The infernal master is a monster with the enhancement. Having 2 mortals guarteed is really good and if you spike hard with him he can do some crasy damage
I definatly think he is better than a sorcerer, he is both cheaper and lethal hits are worse than sustained hits if you are fishing for mortals. I think you should try to play him in a game if you are running him instead of a sorcerer. 4+ invols are good and all but what thousand sons are really good at is doing damage and leaning into the damage dealing aspect of the thousand sons instead of defensive profiles i think is better overall. Most armies in the game have gone down in ap and cover is very easy to get so your gonna have a 4+ against quite alot of shooting.
People are really sleeping on the infernal master - Him + 5 bolter rubrics is the most points effective way of generating cabal points (Behind Ahriman), and with the enhancement like you touched on, that flamer goes from a decent weapon to an absolute monstrosity, that if fired into MEQ will very quickly start making his points back and then some. In 2 of my 4 games of 10th so far, the infernal master simply being within 18" has shut a unit of marines down and denied my opponent a lot of points, due to the fear of overwatch (this is obviously after my 10 flamer rubrics + Ahriman are dead).
Yeah on 2nd thought I probably was a bit harsh on Mr.Infernal hah, though (in my personal opinion!) I still think the other Leaders are superior for the most part. All that said you made some very fair points, I'll need to take another look at him next time I put together a list. Tyvm for the feedback either way
You're so wrong on the infernal master he's awesome. He gives his unit sustained hits which is great because you slam him in a 10 man Rubric and now your bolters have sustained hits and devastating wounds when you spend the cp for psychic bolters and full rerolls. Then you give him Arcane Vortex and now you have a 2d6 ignores cover, torrent, str 7 ap -2 d2 gun that you can give devastating wounds and he can just turn a dice to a 6 to trigger devastating wounds. For 75 points this character gives you 2 Cabal points, one of the hottest guns in the book which you can use in overwatch too, and when you use the strat combo him with his unit just deletes something in shooting because you'll end up forcing 10-15 mortals into something. Every character in this book is great and compete with each other internally really well because they all do something unique for psychic weapons, abilities, and make their Rubrics better leaning into bolter or flamer Rubrics. This index is one of the prime examples of what 10th can be which is that everything has a purpose and can be made to excel at something if you list build with it in mind.
It was hard to rate that dude as we're absolutely *spoiled* with Tsons. Completely agree this is how all of the indices should've been written though, def one of those books that makes you want to get on the table with the army!! Appreciate the honest feedback tho, someone else was saying similar about Infernal Master & he is indeed cheap. I'm just a fiend for flamers lol
@fatarchon Both have their uses and flamers slam stuff that is t7 or less and work so much better with bringers of change because they have d6 shots with ignores cover. I view it like this your flamer Rubrics are going to be punching opponents units off objectives and then you dare your opponent to come back onto it in their turn because you will often just overwatch them if they go back onto it. Your bolter rubrics lead by characters bring that longer range shooting that can punch into higher toughness units because they get can get devastating wounds and full rerolls to hit to trigger lethal or sustained hits from the characters leading them.
I think Warpsight works different, when you see an enemy unit with one of your psyker unit, all friendly psyker models (in other units as well as same unit) has indirect fire to the target enemy unit.

I get confused because of the 'Target' restrictions but the actual text doesn't mention anything about "models in this unit" so RAW yeah that's how it'd work! Tbh kinda makes sense, 2CP to only effect ~2models in a unit is terrible but if the whole army is effected that suddenly can be really reeeeally good. Good looking out Razor!!

I'd prolly take the Vindicator over Enhancements. What's the rest of the list look like? Don't forget scoring!!
@@fatarchon ah okay, look forward to it :) I'm limited by what I own sadly haha it's either the Vindicator, enchantments or another Character Currently have: ahriman, DP+wings, terminator sorceror, shaman, rubric10, rubric5, tzaangors, terminators5, cultists, enlightenedx2, spawn, helbrutex2, heldrake, rhino enemy would be Orks (+ others but I want to stop losing to this guy in particular haha)
Versus Orks especially, yeah I think Vindicator is best - getting that S14 Blast on a T11 2+ chassis should be a chore for Orks to deal with, esp at range. Try to remember the Overwatch strategem if you're running the flamer Rubrics, they'll have to think twice before coming near you at all. Don't forget too you can move block with the Heldrake (put him where the Orks would want to finish their move) - aside from that SCORING SCORING SCORING. Trick them into trying to kill you while you get all the VP :P
@@Skillionaire005 last fews tips hah: They're going to WAAAAGH you either T1 or T2, so it's usually smart to screen with the cheap units (tzaangors, Cultists, maybe even Spawn) and/or reserve the important stuff to keep it safe. Otherwise try to snipe his buff characters, they lose a lot of their power once they're gone. And as always: scoring scoring scoring lol. Legit mentally ask yourself at the start of each turn how you can score the most. Remember that a lot of secondaries are positional too, so if you're able to sneak in some cheap Deepstrikes all the better! Good luck either way man
I'm a little late, but I'd put Ahriman on Disc in trash tier because he gives his whole squad the Fly keyword for the purpose of being attacked by anti-fly weapons, and otherwise gives almost no benefit and costs 5 more points than the standard one. Great video though! :)

Problem of Tzagor Shaman is "why should I take him if I can simply take more enlightens ?" They are so cheap that shaman really is overkill. 90 point for 6 zaagors and then we up prize to 150 to basicly get +1 to hit. Not worth for me. for 270 point we got 18 of those snipy boys. 1 shaman ups prize of whole company by 22% (330) .
Yes that is a completely fair point & honestly is *probably* the way to go. Enlightened are one of the best units in the entire game at that points cost & like you said you're only gaining so much % efficiency versus the % extra in cost, so I think you're probably right. I'm just enamored by Enlightened (if you couldn't tell lol) so anything to buff them I get excited about :P So cheap yet so many uses, I'd bring some with every list tbh

The fact you can change a damage roll to a 6 every turn is insane
Ahriman with 10 flamers turn off armor save and he gives them plus 1 to wound.....yes please

Shaman gives you a 5++ and generates cabal points. It's psychic attack also isn't terrible if you select dev wounds for the turn.
