back to the solitude of the mines, to raiding the funky jungle and crashing hiisi kill parties. This roguelike has such a unique vibe, I logged back again yesterday for a run. Thanks for all those great videos, I was learning a lot from you since the first days of version 1.0!
That is absolutely incredible! Aren't Null Shot and Fish still only on the Beta branch though? When they're finally on release I look forward to playing with them. That infinite wand fish farm looks ridiculous. The lightning long-distance travel wand though - now that one is genius!
Slightly more complex but effective Spark bolt trigger, nolla, large explosive box. Scales massively when you add piercing and homing and explosive weakness curses and increase lifetimes to the spark bolt
One of my favourite builds ever spit out a big swarm of Pollen with dozens of Damage Fields added (I think I had around 6-7 Damage Field and the spell that casts all modifiers on the wand again). It wrecked everything, and if it didn't die right away just spray some more.
You covered fireball thrower, and you covered pollen, but I like those two together a lot. With pollen’s slow homing, sometimes it just rides up right besides an enemy without hitting them, but now if it does that, it hits them with a fireball, which does good damage on its own.
Add a few Damage Field and if the orbiting fireballs don't kill your enemies, the damage field will. Good to use with Spark Bolt Trigger or Long Distance Cast so it doesn't blow up in your face as often.
Damn we really went from "a rock that makes a lotta water", to "HERES A WAND THAT SENDS YOU ANOTHER FREAKING DIMENSION" i especially love that casting the wand looks kind of like the delorean's time traveling in back to the future
I would never have considered something like the we have creepy liquid at home build. It's amazing how many interactions go unused because we simply don't think of them.
fun fact about trick kills, 2nd degree burns are considered a trick. So as long as the last wound on a mob is a slight singe, you're legally not binded for murder and you get to claim the insurance.
The chain spell with teleporting cat explosion demonstration cracked me up! Excellent video! Edit: auto corrected to cat instead of cast, but I'll leave it lol
6:40 this one is absolutely hilarious if you add fire trail to it. Oil blood does help though, and I also had exploding corpses. Just rapid-fire that shit and burn down the entire level and everything in it. Also deletes Steve in seconds. I've played Noita for maybe 5-6 hours at this point, and this build was the first time I got a little taste of how insanely powerful you can get. I need more.
The healing bolt definitely works best with boomerang, but from my experience it's a pretty rare modifier (or the game has been trolling me all the time). Because of that, it's worth noting that it can be replaced with spells that cause the projectile to turn 180 degrees, like gravity or fly downwards. It requires good positioning but works well. Larpas are awesome too.
the bounce modifier is very common and works wonderfully, too. just shoot the healing bolt towards a flat surface like a wall or ceiling. orbiting arc also works perfectly, but is about as uncommon as boomerang I think.
Ping-Pong Path works in a pinch, too. And, if you really don't have any of those modifiers, then you can just toss the healy wand to a wand-capable enemy and get them to heal you instead!
Love those simple combos man, noita gets so much more fun when you know a build for each of the random resourses given each time. You should do a video with one simple wand for every boss in the game, noob me would have really appreciated that.
Такое уже есть. В принципе решения 90% это плазменный резак (или плазменый луч). Иногда боссов может убить потолок. В принципе предлагаю не парится и просто использовать плазменный резак.
@@magnus6801Plasma cutter only works on connoiseur and alchemist, maybe even forgotten. Leviathan, wizard, tiny and even kolmi after some orbs need specific wands.
I found enjoyful build use from this video, it's also 5am I just died in my first almost god tier run after 7 hours. Will certainly try to make use of these wands next run.
This is nice because I defeated the dragon on my last game, but I died due to drowning in his bloody pulped up remains while I was looking at the spells it dropped. I was wondering what that weird tone was, and it clicked for me just before I died. At least I now have the spell.
Damage field on pollen is very strong because of the way it slows down the closer it is to the enemy. It is very good at shredding enemies with damage field for a fair amount before actually colliding with them.
a good one i found recently is spark bolt with trigger and a plasma cutter with the homing modifier, when the spark bolt lands it makes a "kill zone" in the range of the plasma cutter that will just point in the direction of any near by enemies, you have to be VERY CAREFUL though
May I suggest fireball orbit + pollen? I used it and it destroyed half of the snowy depths in a few minutes. Maybe you could do a part 3? (Also plasma orbit on summon swarm and acid trail on a rock are terrible ideas, I would know)
These are amazing and I will need to either memorize them or have a list handy when I get back to Noita. I managed to kill the boss west of the caves/first biome, and have been riding that high for a while.
@@hariman7727 How did you kill him? My first time I didn't want to risk my character dying, so I hid in the rock and poked him with a long luminous drill. I still got hurt, he made things difficult.
fun fact:giga discs can dig through any material(technically also the shuriken can also do that but barely), but be careful because you are dealing with self damage in noita
Might I add: Freezing gaze works in a similar way to triplicate bolt when used in combination with fireball orbit, with even more projectiles. It's unfortunate it's held back by limited uses, though.
