man if NVIDIA got this back in 2014 would been great because i got induct to steam by my friend in 2012 but my hardware was so bad only one pc i had i at least could play on was intel core 2 duo and ati radian 2600xt windows xp then upgrade to win 7 then i got hp crap one cuz i couldnt afford one but then in 2018 or 19 is when i heard of shadow cloud pc and geforce now and now both is fucking awesome just wish it came so much sooner 😄
At 2:15 are you playing league of legends/wild rift with a controller?
I despise geforce now, at first it was pretty great to get and the expereince to use for all of a sudden it started giving me frame drops and immense lag even though my wifi is not bad by any means, ive just done everything i could and nothing worked so i give up and im just gonna build my pc so i can play the games i want and not deal with bs wait times
How about test Gforce now using cellular data? Is it still playable?
Hand held is a real thing bud . Stop over complicating things
It's now has 100 hrs limit lol🥲
The quality is of pixels is not as good.
I'm at 5:00 and just to add to it. You'll need at minimum still, a case, keyboard, monitor, and possibly desk/chair. All these things gonna be terrible at low price point, if you don't already have them. But on the flip side if you have a monitor/tv, keyboard, and mouse. You spend less even getting the 200$ nvidia shield, a controller, and some games. That's overkill too we all know you don't even need to spend that 200$ so you got even more budget to buy some games and let Nvidia deal with the depreciating hardware. Right now, GFN with the games you want to play is a better deal than a budget build. Hell, buy a used steam deck from steam at 320, you still got 160~ from that budget for some games. Let's take MH Wild too, I'm not spending 2-3k to play that game. I'm gonna let it come out on GFN and stream it to the Steam Deck at 800p Max settings and might get away with it at the 10$ tier. I just found out today that some games even supports mods so bout to jump into that. I'm coming from 3080 from 2 years ago, I think I spent 4k in total. Sold for 1000$ this year, so let's say I'm out 3k. I could've just got GFN ult for the next 12.5 years. I'm on your side of the logic it's the future, we'll have thin clients and then stream the games to them.
the thing that transformed my gaming is switching to amd (at least for now ), currently using a 6900xt. I am also using a 5800x3d CPU. With prices of GPU'S, slow down in game graphic advancements, and the poor quality of new games coming out, I plan on sticking with this setup for awhile. There are many games I have not played yet that this setup will work with really good.
who cares about minimalistic IOS users, the majority are in Android.
With my budget laptop I can't even afford new AAA games and I don't have them. With GeForce now I can try some new games - for me sounds awesome.
2024 - people in USA, Europe have issues with internet connection.
And can't afford good PC.
i literaly only need tv lmao
Never go digital ever
No its not lol physical will always win.
Yes I agree after buying it when you going to upgrade your can just the old sell one
@@vijayaditiya3004 physical and crack is always number 1. Digital will die soon, steam gave the last hit this month lol its over GOG for the win and physical WP :D
My problem is 20 dollar per month for 4k streaming, if 4k steaming is only 10 dollar, that makes more sense, it is getting close enough to the pc depreciation
Bro I'm using a 2014 i5 acer laptop with 4g ram on the gforce browser and the game play i got from warzone is better than when I use my xbox one console so just imagine if I upgrade it from 4g to an 8 gig ram with a 1 TB drive memory
I haven't started the video yet, but I'm going to ask the question: how's the input latency?
@@maxpanicked1451 not bad! Check out 14:35
It's amazing.. Despite.having a 4090 I keep going back to. It as the room is not a heater with 14900k
The problem with geforce now, if your net goes down you can't play games. And this is why I won't be relying on it. If I am absolutely desperate in future to play a game I can't run, I may try it just to play that one game. But it will never take over a proper gaming PC for me
shiiiit, it definitely has for me. You need a connection ANYWAY to even get to your games. Well, you at least need it for updates, and most of us stay connected wether its an online game or not. soooo..
subscription everything is kinda the big reason NOT to use it.
if u subsribe for rtx 4080 for 2 years for that subscription money u still couldnt buy only 4080 for that money in that time they would get something like 5080 if u have very good internet its great place to play games
@@splasherrrr Generally I use a graphics card more than 2 years though. But enjoy getting kicked out if you used more than 100 hours.
