Hello and I apologise for the late reply! The gearbox in a Hummer H3 and a BMW with a ZF gearbox represent distinct engineering approaches tailored to the respective characteristics of each vehicle. -The Hummer H3 typically features a heavy-duty automatic transmission suitable for off-road capabilities such as the Hydra-Matic 4L60 or 4L70. -BMWs are usually equipped with ZF gearboxes often use advanced automatic transmissions, such as the ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. These transmissions are designed for a balance of performance, efficiency, and smooth operation. -The Hummer H3 might have a transmission with fewer gears, possibly a 4-speed or 6-speed, depending on the model year. -BMWs with ZF gearboxes commonly feature 8-speed transmissions, allowing for a wider gear ratio spread. This contributes to improved fuel efficiency and performance. -Off-road-oriented transmissions in the Hummer H3 may prioritize torque and durability over rapid gear changes. -ZF transmissions in BMWs are renowned for their quick and smooth gear changes, enhancing both. The choice between these two depends on the each driver's preferences, driving environment, and intended usage, with each gearbox delivering a different driving experience.
@@MateiAvram sorry but...a hummer H3 use 1 liter on 9 kilometer on the highway , we here in the Netherlands have a max speed on the highway from 100km/h and when you drive a Hummer H3 3.7 at a max speed of 100km/h then it use about 1 liter on 9 km ,,,ofcourse in the city it uses more
@@pieterwisniewski2539 Thank you for your comment! This is really informative! The information I provided in the comment above was taken from multiple sources such as magazines and forums. I personally do not own a Hummer, so I cannot say from my own experience what the real fuel consumption is... Anyways, thank you again for the information!
Weird comments aside, how reliable would u say the h3 is? If I were to buy one with a higher mileage, around 140-150,000 miles, would that be a wise investment? Or would the car begin to own me?
@@charlierobinson7119 That's actually a great question! Hummers are built for rough weather and conditions. However, you need to be very careful when you look to buy a used one (especially at higher mileage). The ones made in 2006 are known to be more problematic, so I would not look for an early model. As long as you find one in excellent condition, you will be more likely to get a good car. At 140-150,000 miles, the previous owner should have sorted any issues with the car, but be aware that it's a used car so you never know. :/ If you find one in great shape and you know the detailed history of the car (the issues the car had and what was replaced, oil changes and so on..) you should be fine. If you get one, take care of it and try to keep in a good condition. Hummers can easily go up to 300,000 miles, so it's a matter of doing a good job of finding the right car and taking care of it. I hope that answers your question!
Thanks for filming this!! always loved the unique styling of the hummers.
Of course! Thanks for the kind words!
Handles pretty good.
For sure it does. It’s a very solid car!
love this car
Great review! Keep it up! Maybe you can review the new GMC Hummer EV
I will definitely consider that! Hopefully in the near future!
Отличный автомобиль!
I agree. It's a really great car!
Hello I would like to buy one of those, is the geraborx slow, I have a bmw with Zf 8 automatic, and I’m a bit afraid of the slowness of change gear.

:D how much gas does this car use ?
Well, it depends on your driving style, but usually, the 3.7L takes between 15/19 miles per gallon (12-15 liters per km)

Does sunroof open all the way
Yes, it does! I opened only a bit otherwise it would be too loud for the camera, buy yes, it opens all the way.
Why is the turn signal so slow... lol
It doesn't seem to have any issues. It's perfectly normal. Does it really look slow to you?
Not an issue just an observation I made lol. Compared to every over turn signal I’ve seen, this one has a weirdly slow ticking 🤷♂️

@@MateiAvram Good to know. I was looking at these awhile ago along with the Jeep Wranglers. Hummers always just seemed suspiciously cheap to me
Off road man🙄🙈😂
Maybe in a future video 😂
Do they make the engine sound raggely on purpose? I guess ppl that want Hummers like that industrial type noise? 😄
No, it’s definitely not on purpose. That’s how the engine normally sounds. But I guess that industrial sound fits the image of the Hummer.
