Ok guys let's go over how this tool really works and how this can help you guys as well. I'm having to reset codes every time I stop and this is how I do it. NOT PAID ADVERTISEMENT. This is Not a commercial just something that I think a lot of owner operators can benefit from.

This same problem with the same truck costed me over $15000 in towing repairs hotels ect so I wish I had that tool I’ll be getting one for sure

If you got a cummins motor do yourself the favor and buy the diesel tech software directly from them and install it on a laptop. You can have all the same access that technicians have and do proper diagnostic. I have a 2017 Volvo with a D13 and the first thing I did when I bought that truck was by the premium techtool software from Volvo directly. It cost me $2.8k for everything but has saved me well over that. Did my own injector test, took myself out of derate, reprogrammed new sensors when installed, and so much more. If you're an owner operator I think it's mandatory that you should have that software. I'll be buying the cummins software once my w990 is finished being built
I'm a company driver. I actually went and purchased the freightliner software. It's cheap and I can turn of bendix radar and edit speed. Best $299 I've ever spent

Forced regen usually clears everything long enough to get to shop
Had the old style that saved my ass with my cummins and have my new truck with a paccar engine coming around Christmas. I have the new style now and definitely recommend it over the old one and everything I'm hearing the upgraded 2021 paccar engine shouldn't need it. New engine is supposed to be good to go
I start to like OTR maybe I will get one for myself too.

DPF needs to be clean every 250,000 miles.
The scan tool is great.
If you keep clearing the code, that DPF will cost you 10k just in case someone is thinking to buy it and thinks they can clear it all the time.
Trucks trying to tell you. I need work done, it's not a scam .
If you replace 1 knox sensor, need to replace the 2nd one. Inner and outer. Trust me. 6 months later u be back to replace the other

Does your otr scan tool still work? Mine quit connecting to the Bluetooth and I had to trade it in for the one that's just a reset/regen only tool.
As far as I know it’s still working.. I used it a couple of times last week..

Is it worth getting this scan tool for a deleted truck with a Detroit diesel?
Probably not because most of the things it does is for the def system. It does monitor and diagnose other things but you would probably be better with a cheaper scanner. Just my honest opinion..

Don't waste your money with cleaning. Go to a shop that swaps them out.
Does the device work if you are in an area with no cell signal? Like once you've activated/verified your license are you good until expiration or does it need to do a check every time you run it?
I’ve used it in rural areas and it’s worked for me.
@@ATruckersLife ahh yes I see it on their website. Can use it up to 14 days since your last session if you are in an area with zero signal. Just gotta remember to open the app at least every couple of weeks.