The £20 per month 4K stream makes a lot more sense than the cheaper £10 1080p stream. The cheaper one is £120 a year, and a series S is £250. So after two years you could have just bought a series S. Both are 1080p gaming. Arguably for 3 years of the £20 service, you can pretty much have a PS5 Pro. Its not that its bad, its that its about 25% more expensive than it needs to be to make financial sense.
Bro the ps5 isnt going to be 4k
In 3 years there will be PS6
@ericrivera8275 perhaps but you still have a ps5 pro to sell when the ps6 comes along. Though I think that will either be a handheld or it's own streaming box
@@bogstandardash3751 yes but ultimate tier equivalent rig would set you back over £2000, there is no console that can compete, even the ps5 pro which has 16Tflop GPU is less than 30% the power of GFN 4080, ot even mentioning FG & DLSS
Yes doing the math, it does make a lot of sense for PC. Might be a good idea to pair it with a new gen Rog ally when it comes out, which means you can have top spec pc gaming when you want to doc, for £240 a year!
I said nice and simple.
Very nice simple
Nice living room bro
Yeah I got GeforceNow Ultimate just to play Starfield. I finished it on Very Hard and even turned on frame generation. It was not as smooth as a local machine but still it was alright, felt like 60 fps, not 120 fps.
Gforce now $20 sub $240 a year and xbox pc game pass $20 sub another $240 a year thats $480 thats cheaper then the next gen consoles this mite be the future of gaming.
GFN is $99 for 6 months if you buy up front. I recommend testing it out for one month at full price for $20 and if you aren't having server connection or other network issues, def grab the 6 months option instead for a $40 annual discount.
you might be stupid. thats 500 a year constantly vs a one time purchase of 500 or less and gaming for many years
480$ for 1 year. That’s not cheaper.
U are literally the person they want to milk and I hope they don’t take us down with u .Pc is freedom and u are agreeing to be cornered and milked for money bec u can’t buy hardware on ur own time . Gaming is a working man’s hobby . If u literally do not have the time or the money u need to think about life and just get a console
@@hvdiv17 500 dollar console once or 500 per year. Think
You didn’t mention BOOSTEROID which with its recent 4K server upgrades is now really challenging GFN. Which is great for us consumers. Biggest knock on GFN is the limited library and this is where BOOSTEROID comes in hardcore Games like NBA 2K25 (GFN seems to think sports don’t matter) EA FC 25 (soccer) Helldivers 2 Spider Man Hogwarts Legacy Edition Gotham Knights Injustice 2 Suicide Squad No WB games
Nah will always prefer to own my hardware. Gonna be the same as with the various other steaming services as they increase these rates as soon as thy reached a certain marketshare
possibly. but they have only had one price increase since 2017 and have maintained a free tier so until they change it otherwise i support the current business model and pricing
You have not tried for sure then
Amazing content 👏🏼 keep up the good work
I love Geforce now but the games I want to play are not available for Geforce.
boosteroid
Down cracked version
Just got geforce now yesterday 🤯 Amazing! Connected it to my OLED 4k and getting 80-90fps on cyberpunk and 60-70fps in Wukong with maxed out settings. Less input lag than playing on my xbox in my living room and no frame drops. I’m sure I could make some minor tweaks and easily get 120 frames. Even played some overwatch just to check the ping and was doing fine (i do have solid internet, so this may be an issue if you don’t). Zero need to upgrade the laptop now. Amazing game experience. Try it for one month for $20! You’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.
Set it to 1440p in game settings DLSS quality with enhanced upscaling (in geforce settings) and will easily get 100-120fps, for me as long as base fps is 60fps before enabling FG then its all good 👍
@dustinthewind8620 sadly GeFprce now only goes up to 60FPS when using the app on OLED TVs and no HDR I’m using Samsung OLED tv. It’s still awesome… and just a heads up if you want HDR (like me) you can only get it by buying the NVIDIA Shield TV for $199.
is your xbox broken? how can it have more input lag if the signal doesnt need to go through the whole internet
Because I get 8ms latency with GFN, with machine latency on their end so low, especially with nvidia reflex, take CoD MW3 I have 8ms Internet latency, 2ms VM-server latency and about 15- 20ms machine latency, vs xbox series x has between 60 and 90ms machine latency+input lag, I play so much better using GFN, as long as you don't use frame gen, I use extreme settings 4K with dlss set to quality I get 120fps stable, when I played campaign single player with frame gen and extreme settings was able to run it 4K DLAA 120fps, the key for me is my 7-10ms server latency, couldn't return to series x after playing like this 😊
Just to clarify, when I react to an image on the Xbox, how many milliseconds later does my crosshair move?