The best wand ive ever made was like 2 short ranged homings a normal homing 1 luminous drill and a quadruple cast it tore through everything being able to go through walls and just slicing anything in half and it got me to the end of the game i almost forgot it had reduce spell time as an always cast
Yay another minimal wand build one gets uploaded before i decide wich one of the funny tower wands i get.(I'll probably just go for the 26 or whatever per cast one)
Larpa Orbit with a Bouncing Burst is also capable of dealing really high damage for only 2 slots and low mana usage. It's not very consistent, but targeting enemies with the orbiting projectile is an easy early game way to deal 100s of dps.
I got a silly 2-slot build Magic arrow with trigger into explosion of thunder Literally one shots everything (Electricity/electric immunity perks are a seatbelt for this build)
I got 6 triplicate bolts, a 6-cast wand, and the thing that makes projectiles have no spread. This is a effective way of creating death bolts (1000 damage+) (I dunno how)
wait they already released the beta? also good video i really wouldn't have known about something as good as long distance cast teleport if i hadn't watched the previous part (i got to the top of the tower for the first time thanks to that)
I consider wand refresh an honorary Greek letter. It's unlocked by the same boss, and you can find it in the same areas you find Greek letters in. How do you teleport quickly like that? When I teleport too fast my character is no longer at the center of the screen, causing my wand to waver while the screen catches back up, throwing my aim off. (Wish there was a setting to always keep your character centered on screen) Wait how does that last wand let you get to parallel worlds, lightening bolt would stop as soon as it hit a solid wall.
I was going to not reply so that people could find that out in a very shocking way, lol, but somebody would probably reply anyway with the answer: no, unfortunately, it doesn't. Omega Black Hole does area damage, and Null Shot doesn't remove area damage. Omega Saw is the same way. MEH!
I got a wand that the effect thar spawns water below you, breathless, infinite spells, and a perk that electrocutes everything around me in a daily practice run. you can just flood whole levels and electrocute everything. (I installed the game like earlier today too.)
One suprisingly good transport build is long distance cast teleport bolt. The main advantage over regular teleological is that if you get right up on a wall and cast, you can actually go through the wall if there’s open space.

@@magnus6801 Does it not work to just go Summon Taikasauva, Alpha? Seems like it would, but I've never gotten that spell.
@@michaelleue7594,
Да, конечно, но я говорю про фермы, а просто бесконечные палочки.
Ферма это когда ты создаёшь бесконечное количество одинаковых сразу же умирающих палочек. С рыбой это сделать слишком легко.
Slightly more complex but effective
Spark bolt trigger, nolla, large explosive box.
Scales massively when you add piercing and homing and explosive weakness curses and increase lifetimes to the spark bolt
Homing effects + barrier spells with distant cast are also quite nice, as the barrier actually consists of projectiles
One of my favourite builds ever spit out a big swarm of Pollen with dozens of Damage Fields added (I think I had around 6-7 Damage Field and the spell that casts all modifiers on the wand again).
It wrecked everything, and if it didn't die right away just spray some more.
This is all GOLD. So good... Thanks! I just ZAMT my pants on one of these builds.
I use pollen + orbiting saw disc things to dig, he should've included that!
@@blad... Nice combo! I usually avoid Saw Disc Orbit as it likes to kill me when there's an enemy behind me.
Damn we really went from "a rock that makes a lotta water", to "HERES A WAND THAT SENDS YOU ANOTHER FREAKING DIMENSION"
i especially love that casting the wand looks kind of like the delorean's time traveling in back to the future
Normally I'd be against any sort of "teleporting cat explosion", but this game already has Deercoy, so....
Boomerang should be a lot more common now (on beta right now, coming to public branch soon!)
the bounce modifier is very common and works wonderfully, too. just shoot the healing bolt towards a flat surface like a wall or ceiling. orbiting arc also works perfectly, but is about as uncommon as boomerang I think.
Ping-Pong Path works in a pinch, too. And, if you really don't have any of those modifiers, then you can just toss the healy wand to a wand-capable enemy and get them to heal you instead!
This first one and im already happy, thank you for showing people the funny fireball orbit, its one of my fave early game spams
this video is so sick. learning so much and I already completed the Sun Quest. and the laughs lol 10:15
One of my fav is just homing rock.
Possibly with acceleration.
But just base rock and homing is like a landmine and you can kick it to reactivate it.
@@acmwl897,
Левиафан, волшебник, мелкий и колми под орбами. Это все на кого не действует плазма.
Всех остальных она легко выносит.
I found enjoyful build use from this video, it's also 5am I just died in my first almost god tier run after 7 hours. Will certainly try to make use of these wands next run.
Как ты умер?
This is nice because I defeated the dragon on my last game, but I died due to drowning in his bloody pulped up remains while I was looking at the spells it dropped. I was wondering what that weird tone was, and it clicked for me just before I died. At least I now have the spell.
13:05 I gotta be that one snob that would say it - this wand actually deals finite damage, but the cap is so large it's fair to say it's infinite.
