Congrats on 2k dude! 🎉 All those small wins will start to accumulate and add up to a larger win like this one! Stoked for you! Interesting to hear your perspective on VESC. As a fellow vesc noob, I’d love to hear more from you as you continue to experience your vesc journey. I feel so incompetent when it comes to the tech and electronics. It’s a big fear of mine; if something were to go wrong with my board, I’d only have a vague idea of how to diagnosis the problem. The GT-S is pretty darn powerful. That’s my current board and I certainly don’t mind the exchange of range for power. I have definitely leveled up with that board. - Hopefully you’re able to get your GTV off the operating table ASAP!
Thanks, both sides can be just as fun aaaaaand just as frustrating... To me, as long as I get to ride and see others enjoy their ride, that's all that matters.
Gratz ok 2k. I share your thoughts on the GTS Versus GTV comparison. It's super close, but GTV has my heart as well. I'm trying to figure out a way to present my VESC transition and what comparisons to make in a video.
Thanks! Yea, it's a touchy subject, but I do try to remind myself then VESC riders are in the minority. We are willing to go through the extra effort and learn or spend the money on a shop to set a custom build for us. Like with bike riders, there are way more casuals that don't want to tinker and risk messing things up. Instead, they just want to enjoy the ride. And honestly, there is nothing wrong with that.
Add a sliver of teflon tape to ALL screws threads everytime. It isolates vibrations and does not make it difficult to remove screws later. Plus its an insulator so has zero effect in contact with a live trace
Heck yea!!! It's incredible what the v kits can do. Still loving my px-v more than literally any other board I've ever had. And as of yesterday, Im building a 'from the ground up' VEXR! (well I should say I've got a guy who's doing the actual build but yea! ordered damn near all the parts yesterday and I am incredibly excited! Hoping your GT-V is back up and running quickly! And you're damn right; there's a lot of really great people in the VESC world who are an amazing help. FOMF!
Sweet! Yea, I priced out what upgrades I'd want for the old XR, but it's more then I can afford at the moment...I'll have to keep it as my sleeper board until then. 😉
Thanks!! I did shoot with a new camera and lens on this one, and only after I recorded and started the edit did I notice some weird "jumping" when focus shifted. But ya, I did my best to mask most of it! 😅
@@ThatsGinterEVI have an ADV2 on order. Should be here within a month or less. Also plan to get the Fungineers Funwheel X7. Seem to be the best two boards on the market right now, especially for the price point around $2200.
They aren't actually Flight Fins, they are solid 3D printed pieces from 3DWay. But they do appear similar. I originally got them for the rear hook to assist with failed curb nudges, but they didn't fit my GT WTF rails so I had to stop using them. Also...I don't fail my curb nudges as much anymore 😛
Ya know, the first time I rode other people's VESC boards, I wasn't sold. It didn't have the same "magic" FM had in their boards. Even with the default GT-V tune, it was a little too "tight" for my liking. But I tried out a few tunes, and even had local friends help me dial it in, and yea...my GT-V feels just right. Just keep in mind, everyone's preferences are different. I've always preferred the chill flow feeling of Mission on XR, or Flow on GT, but I know there are some who prefer aggressive profiles like Apex. Finding your vibe can take a bit, but with the VESC setup, as long as it delivers on the power you need, you can tune it to meet your exact ride feel.
@@ThatsGinterEV The "chill flow feeling" only exists because of the lack of power. I rode with this setting for thousands of miles, but once you get used to more acceleration (>63V, >N42 magnets), you really want a tighter ride. With the Mission setting, you’d end up slamming the board into the ground instead of braking or accelerating properly.
Dude you could’ve bought a Funwheel X7 for $2200!! It would’ve outperformed this board and provided a better ride because it’s on the XR platform with a 6 inch hub.
@ Seems to be an awesome board! I was referring to you buying the GTS. I would’ve bought a Floatwheel or Funwheel instead even at that price because the GTS is already way overpriced. It realistically a $2k board and still can’t match either of the boards I mentioned.
That intro was sick! VESC really is an addictive ride, the extra power is blessed. Definitely has a hefty learning curve though
Long Live Mikey!!
Another excellent vid ⚡🤙
Nice dude! Congrats on hitting 2k! I've been thinking about turning my GT into a GTV too.
Ty Shannon!
Great video as always. Great to see you embracing both OW and Vesc. Congrats on the new milestone!
Thanks Nick!! 🤙🏼

Thanks! I think a lot of people are in the same situation. And yes, can't wait to get the GT-V up and running again!
Would love a video covering the XRV and its capabilities! Ive been eyeing vesc solutions for my XR for a few months now
I plan to VESC my GT or Pint X if they break. Hope to see a video of your install!
Let's go, Ginter! I'm happy to see you post a vesc video! If you need help with your xr kit, you know where I'm at!
thanks man, you have been an inspiration to starting!
Another great video Mr. Ginter ✊ Congratulations on the subscriber count. And everyone loves Mikey
Thx Jay! 🧡
You are going to love the XRV kit!
Yea...I've had it sitting on my work table for a month now... the anticipation is killing me lol.

Thx! It's scary but fun!

Great editing on this one

Pass on the GTS too, the new floatwheel however…. Now that’s gonna be an insane board.
Yea, I'm curious how much crazier it will be!

Tell me more about the RGB module!!!
I will! Still need to get it all working lol. 😂
How do you like the flight fin minis? I just recently copped my first set and am pleasantly surprised!

Does the VESC ride feel better than FM?

@@ThatsGinterEV yeah I get what you mean! My only true concern is the VESC software having a bug and causing a nose dive. Any issues with that?