Been playing on an iphone se 3 lately with touch controls, it's a disaster but it's like playing games locally + no heating issues while playing. Will definitely use controller soon.
I’m on Xbox at the moment. As I travel a lot for work I’m thinking of getting an rog ally x and then use GeForce now and boosteroid when I’m home. Only bit I’m not sure about is how it works through the ally or through a Mac book air to my tv.
Gforce is great and its getting better. Specially since I tuned the bandwidth the app is using to the max (around 80 mbs when its usually around 25 ). Well, granted the data center is pretty close to me - around 120 km , so Im lucky in that regard too. The only problem is that you cant just play any games you own, but only the games you both own and the service have, So no elden ring for now..but there is boosteroid for that ;)
Did you add the cost of having to buy the pc or notebook to actually run geforce now? I know it doesn't use alot of resources but it's still a cost that will decrease the months you can play for. I get the argument and i use gfn myself but i already have the hardware. But advice for someone starting out you could use that money and get at least a mid tier pc and when it starts struggling then switch over. Also some people would need to buy multiple services because the game they might want to play is only available on other platforms such as boosteroid or xbox cloud so theres those costs as well.
That’s a really good point. Should definitely consider there’s still a cost to purchase a machine to run GeForce Now at all. I guess maybe we could consider that sometimes people will already have these things organically whether for work or school but also something’s like smart tvs and consoles can run the app. But you’re right overall, there is still a cost to entry.
you don't need to own a PC??
no
You need insanely fast internet and even then, you cannot match the latency compared to native rendering. If you are the type of person who doesn't notice latency, sure, but I've tried it befoer and I feel like this type of gaming is simply for casuals who can't even tell the difference between 60hz and 144hz monitors lol.
It depends how far the data center is. The closest to me is about 120 km and the latency is 3 ms. Human reaction time is 250 ms. You can do the math lol. And it gives me the opportunity to play on 4080 instead of some potato that runs hot on medium setting hahaha.
@@alexforce9 I mean yeah. Rhe reaction time face is true, but you still notice the input lag, with your eyes, trough that you feel it with your movment (30+ms ping). The reaction from eyes to brain to hand movment is 250ms add the 30+ ping to it and it is easy to notice. Dont get me wrong, I love GeForce Now. I get 7-9ms ping in my locatio. If i dont concentrate on the input lag i dont notice it, and im pretty sure the noticingi itself is mostly placebo.
@@fufu1405 nvidia reflex definitely mitigates this, I am used to playing 120fps on a local machine (cod on xbox series x) and I maintain my input lag, and general performance in a match is far superior on GFN, it showed the server latency of everyone in my lobby, where most were about 10-20ms, mine was just 2ms, obviously have to add my 8ms server latency (to GFN data centre) but this is still just 10ms latency
@@Jamie-z3u That's great to hear, but you're comparing console to PC and PC will always win. I'm trying to say that if I already am on PC, I will 100% have increased input lag. But I'm glad this exists for people who don't have a PC.
@fufu1405 absolutely, I was comparing console to GFN, a native 4080 would obviously outperform GFN ultimate, but it also costs silly money to build an equivalent PC, you are liable if it breaks, and it does not automatically upgrade when next gen comes out, the 50 series will be out in months, a few months after that nvidia will roll out GFN 5080, like they did with 3080-4080, GFN is not perfect, I hate the compression artifacts and sometimes blurry vegetation in some games, as adults I think we can agree this is not black and white, there are grey areas for both points of view, for me the fact I can play cyberpunk on highest settings, RT psycho at 120fps with DLSS 3.7 on performance, or I can play witcher 3 maxed out DLSS Quality 90fps, Ghost recon breakpoint, ultimate preset 4K native 100fps, CoD MW3 dlss quality, extreme settings, FG off at 120fps, and so many more game that I love for £20 a month, if they doubled the price I will still pay, because value for money is 100% there for me... I get it is different for others, depending on their tastes in games, even their hardware to run GFN and especially their Internet stability, I do hate those compression artifacts soo much ut it is a price I am willing to pay 😊
The problem isd people are stupid and cannot see any perspective past their own. I understood your points less then halfway through the first video. People are sooo stuck into their tribalism nonsense that created the console wars so they hate anyone who does not play monkey and do exactly as they do.
