When testing wands try the spells individually so you would have more time to react before they kill you. The most important features in the game are quite clearly explained so you should be able to beat the game without the wiki. And I recommend doing it that way. It's fun learning the mechanics. My first win was when I got lucky with some healing spells, explosion immunity, and some strong spells. I'm not used to playing games where I can't just take a step back and heal up. And I was so scared of not knowing what the enemies could do that I ended up completely deleting the entire Hiisi base biome.

@@mailcs06i saved the seed of my first win and it was one where i was able to get infinite digging and a nice plasma cutter to kill a few other bosses
The death from teleporting into lava wasn't from Kolmi's explosion spell btw. The Teleportitis Dodge perk has a cooldown, so it let you dodge a shot, then it zipped you to under the platform, which got in the way of your levitation, and let another shot hit you, which Teleportitis Dodge couldn't save you from in time.
Fun fact for any new players, NEVER take the teleport perks random tps are one of the most efficient ways to kill yourself, up there with nukes and polymorph. Props to him for actually sticking it thru until he got to Kolmi for the first time (that is a HUGE achievement, just making it past the Hiisi base is something that very few players ever do. Hell another tip while im in the mood is to remember that every pixel is simulated, but also sentient and filled with the desire to kill you (they arent actually sentient but after long enough youll understand why i say they are) fr tho EVERY single pixel is out to get you, ive died to a single pixel of liquid more times than i can count including every single liquid in the game actually, yes even water can kill you instantly if you so much as think about electric damage at the same time. Fr tho just seeing the final boss is more of an achievement in this game than finishing most games on the hardest difficulty is. and even with that insane luck to get those first 2 perks (which carried that run hard) its nearly a miracle that it only took him 60ish runs to get to the boss room, especially given that he went in almost entirely blind
It's always fun to watch people play Noita wondering "Olay how do they lose the run?" Took me a while but I should've realized Teleportitis would toss you into the lava on the final boss
The awesome thing about Noita is that defeating that boss is just 1% of the entire game. There is SOOOOOO much to be explored and do. If you've never played this game, you will most certainly underestimate how much you can explore
Welcome to noita dear friend! ngl going in it without information is wild, because info is a vital thing in this game, tho have to experiment with it on your own is great. Tho I don't think "spoiling" yourself or watching tutorials would be ill advised, as this game is going to kill you in horrible ways no matter how powerful, or how much you know. And you will always be your worst enemy
you did learn quite a bit about noita. most players only beat the game on their 200-400th try, you got to the boss on your 60th, that's an achievement. sadly it's once again a case of "I didn't read/observe what this perk/spell/enemy does and now I'm dead"
me watching this video: - um actually this is not acid, that's toxic sludge - uhm ackchyually, this is not poison, this is acid that you mislabeled before Noita did something to my brain I swear
like other comments, getting to the main boss is absolutely nutty without ever having spoilers I looked at all the spoilers i could understand and still got nowhere, then i watched dunkorslam do a few whole runs, and started to understand I think with 0 outside help this game would legitimately take thousands of hours to learn completely, but tips here and there speed that up dramatically even with a complete guide, it takes a lot of effort to get a win/god run going and most people get their first win at 80-120 hours of gameplay (lots and lots of deaths :P) you got moves! post your first win if you keep playing it :)
There is so much more to this game that I was honestly so overwhelmed the first time with all the extra achievements, like creating the sun and dark sun. I am addicted to this game
Noita is a fun game. Do experiment with new spells, but try to put them on trigger for safety. There's a lot of spells besides sawblades that hurt you as well, such as arrows, glowing lance, pinpoint of light, death cross, etc. When you get good, try to explore the left sides of the biomes - they're usually a lot more dangerous but also rewarding. The way you consistently get powerful in this game is by getting a lot of spells and wands (and learning how to combine them, ofc), so preserving the ability to edit them without going to a new holy mountain would be awesome - hint hint.
Teleportitis is one of the worst perk. The moment you picked that Your death could be predicted to be exactly that. The only way you could’ve won is if you didn’t take any damage and never trigger teleportitis. It’s pretty much useless unless you’re speed running the game to teleport to the bottom of the levels
Wait till he learns about every secret in the game like all the other bosses and biomes he missed. And Kolmi was at his weakest. You can collect secret items called orbs in the game and each boost your health and unlock spells but also buff the boss. If you get 34 of them by going into New Game + and visiting other parallel worlds he can get up to 1 trillion health.
