We weren't overweight, didn't have to worry about our schools/churches/malls being shot up, and I honestly can't remember being a slave to fashion, except for banana purses, Levi's, and Bastad clogs, but maybe that was just me! We didn't have to look at someone's butt-crack, or their underwear, and we didn't need Ring Security Doorbells, cos we didn't have "porch pirates", etc., etc. It drives me nuts, when someone says things are the same now, as they were yrs ago...that we just have more info now. Post toasties, sugar smacks, so many choices and food tasted better than it does now. Thanks for the memory jog! 😊❣️

Companies can't use the word "Sugar" anymore. Sugar Smacks are now called "Super Crisp"
      Whatever..

I have been asking people for years if they remembered Koogle. They all thought I was crazy. Thanks for proving them wrong and me right.

You're welcome. It wad a big deal and with all of the success of Nutella I'm surprised they haven't tried to bring this back. Thank you for watching!

Just loved the stuff. Ate it right out of the jar. Cinnamon was my favorite. I'd buy it in 6-packs if I could.

The best thing ever to put on bread. I still at times put cinnamon on my peanut butter today.

@@alwills92 They seriously need to bring Koogle back. I'd buy every available flavor except chocolate, which I didn't care for.

I LOVED Tid-bits as a kid. I would watch a Saturday afternoon movie & go thru a whole box without even thinking about it.

I also remember having rice with milk butter and sugar as a breakfast meal. I also remember having toasted bread with milk, butter and sugar for breakfast.

The banana flip was the biggest injection of sugar I ever had as my young self! So awesome.

Yep, me too. Now I add cinnamon toast crunch spread on my peanut butter. It kinda takes you back. I liked the banana flavored the best.

I used to eat it right after school. Smeared on a slice of bread, it was kinda like a chocolate sandwich.

Me too! Loved the vanills and the cinnamon ones best. And the jars were in our garage for years afterwards holdings screws and nails. Think they pulled it off the market because of some sketchy ingredient (Red Dye #2?).

When Mom and Dad went out on the weekends we got Swanson TV dinners. I loved them! Turkey with dressing was my favorite, chicken and Salisbury steak were pretty tasty too. Simple times were so very good.

I credit Salisbury Steak tv dinners with making me into a vegetarian.... Can't remember the brand (was Banquet around in the 1960s?) but the texture was awful. Mom inflicted tv dinners on us when she was too tired to cook. I didn't mind the mac&cheese ones but the meat types are an unpleasant memory. But Salisbury Steak was absolutely the worst of the bunch for me.

My favorite was the playable records that you could cut out of the cereal boxes. I remember having one from The Jackson 5 as a kid.