I have used GeForce now for like 8 years. Well before release. Love it. I use Macs exclusively now and have not looked back. Looks way better on my MacBook Pro 16” than any of my buddies gaming PCs. And mine is dead silent and still lasts like 8 hours gaming unplugged lol.
@@1TechCritic I agree. The games look so fantastic when I play on my M2 Air. Plus it is SO much more portable than any gaming Laptop out there
Welcome to the club fellow cloud gaming brother
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
Geforce now in terms of gaming slangs on the internet is a subrace of the pc master race If your understand the joke?
Welcome to the cloud gaming club brother Btw have you tried boosteroid too? For Gta like third person games It does it just fine However it inferior with fps fast person games Geforce now is superior with fps fast paced games like fortnite cs2 warzone And i too like its simple that it only require stable connection not necessary fast rather stable connection it requires
Does anyone have the problem when you test your internet and it says you have 50 bandwidth but you still lag and stutter in game ? How do you fix it ?
this can depend on several things. A common one is if you are utilizing WiFi make sure you are on the 5gHz band and not a 2.4 ghz band. sometimes that can cause problems. Another is checking how close you are to an Nvidia Datacenter. Sometimes distance can cause problems.
Use ethernet cable is a must, need to have the max bandwidth you set and factor in other devices using up bandwidth, other people on network streaming TV etc
@@RyanManleyLive even 5Ghz is not always stable enough, 6GHz maybe, for me it has to be a hardline, I switched to ethernet, had to run cable from front downstairs house to back upstairs, took a few hours now my network stability is rock solid 👍
To play a game on gfroce do you have to have bought the game first
Yeah, so you buy the game on steam, Xbox, epic game store, Ubisoft, or GOG and then you connect your accounts to GeForce NOW and you play the games you own. If you have Xbox Game Pass you can also access all of those games when you connect your account
@@RyanManleyLive got it thanks for replying
yo dont need to have a computer??
@@TheLatinlover9574just an internet connection. You also need the game.
I've been thinking about GeForce Now. I just updated my pc from an intel i7 6700k 16gb ram with a GTX 1080 to a Ryzen 7 5800x3d, 32 GB ram@ 4000MT/s on an ASUS B550 Tuf Gaming WIFI 2 motherboard and a RTX 4080 super and that was such a $$$$$ drop. I can't imagine what it will cost to rebuild this PC in the next couple of years. That is the reason I would look into GeForce Now!!!! Thanks for the video!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!!
You won't have to upgrade for a veeeery long time. You didn't have to get a 4080 super, a 4070 super would have been plenty.
with gforce now and the $20 sub your renting a $2000 pc for only $240 a year even in 3 years it would still be cheaper then what you got and gforce now mite upgrade to the rtx 5080 in a few years you can even get xbox pc game pass on gforce now. gforce now $20 sub and xbox pc game pass $20 sub thats $480 a year 3 years of that is still cheaper then a $2000 pc.
Great video

Nailed the arguments. I was a pc master race. We had to adapt the house for my disabled daughter and this meant losing the space for my PC. Cloud gaming was the best option for me. Streamed to a £80 tablet with a £20 stretch controller and occassionally to an LG tv. I get a top tier PC streamed to me and ongoing upgrades keeping me at that tip tier. The 5 years of geforcenow if bought when sales is less than the cost of a top gpu. Although I use boosteroid presently as wanted to play the sony titles gfn dorsnt have. I cant play every single game but tbh as a dad of 4 one as aforementioned seriously disabled then i only really play single player AAAs for maybes an hour a day if im lucky and often thats sat in the school car park 20 miles from home cloud gaming on 5G on my phone. Cloud gaming just makes 100% sense for me and many many others and I honestly can never see me returning to traditional gaming. End of the day game as you want to, no matter the method, the green v blue, old game emulation. Just enjoy your hobby.
Wow Ben! Amazing to hear how this works so well for you. I can’t begin to tell you how much the Dad gaming and grabbing a few minutes while waiting in school car line resonates with me.