You really should try going past the mountain to the right, you will eventually get to the desert, then the pyramid, and then the "end" of the map, you really need to get there and practice climbing it, that is the best way to learn where you can stand, and how truly big is your hitbox (if you want to, you can explore inside the pyramid and fight a second boss, that will unlock a couple spells for you for all the future runs) I am saying all of that because there was a place to the right of you on what you actually could stand, but you , like all beginners didn't know it
Oh, just before I forget: you can climb the mountain immediately after spawning in, if you have the dynamite spell, just throw it at the side of the mountain and fly into the gap you've made to replenish levitation
Oh wow, I didn't even know you could go to the right side of the mountain lol. This game really is full of secrets. Thank you for the tip! Will definitely do that and train some. (I need it😂)
@@calpinadeActually, you also can go to the left side of the map, but it is much harder to get over the tree, than over the mountain (and there are much stronger enemies and better rewards here), Technically you can get over the tree without exiting the mines, there is a water labyrinth to the right of the collapsed mines, and, if you somehow get through it you will arrive in the Ancient laboratory, it also has a boss - Alchemist, who unlocks best spells in the game. Anyways, you can dig up from Ancient laboratory and will get to Frozen wasteland, which also has its own secrets and loot, but doesn't have any enemies, from here you can easily climb the tree, to see your in-game achievement progress, or go even further left to get to the Frozen vault - extremely buffed version of the Vault, then, their is an Island, and again, the "end" of the map
I was part of the beta from the 1st week. The game now is far less chaotic and death causing than it was back then. The midas draught was pretty easy to randomly come across.
You should do more Noita! The game gets really fun when you manage to assemble some setup that destroys everything. The other day I got a perk that makes most of the game’s limited cast spells unlimited, and then made a wand that could summon rocks, which are normally limited, but can be very powerful with their physics damage. After that I got perks that repelled projectiles from me, which caused the rocks to reach high speeds and one shot most enemies,, as well as serving as barriers. I could even build up a bunch of rocks and then move towards them, pushing them away and killing everything in their path. It would have been even better if I had gotten the Accelerative Homing spell, which would make the rocks aggressively chase down enemies, and build up speed as long as they exist, wiping out entire rooms with ease.
that was a wild attempt, and really enjoyable to hear. Ive attempted it over 150 times, won twice and never have i thought to try a stealth run. Thats something im going to have to attempt.
@calpinade Credit where credit's due though you made it way father than expected. Though I knew exactly what was going to happen as soon as you picked up the teleportation perk
Fun Fact: 100 runs of noita is literarily the bare minimum to get good at this game. You're lucky if you understand how the wand building mechanics work and found 1 or 2 major secrets like a boss or biome.
Pick up pheromone potion, spray on healers in Hiisii Base. If you don't find Tinker With Wands Everywhere, find a way to get out/get back in the Holy Mountain to edit your wands. Learn how trigger spells work; they can be very good for early game (and later too). And good luck ;)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! Well, since it seems like people really enjoyed to see me suffering I'm really thinking hard about doing another 100 runs.
Choosing Teleportitis over Stainless Armor in the final Holy Mountain just hurts to watch. Anyway, watching others suffer to Noita is cathartic for my own suffering at the hands of Noita.
Yeah, looking back at it this was a really dumb choice lol. Noita has all of us in his grasp and it will make us suffer for eternity. But I'm glad I could ease your pain for a brief moment🫡
Noita is a game of the pursuit of knowledge, even dying in the process is the highest tribute to the Gods. It's all about what spells you can make out of the most, maybe a trigger spell can work well with a chainsaw? Maybe a speed modifier can increase the speed of some really slow spells? Maybe this luminous drill can do something with a ping pong path? The sky is the limit, people have made wands that can dish out MILLIONS of damage, and it was achieved through hours of knowledge and patience. I hope you continue playing this game, even I myself have barely any wins with my 1000+ deaths, but the pursuit of knowledge is more thrilling than the end. As above, so below.