Awesome minimalist wands! Can really help get through early/mid game to god tier!
Here's a nice and easy wand I just made:
scatter spells/multicast + downward bolt bundle + spark bolts for that many multicast
May I suggest fireball orbit + pollen? I used it and it destroyed half of the snowy depths in a few minutes.
Maybe you could do a part 3?
(Also plasma orbit on summon swarm and acid trail on a rock are terrible ideas, I would know)
FuryForged: *Lag spikes the game and turns into a FLAMING CUBE OF DESTRUCTION.*
Gods: Oh, fuck no. *Disappears.*
You had me at ZAMT! Great video Fury!
Hollow egg + explosion of brimstone (or just magical explosion).
Works ridiculously well.
you open my mind with each video
These are amazing and I will need to either memorize them or have a list handy when I get back to Noita.
I managed to kill the boss west of the caves/first biome, and have been riding that high for a while.
That's a great accomplishment, and unlocks probably the most useful spells (Greek Letters spells).
@@why_i_game yeah, that spoiler boss.
@@hariman7727 How did you kill him?
My first time I didn't want to risk my character dying, so I hid in the rock and poked him with a long luminous drill. I still got hurt, he made things difficult.
@@why_i_game plasma cutters, if I remember correctly.
A wand that rapid fired them with extra range, combined with digging in to shelter in the walls.
Wake up babe, new Noita vid just dropped.
fun fact:giga discs can dig through any material(technically also the shuriken can also do that but barely), but be careful because you are dealing with self damage in noita
The fish spell making infinite wands is amazing.
Have been seeing this game for years now figure I will give it a go
Might I add: Freezing gaze works in a similar way to triplicate bolt when used in combination with fireball orbit, with even more projectiles.
Dude i love your videos! I didnt know Noita was that huge!
i cant beleive it didnt know about this gakme till now. .its pretty nifty
Sparkbolt w/ trigger -> Nolla -> Death Cross is insanely fun.
homing + damage field + Circle of stillness . Throw in boomerang if you can find one
Thank you for part 2!!!
Chainsaw+Ping Pong is a favorite of mine. Also a nice combo in the early game!
Amazing! Especially with the Rarity Rebalance.
Hey, new to the channel don't think I've ever seen this game but looks really cool. Keep up the great work 😊
I really enjoy your videos, thanks for this one and it’s predecessor. I love Noita but am not very good.
I got a silly 2-slot build
Magic arrow with trigger into explosion of thunder
Literally one shots everything
(Electricity/electric immunity perks are a seatbelt for this build)
Nice! These sorts of videos are so hard to make. It's always so hard to figure out what to put in and what to leave out.
Thats a really clever thumbnail
Great video! Some of those combos I didn't even know about and now want to try.
I knew from the start the Fish Spell™ would be revolutionary
I got 6 triplicate bolts, a 6-cast wand, and the thing that makes projectiles have no spread. This is a effective way of creating death bolts (1000 damage+) (I dunno how)
wait they already released the beta?
also good video
i really wouldn't have known about something as good as long distance cast teleport if i hadn't watched the previous part (i got to the top of the tower for the first time thanks to that)
I swear, I got twice as good at Noita after watching both of these vids, thank you!
You are awesome bro, love your vids and will always love your vids. Keep up the good work brotha
“like these scumbags right here” = Golden
So cool combo i have pollen +damage area+any cloud+homing perk=cloud with area of damage that chases enemies and kills them
I consider wand refresh an honorary Greek letter. It's unlocked by the same boss, and you can find it in the same areas you find Greek letters in.
How do you teleport quickly like that? When I teleport too fast my character is no longer at the center of the screen, causing my wand to waver while the screen catches back up, throwing my aim off. (Wish there was a setting to always keep your character centered on screen)
Wait how does that last wand let you get to parallel worlds, lightening bolt would stop as soon as it hit a solid wall.
Does the new null shot spell take out the omega black hole damage completely?
:O
I was going to not reply so that people could find that out in a very shocking way, lol, but somebody would probably reply anyway with the answer: no, unfortunately, it doesn't. Omega Black Hole does area damage, and Null Shot doesn't remove area damage. Omega Saw is the same way. MEH!
I got a wand that the effect thar spawns water below you, breathless, infinite spells, and a perk that electrocutes everything around me in a daily practice run. you can just flood whole levels and electrocute everything. (I installed the game like earlier today too.)
yo bro, your videos are quite educational and have been a lot of assistance. therefore i both thank and salute you sir :)
I found one pretty good build - homing rockets + piercing.
keeping that disk projectile in the back of my head for next time I get vampirism... jesus thats a lot of blood
I am leaving a comment for your awesome instruction video
Z A M T is my new favorite phrase 😂
One suprisingly good transport build is long distance cast teleport bolt. The main advantage over regular teleological is that if you get right up on a wall and cast, you can actually go through the wall if there’s open space.
:D th-cam.com/video/00Pm9uNs6wU/w-d-xo.html
I have 2 spitter bolts, polymorphine and a dream
