Good old cereal. When you walk down the cereal aisle as an adult, it is nowhere near as exciting as it was when you were a child. Is that because you have changed or because the cereals have? Maybe both? Here is the first part of a two part list - 10 childhood cereals that you completely forgot about - part 1.

SUMMARIES:
- From 1981 to 1984 there were Banana Frosted Flakes. Can you even imagine? Is this something that you had eaten or something you are hearing about now for the first time?
- When we think of friendly cartoon vampires today we think about Adam Sandler voicing the vampire/hotel owner/father in the Hotel Transylvania movies. Back in the day when this film franchise had not yet been created, when children thought about vampires they thought about Count Chocula.
- The Flintstones were incredible. They were one of the first animated families to be brought into homes across America via the television. They were also the first animated series to hold a prime time slot.
- This next one is on the list of Childhood Cereals You Completely Forgot About because of the smell. Remember the artificial strawberry smell of the Strawberry Shortcake cereal? If you can’t, you can probably imagine it.
- “Two crunches in every double O” said the commercial, as the classic Star Wars theme played in the background. Two crunches! Why is that? Well, this cereal put two traditional O’s together to create two Os, which looked a lot like a figure eight.
- This cereal was basically just like Cheerios but with Oreo flavored O’s. Oreo O’s were made by Post Cereals from Post Consumer Brands. It launched in 1997 and had a very successful 10 year run before being discontinued in 2007.
- If you watched The Simpsons as a kid, you ran to get to the television in time to see the couch bit. It was always different… or maybe it wasn’t. Maybe you would run to get to the TV and be disappointed because you’ve seen it before.
- One big, hot, steamy cinnamon bun with icing on the top is truly delicious. How about three or four mini cinnamon buns on a spoon bathing in milk? They are crispy and crunchy and cinnamon-y too! Kellogg’s Cinnamon Mini Buns.
- For those who were not eating Cinnamon Mini Buns but loved the taste of cinnamon, there was French Toast Crunch. It was like having tons and tons of cinnamon French toast in a bowl of cereal. Remember the picture on the box of the French Toast slices being your cereal pieces!
- Okay. There is bad news and good news. The bad news is that this cereal was discontinued in 1995. Now, it is time for the good news. In 2018, the rumor mill started churning up about the possibility of Pop Tarts Crunch making a comeback, and people got very excited. These remained as rumors for some time until in January of 2019, when it happened. Kellogg's re-released Pop Tarts Crunch.

Like I said before, french toast crunch is my favorite cereal, I'm happy it's back! Also, they brought back Oreo O's about 2 years ago, it's at the stores not that far from my house. I hope they make it with marshmallows again!

Finally, somebody else besides me, actually remembers Pop Tarts Crunch!! I had always remembered it, & was regretful that I never got to eat any. When it was brought back recently as Pop Tarts Cereal, I told as many as I could that this was not the first time that Pop Tarts had been in cereal form, but unfortunately nobody else seemed to remember Pop Tarts crunch! Till this day, nobody I know has any recollection of it! Now I have this video as evidence of its existence!! 😁😁😄😄

Yes, it was a fun nostalgic journey. Some of these cereals, I'd never even heard of! I also specifically remember the Cinnabon cereal.
Just a FYI Pop Tarts Crunch (at least the Strawberry ones) from 1995 were far more superior than these that were released in 2019.

No but seriously, the newer ones were okay But I promise the other ones were so much better and they were definitely different… They weren’t as white coated for starters, and were just much different and better

I haven’t watched it yet but my childhood cereal that is gone and not replicated was Team Flakes. Yes, not a sugar bomb but a great crunchy tasty cereal I miss as a cereal eating adult. It was from Nabisco. Please include in a future version. ❤️

How did I miss the banana Frosted Flakes? Count Chocula, Franken Berry and Boo Berry are still around every Halloween here. I stock up on them every year. Give me anything with marshmallows and I'm happy! The more the better!! Still have the Oreo O's!! Mmmmmmmm!

For French Toast cereal, there is Apple Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but you have get it online because it is so popular.

I was watching this video and I just maybe you could do a video on products in the late 70’s that had some type of Star Wars toy/trading cards/stickers in it. I remember pitching a fit for my dad to buy wonder bread to get the Star Wars cards it came with.

Just saw on the Cereal Time channel today that Chocolate Peanut Butter Corn Pops is coming back (it's similar to the Bart Simpson Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch cereal).
I remember Monster cereal had two more, Fruit Brute and Yummy Mummy. Unfortunately they were discontinued.

I don't remember the Banana Frosted Flakes. As for putting real bananas in cereal? I usually put it in Kellogg's Corn Flakes.
What about the mummy cereal, that was part of the monster cereal (Count Chocula, Boo Berry, & Frankenberry). I can’t remember what it was called, but I think it was like a tutti fruity kind of flavor

The narrator didn't mispronounce his name. On The Flintstones the main characters pronounced his "dog's" name as Deeno. Even though it is spelled D-I-N-O.