congrats you made it to the tutorial boss once :) no joke its actually a good achievemnt but theres so much more zones in the game then the main path If u like the game i reccomend playing it more. it gets very rewarding and its tons of fun to go from getting killed by anything to having thousands of health by abusing a certain enemy. im not gonna spoil to much but i want to give the tip on the way that helped me most. youve for sure encountered some pheromone right? seems pretty useless at first but if you spray some ontop of a healer that spawn from hisibase onward it will start healing you. also there is an enemy you dont expect that will give a lot of gold to you if you spray it with pheromone also Hämis👍
Yeah, with Noita being as hard and unforgiving as it is, I already figured that there are more (and harder) things to find besides the final boss 😅 But I can see it being very rewarding indeed. Oooh, thats a good tip thank you! I hardly ever used liquids besides extinguishing fire. I really need to experiment with them more. Edit: wait, whats up with the Hämis👍🏻 I googled it, and even in the official wiki theres that thumbs up😂
Noita is like breaking into kevin mcallisters house suffering through all his traps for hours only to find a baseball bat which you use to beat the crap out of him. Then while you're celebrating you step on a toy car slip and fall down 3 flights of stairs land right in front of his big brother skoude and the entire police force and die brutally
@@calpinade please experiment with that, its one of the main things of this game. you can make wands that basically erase continents and deal quardrillions of damage if you know what youre doing and have the right spells
The teleportation death, aswell as any other death is your own fault. You can not blame the game for being unfair, even if it seems like it at first. It has very straight forward rules and if you are of them you will notice that 99% of deaths are strictly you messing up. It‘s a hard pill to swallow sometimes, but Noita doesn‘t give you any excuses
"Im not going to look up any guides or wikis" Are you UTTERLY INSANE! the main path to beat Kolmi is like 5% of the actual game. Good luck finding the rest.
Yeah, what I learned from all the comments is that you get better the more you understand the game. And that there's a LOT more to do in the game than it seems at first...like...a LOT.
Funfact: 13:22 that's not actually true. All teleport effects, except unstable teleportatium, teleport you (if possible) always broadly in the direction your pointer is pointing at. In your case you looked straight up, while getting hit, so you teleported into the lava pool above you. Great video though! Edit: did you actually ever even build your own wand (changing the spells on your wand while being in the holy mointain)? I haven't really seen you mentioning it in the video, but it's the most essential part of noita. Way more so than the physics. If you cet above a certain skill level it unironically becomes a card deck building game. 2nd edit: I'm stoopid and just saw that you did in the end
Nice to know! Always thought it was random. Well, at least I now know that it was once more myself who killed me. I'm dumb too lol, I forgot to mention that in the script even though its an essential mechanic.
How do you only have 800 subs?!? Anyway if you decide to make more content experimenting with Noita lmk and I'll add a +1 to that number! It's fun watching you try to discover the game. Also a minor hint, the game is WAY bigger than you think... it's probably safe to say the path you went down is about 1/8 of the map.
Thanks for the kind words! :D I'm actually in the middle of my next 100 runs of Noita right now! And so far I explored a little bit more and discovered there's an actual overworld 😂 But first i'm focusing on defeating the boss before exploring more lol.
@@calpinade exploration can actually help a lot with beating the boss. If you want a minor hint: Try going to the sides of each biome when traveling downwards...
You can feel safety about watching guides about this game, there a ton of content what you will probably won’t even think exist. I can semi-spoiler some for you Every run there’s a random combination of 3 different material, combining witch, you will get liquid what heals you
Prior to some of the comments here I believed all there was to the overworld was this cave with the green stone tablet. But it seems I may have been wrong xD
@@calpinade you have no idea the extent of which, my friend. There is much, much more. It may take time to reach those heights or to break through those barriers, but with the right build, you'll see.. also, less spoiler-y, check to the left and right as you descend. Don't be afraid to dig a bit. The land holds many secrets and treasures. I'll start your search with the lava lake to the right of the first layer. Find a way to cross it and prepare yourself.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way. I will definitely think twice from now on before I pick up a teleport perk. xD
The teleportation is not random
Like normal teleportatium
It can even be practical for moving around
But you have to understand how it works
4:54 lava bee?, that's a firefly
Oh wow im dumb lol. Why didnt I think of that 😂
I thought of them as lava bees until now as well ^^
It's always fun to watch people play Noita wondering "Olay how do they lose the run?"
