- Yes, I've already done a Hidden Treasures but this time I have an old, unopened box that we can take a look at. And, besides, there's always room for multiple videos of the classic great cereal.

To this day, Hidden Treasures is still my all-time favorite cereal. I remember sitting in front of the TV watching Beetle Borgs while eating this.
In the animated commercial, that's def Kath Soucie's voice for one of the kids (Phil and Lil from Rugrats!). Definitely a voice that makes me nostalgic

I for one would like to see Hidden Treasure cereal back again, maybe even as a new organic cereal, with real fruit filling.
Why would you wanna make it organic? It was my fave and so short lived it should come back the the same exact way for the sake of nostalgia.
@@outcast566 Well, there's been a lot of complaints saying the some or most cereal are not good for little kids, since most of the cereal are not with chemicals and not real fruit, chocolate, marshmallows, ect. The same is happening with Kool-Aid, since made with deadly chemicals and not real fruit juice. If the cereal was made with real fruit, then the parents would truly allow the kids to eat it, and the cereal would stay in business longer.
Wow this takes me back. This and Sprinkle Spangles were two of my favorite cereals growing up. I miss being a kid. 😭

Hahahaha, you couldn't resist the grape! Man, I miss Hidden Treasures. I wish there cereal makers would bring back a bunch of these cereals like networks are doing with TV shows. There's definitely enough nostalgic demand for a bunch of limited edition releases.

Ugh the two best cereals i ever had. I loved them both so much. I remember running downstairs looking forward to eating them haha. I just wish i kept the boxes. Oh i would love to eat them again :)
When I used to go to my dads for the weekend, the first thing we would do was go to the grocery store to get my favorite foods for the weekend. And I would always get either Hidden Treasures or Rice Krispies Treats cereal.
Wow, I remember these commercials but not the cereal. Growing up my family stuck to the most well-known kids cereals, missed out on a lot of hidden gems like Hidden Treasures.

Good Stuff as always..I watch your videos when I’m stressed...it calms me down in a way....Your references to pop culture in the background are also appreciated...TMNT Cereal was delicious and I would love some Hidden Treasures right now..I use to like Alphabet Cereal when it came with Marshmallows...but now they only have the one without marshmallows..nevertheless see ya next time

HT tasted Snickerdoodle Flavored Chex. Sprinkle Spangles tasted like Cake. But it was discontinued and overshadowed by Frosted Cheerios.

I remember eating this cereal dry a lot, and picking out all the non filled ones so I could eat them fast to relish the filled ones.
This cereal totally came out of left field when I was 13 and yes it blew my mind too! I must say though that if I could bring only one cereal back it would be Ice Cream Cones.

This was one of the weirdest but most delicious and addicting cereal I think I ever ate in my life. I remember my mom coming home with this when it first released as she had coupons for it and biting into one of these things, I was blown away. The fruit filling was crazy, man i miss those days

It's an interesting question and one that I've thought about. I would for sure have to try them, but I really think it's the outer bland shell that would still turn me off.

I had some in June 1993, it wasn't all that great. The Frosting tasted like Bubblelicious and the Texture felt like Chex.
For those wanting to know what it tasted like, think of French toast crunch but with a fruity taste filling. That was the closest thing to buy after they were discontinued, my all time favorite cereal..!!

Unfortunately, this cereal was discontinued before I was born. I never got to try it, and I wish I could. Maybe one day. But only time will tell.
If I could bring only one cereal back, I would be truly torn. It would be the original "Freakies", "Dinky Donuts", "Vanilla Wafer Cookie Crisp", or "Smurf Berry Crunch".
I've never tried Hidden Treasures back in the day, though personally I don't really like the concept of some having filling and others not. I'd rather every piece have filling, but that's just me. It was cool to see you do another cereal from back in the day since going over old school cereals is my favorite type of videos you do. I hope to see a future Oatmeal Raisin Crisp cereal video! Sure there is still a modern day Oatmeal Crisp, but Oatmeal Raisin Crisp is the old school version from back in the day that I loved.
Here's the thing, the ones with filling were delicious but the ones without were also very good becuse the corn pockets were sweet.
I'm the odd one out, I didn't care much for the cereal. I would've rather have had them all filled and with a different flavor per box. But that also ruins the gimmick.
Or just all filled with grape frosting!
I loved hidden treasures! I actually have tasted something similar. Well 2 (besides krave, which is chocolate anyway) the froot loops w hidden treasures? I think it was called but it was limited edition. However it brought me some nostalgia on them snd then out now they have pop tarts cereal. The strawberry one has a frosting like jelly in the middle n reminded me of the hidden treasures!

Hidden Treasures was launched in February 1993. It was only around until Christmas. I recall it not being all that up to par. It tasted like Bubblelicious and Chex if Chex had Snickerdoodle Flavoring.
Sprinkle Spangles actually hit in Late 1992 and was on the market for 5 years. It was a Reboot of Ice Cream Cones. Spangles had more of a Cake flavoring to it compared to Ice Cream Cones. General Mills Dropped it when they launched Frosted Cheerios in December 1995. GM threw TONS of Money behind FC, even hiring Celebrities to do the Commercials. FC was a Runaway Blockbuster and was SOLD OUT Nationwide for a Week back in February 1996. General Mills is said to have sold 8 Million Boxes in North America during the Q4 1995 and Q1 1996 and its Profits and Revenue had JUMPED 69% by April 1996.
Simply put, Sprinkle Spangles got left in the Dust by The Runaway Commercial Success of Frosted Cheerios, so GM discontinued it.

@@CerealTimeTV The Flavor was fairly similar to Ice Cream Cones, except whereas Ice Cream Cones had a Malt Vanilla Shake Flavor to it, Sprinkle Spangles tasted more like Vanilla Birthday Cake with Sprinkles. Frosted Cheerios used a Similar Recipe and formula to Sprinkle Spangles(Sans the Sprinkles), so its not surprising that it was discontinued shortly after FC's launch in Early 1996.
If it makes you feel any better, GM changed FC's Recipe around 2003. It used to taste fresh and like Vanilla flavored Cheerios with a sort of cupcake taste to it , since then, it tastes like Cheap Oats, with semi sweet frosting.
I don't remember Hidden Treasures being that great or popular. It launched when I was in 4th Grade. I had a Box once, but at the time, my Stepdad was SUPER picky and strict about what Cereals to buy(I had Mom talk him into getting me a box) so in June 1993, I had expectations that were really extreme, and I felt like it didn't live up to my expectations.
