I assume that the alternative would be to use camper type vehicles and to take or import the food items you need with you. That wouldn't fit together well with her lonely biker tour.
The comment can also be interpreted as giving priority to the locally owned businesses, local capital, compared to foreign or international companies.

I immediately felt bad for myself and for many other Ethiopians who were watching her when I learned that she will not cover Ethiopia. Her videos really intrigue me, and since I'm a geologist, I can understand her well-informed remarks on various geological aspects. and I think her professional videography might have done honor to Ethiopia's breathtaking landscapes and abundant geological treasures. My favorite tropical fish were a breeding trio of Lamprilogus Brichardi. (Sp?) Regrettably, someone managed to steal all three of them. I just hope they were as loved and appreciated as when I had them! Beautiful pale blue with silver highlights, especially along their lyre tails. I still miss them, decades later. 😩❤️

I think Honda owes you a lifetime of free motorcycles and maintenance worldwide. There has never been better commercial promotion of a motorcycle since you started riding your Hondas. The only other one that comes to mind I’d “ the long way around” with Charly Boorman and the Scottish actor Ewan McGregor, and they had a slew of backup following them for technical support of their BMW GS bikes. Alaska is nowhere near that needy😎