Took me a while but I should've realized Teleportitis would toss you into the lava on the final boss
Yeah, Teleportitis is pure evil😂
its kind of crazy watching someone almost beat the game without even editing their wands
If you do there’s a golden wand statue in the room you use the Sampo to beat the game.
The awesome thing about Noita is that defeating that boss is just 1% of the entire game. There is SOOOOOO much to be explored and do. If you've never played this game, you will most certainly underestimate how much you can explore
Yeah, i've already found out via some of the comments😂
i went into noita blind, just like you, and it's such a beautiful experience. you've captured it well!
Some call it beautiful, some call it masochistic😂
I really enjoyed it nonetheless
Haha, only a true masochist can enjoy this game
Yup, I was dumb and deserved the death lol
me watching this video:
- um actually this is not acid, that's toxic sludge
- uhm ackchyually, this is not poison, this is acid that you mislabeled before
Noita did something to my brain I swear
I guess everyone who has more than 5 hours in this game would notice that
Bro you deserve at least 100k subs this video is mad good
Thank you man!
Really glad you enjoyed the video 😁
"I just need to make sure I don't die by my own hands and I should be fine." Bwahahaha.
Biggest lie I ever told myself 😂
like other comments, getting to the main boss is absolutely nutty without ever having spoilers
I looked at all the spoilers i could understand and still got nowhere, then i watched dunkorslam do a few whole runs, and started to understand
I think with 0 outside help this game would legitimately take thousands of hours to learn completely, but tips here and there speed that up dramatically
even with a complete guide, it takes a lot of effort to get a win/god run going and most people get their first win at 80-120 hours of gameplay (lots and lots of deaths :P)
you got moves! post your first win if you keep playing it :)
So many of the so called perks are actually bad so I find Noita to be much more fun with a mod that lets you choose what perks are in the temples.
"Corpses explode BUT YOU ARE ALSO IMMUNE TO EXPLOSION DAMAGE" that one may have actually been amazing
You really should try going past the mountain to the right, you will eventually get to the desert, then the pyramid, and then the "end" of the map, you really need to get there and practice climbing it, that is the best way to learn where you can stand, and how truly big is your hitbox (if you want to, you can explore inside the pyramid and fight a second boss, that will unlock a couple spells for you for all the future runs)
I am saying all of that because there was a place to the right of you on what you actually could stand, but you , like all beginners didn't know it
Oh, just before I forget: you can climb the mountain immediately after spawning in, if you have the dynamite spell, just throw it at the side of the mountain and fly into the gap you've made to replenish levitation
Oh wow, I didn't even know you could go to the right side of the mountain lol. This game really is full of secrets. Thank you for the tip! Will definitely do that and train some. (I need it😂)
@@calpinadeActually, you also can go to the left side of the map, but it is much harder to get over the tree, than over the mountain (and there are much stronger enemies and better rewards here),
Technically you can get over the tree without exiting the mines, there is a water labyrinth to the right of the collapsed mines, and, if you somehow get through it you will arrive in the Ancient laboratory, it also has a boss - Alchemist, who unlocks best spells in the game.
@calpinade If you want to spoil yourself on how big the game actually is, look up a map. Yep a map is a spoiler!
Wtf, I got lost just reading this😂 seems like I only scratched the surface of the game🥲
I was part of the beta from the 1st week. The game now is far less chaotic and death causing than it was back then. The midas draught was pretty easy to randomly come across.
Wtf, now its LESS chaotic?😂
That was impressive! Thanks for posting. I’d watch more of your Noita content. It’s produced well!
Thank you!
I'm in the middle of doing my next 100 days of Noita right now so there will be more to come :)
It would have been even better if I had gotten the Accelerative Homing spell, which would make the rocks aggressively chase down enemies, and build up speed as long as they exist, wiping out entire rooms with ease.
lol that sounds great xD I had the summoning rock spell once but couldn't get them to move. So i just flew above enemies and dropped them.
that was a wild attempt, and really enjoyable to hear. Ive attempted it over 150 times, won twice and never have i thought to try a stealth run. Thats something im going to have to attempt.
