Great vid. They look great. I have a couple of questions. What frames/wheel set up would you reccomend with these? Also, Do the carbon cuffs of the AG10 give the boot a lot less flex? Maybe too rigid?
These are giving me heavy Carbon 4 vibes. With the cuff toe protector. And having tech. They look good tho. I hope Chad gets a Pro boot. For being Pro.
The V-cut insert is old. It's been on the Carbon 4s many years ago. The soulplate is not "similar to the AG10". And it doesn't have optional holes for drilling. It's the USD 7 soulplate that's been around forever and got the screw holes years ago. And I'm pretty sure the liners are not made for walking. Those silicone dots are definitely not for "not slipping when walking". This is just a commercial.
I never owned any USD carbon skates, so I was unaware that the cuffs were the same as the 4s. I googled some pictures of them and you are correct. I couldn't find an image of the USD 7 soleplate with drilled holes but will keep looking. People asked me if you could attach the soleplates with the optional holes, so I asked Iqon and they confirmed that people could do that if they wanted. Thanks so much for all your info, on my next trip to the skate shop I will closely examine the USD carbon skates to compare the similarities.! Take care.
I was very much sceptical at first to iqon brand, decode frames, different bearings, but this skate looks quite good though, actually I liked it, there are so many upgrades, I don’t know the feeling of carbon skate but I might like this one better, good review thanks
I'm curious, besides the name, what about these skats give you an oxygen vibe. Having skated Oxygen's for a long time in the 90s, I feel that these two skates couldn't be more different.
Seba CJ2 Prime boots retail for $399.00, and the Iqon AG20 retail for $444.00. The price isn't too different, and from what I can tell the attention to detail and quality of materials on the Iqon look much better. I admit I do need to get a pair of CJ's in my hand for a better comparison. I'm not sure where you came up with a 60% markup, the AG20 markup compared to CJ Prime is only 10%. However, the AG10 is much more expensive at $677 boot only, and most of that cost is due to the carbon boot and cuff.
@@longtermsquatter Strange. It looks like the pricing for the two skates is quite a bit different in the UK versus here in the USA. I wonder why the difference is so significant. That converts to about $430 for the AG20's in the UK and only $325 for the CJ Primes, that's almost $75 cheaper than they cost in the USA. I see where you are coming from now.
It's going to be raining all week, but the following week I'll be skating them. The timing works out as I'm still letting my back recover a bit from last weekend's fall!

Thank you! And thanks for your questions, I will address them in the next video. I will try and have it up by the end of the week!
Cool vid and cool skates I can't wait till you review both skates :)

That would be awesome if he got a boot. He deserves one for sure!

These look primo. Very cozy.

That is strange. In the powerslide review, the souplates had the muzzle sheet attached to it. Maybe Mathias mixup the plates. Lol
I noticed that too. maybe the glue side was facing the wrong way on mine. :)
Jan, is it just USD Sven shell with new skin? USD carbon 4 cuffs, USD seven souls and NEW liner :)
They have an Oxygen vibe, funny they’re called AG. Very close to AR

@@JanWelch it’s just the shape of part of the boot around the top of the foot. The laces give me an Argon vibe too
I’m not saying these are ugly by the way, great looking skate.
What is the fit width wise like is it a wider boot
These skates seem like a more expensive Seba cj2 prime skate. Would be interested in what justifies the 60% price markup

@@JanWelch I was mistaken. Ag20 are approx £330 and cj2 prime are £250. So approx 33% increase

@@JanWelch just to add detail without exchange rates coming into play. Grindhouse has cj2 prime at 280 euros. So iqon ag20 are 42% higher
What's the shell size of 43-44eu ag20?
♥️♥️♥️
Are the soleplates any good, and can they be used on size10 USD Carbons?
I will skate them next week and give a report on here. I have some carbon free's I can try to put them on.
@@JanWelch word!
skate it Jan
