It's no surprise that Kelly Slater takes swing inspiration from "Pipeline Moe". Moe" Norman was a Canadian professional golfer whose accuracy and ability to hit shot after shot perfectly straight gave him the nickname.

I did the Moe single plane swing for a couple of seasons and got pretty good with it. It also saved my back. Unfortunately, it put too much pressure on my hips and hamstrings. My hips would get very tight from practicing, and I would continually pull my upper hamstrings (usually with driver) so just had to give it up.