Damn, beating the boss twice in 150 runs seems crazy good! Congrats!
You should edit ur wands in the holy mountains
I saw the title and said to my self "yeah i dont think hes even going to beat the first boss in this time"
And you were 100% right😂
@calpinade
Credit where credit's due though you made it way father than expected.
Trust me, 100 runs and I feel not much different than when I started lol. I think it takes way more to actually get good😂
Pick up pheromone potion, spray on healers in Hiisii Base.
If you don't find Tinker With Wands Everywhere, find a way to get out/get back in the Holy Mountain to edit your wands.
Learn how trigger spells work; they can be very good for early game (and later too).
And good luck ;)
I didn't see you edit wands one time. You did know you can edit spells on wands, right? :D
Haha yeah, i found that out after run 10 or so, but forgot to include it in the video^^
Noita definitely does have a day/night cycle. It’s just you’re rarely on the surface long enough to notice it
One of the best things about Noita is how weak you start compared to how godlike you can become.
bro how do you have less than 1k subs, insane, your content is god tier
Thank you for making this video, I enjoyed it a lot.
I'm happy you liked it!
machine leanrning more like human forgetting
you dumb asf
Well you got noitad
i tried not killing anything to get a chest once
it dropped a bomb
it was lit
Get Noita'd
as soon as he picked teleportitis his fate was sealed
Please play more of this. Great vid btw just found this channel will definitely be dropping a sub!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Well, since it seems like people really enjoyed to see me suffering I'm really thinking hard about doing another 100 runs.
@@calpinade Please do you have only just scratched the surface!
4:42 hurt my soul 💔
Edit 7:20 repaired my soul
Damn, 1000+ runs? Thats metal. But I agree, tinkering with wands is great!
As soon as he said said every day is an attempt I knew this would be short
congrats you made it to the tutorial boss once :) no joke its actually a good achievemnt but theres so much more zones in the game then the main path
If u like the game i reccomend playing it more. it gets very rewarding and its tons of fun to go from getting killed by anything to having thousands of health by abusing a certain enemy. im not gonna spoil to much but i want to give the tip on the way that helped me most.
youve for sure encountered some pheromone right? seems pretty useless at first but if you spray some ontop of a healer that spawn from hisibase onward it will start healing you.
also there is an enemy you dont expect that will give a lot of gold to you if you spray it with pheromone
also
Hämis👍
Yeah, with Noita being as hard and unforgiving as it is, I already figured that there are more (and harder) things to find besides the final boss 😅 But I can see it being very rewarding indeed.
Oooh, thats a good tip thank you! I hardly ever used liquids besides extinguishing fire. I really need to experiment with them more.
Edit: wait, whats up with the Hämis👍🏻
I googled it, and even in the official wiki theres that thumbs up😂
That exact same video from albino was the one that got me hooked on Noita as well. what a coincidence haha!
It's a super funny video 😂
Noita is like breaking into kevin mcallisters house suffering through all his traps for hours only to find a baseball bat which you use to beat the crap out of him. Then while you're celebrating you step on a toy car slip and fall down 3 flights of stairs land right in front of his big brother skoude and the entire police force and die brutally
Hahahaha why is this so accurate😂😂😂
Glad to see you had no idea you can move spells in the shop area, coz i didnt knew that for like 30 games
Haha yeah, I figured it out a good few runs in but then i was too afraid to tinker much because i was afraid of blowing myself up😂
@@calpinade please experiment with that, its one of the main things of this game.
you can make wands that basically erase continents and deal quardrillions of damage if you know what youre doing and have the right spells
Love just how many people found out about Noita through albino
"Im not going to look up any guides or wikis" Are you UTTERLY INSANE! the main path to beat Kolmi is like 5% of the actual game. Good luck finding the rest.
Oh, I can't wait till you learn how to start doing consistent 'God Runs'.
Here's a tip, explore and gain knowledge.
Yeah, what I learned from all the comments is that you get better the more you understand the game. And that there's a LOT more to do in the game than it seems at first...like...a LOT.
It would be great to watch a 300 days of Noita
I will do another 100👍🏻 But it will take a little bit since i'm working on another video atm.
fun fact you can direct teleportitis with your mouse
I'm actually in the middle of my next 100 runs of Noita right now!
