Particle Tracing for Residence Time Distribution (RTD) in a Stirred Tank Reactor

  • A pulse injection (1 second) of 10000 inert particle tracers is injected into the reactor from top inlet and the concentration of particles at the outlet is measured to obtain RTD.
    The simulation was performed by OpenFOAM, and the visualization by ParaView.

    Hi Hamid, thanks for uploading the video. Quite useful to understand parcel tracing in openFoam. Can you further elaborate the method in detail to measure RTD from the generated data ? Or If you have you uploaded this procedure anywhere, please share the link.