And so far I explored a little bit more and discovered there's an actual overworld 😂
But first i'm focusing on defeating the boss before exploring more lol.
@@calpinade exploration can actually help a lot with beating the boss. If you want a minor hint:
Try going to the sides of each biome when traveling downwards...
"Oppenheimering myself!" :D
I won on my third ever run because I mangaged to create a sort of lazer machine gun wand that destroyed walls and killed enemies in seconds.
i can't believe ceave gaming played noita
That 'final boss' is in fact just the "end of tutorial" boss.
I'm afraid of what awaits me after him.
(If I ever manage to beat him that is😂)
I'm glad you tried it
I am too. It certainly was an experience.
Taking revenge tentacle instead of concentrated spell is painful...
This entire experience was
You can feel safety about watching guides about this game, there a ton of content what you will probably won’t even think exist. I can semi-spoiler some for you
Every run there’s a random combination of 3 different material, combining witch, you will get liquid what heals you
For me once it was blood, water and oil, it was cool until I got to the Alchemist and him 2 hitting me
@@Exterminimum735 i firstly discovered it with coal toxic sludge and smt else. Procced to die in next stage ))
For real? I should really use the liquids more. I basically just used them to extinguish fires lol.
7:59 the only time i got a pacifist chest it had a bomb inside ._.
I like to record my daily run everyday.
you should play caves of qud you will suffer
Now let's see you explore the overworld.... or the [spoiler]
Did you realize in these 100 runs that you can edit your wands?
Haha yes, but I frogtot to mention it in the video.
Also I havent done it that much because i was afraid of blowing myself up😂
I was sorta expecting you to go over each run, but then I noticed the video was 15 minutes long
Yeah, i had to cut out a lot of boring runs where I basically just died because of some dumb shit😂
> Talks of his experience with other roguelite games
> Proceeds to pick all the perks that trigger upon taking damage or that teleport you around which are never good in any game ever
Bruh
How did you get that many plays in without figuring out that water get rid of your stains. I mean i shouldnt be talking cause your still better than me
Taking teleportis perks...
You brave fool. You don't even know what you did do you?
Well I found out on the most important run of my Noita career😂
I might be to old but I can't stand rogue likes. The sense of wasted time is unbearable, so the pressure to not die when you know you have a good build difficult to come across again.
Very good video and sorry for my spelling, my native language is not really english
Thank very much!
And no worries my native language isn't english either 😂
noita moments
Everyone is confident until he gets noita'd
MORE NOITA CONTENT!
Noita does have a day/night cycle, it doesnt do much though
Edit: 200 days?
Really? Well I never was in the overworld for this long😂
Yeah will do 200 days. But might take some time since I'm working on another video atm.
I only made it to the 2nd sage before uninstaling
I dont blame you
Cant blame ya, Noita definitely isnt for most ppl. The difficulty is enough on its own to turn ppl away but add in the insane complexity and the terrible explanations the game never gives you and its a recipe for a dead game, im honestly suprised it survived its infancy long enough to become what it is today, we owe it all to the ppl who stuck it thru and learned how to love the game, without them Nolla would have likely dropped the game and moved on to something else
yea roguelike mentally-ill master race!
Truer words have never been spoken
WHY DID BRO NEVER EDITED HIS WANDS????
Always teleportitis
It got me multiple times. I always think its cool and useful. then it kills me.
I wish I had Noita. Looks fun!
It really is! : D
And it's 50% off for the spring sale rn.
Sonic ahh intro
Please tell me you at least learned that you can, in fact, edit the spells on the wands
Haha, yeah luckily I figured that one out pretty quickly😂
Its like as noob you wish you could see more than 3 floors and then ur pro and just sittint there with 100m dps wand in new game++++ wondering what to do
Im just happy i got to the boss somehow😂😂
@@calpinade man i can give you huge tip that made this game 100x times easier for me
just watch dunkorslam guide about note spell then watch video from furyfoged about ways to get note spell and on every ocasion you have
you should get and make good wand using add trigger and notes
Albino touched you with his Noita too?
He smeared his noita all over me
Hurts so good 😆@@calpinade
campfire?
Well theres a campfire the first time you start a run (at about 1:18 in the video)
And I didnt pay attention that its gone in the later runs😅
