awesome review!! I enjoyed the skates when I had them, but I didn't realize how much I miss that power transfer until I switched to Mesmers. Awesome skates though!
After buying the boot it is not similiar to the K2's. It is a plastic boot skinned with a heavy nylon fabric and while the skates are more comfortable than both Sways and Aeons there were some pressure points I'm dealing with until they fully break in. Also as they are a skinned plastic boot they are heavy and stiff out of the box compared to the skates I just mentioned.
I been riding the nearly same set up, I'd like to hear your opinions on using these boots with an intuition liner. I put them together and think its the best dang setup ever :]
Yeah man, my intuitions don't fit into the boots.. that's something I forgot to mention 😅 I ride a small thems but the iqon 7.5us shell is too small for my intuition... otherwise I would of definitely tried
I've been out of the loop for a bit, and checking back into blading the last couple days, looking to buy a new pair of skates. I got a question, aren't these pretty much USD carbons? I'm looking at this new company "Disloyal"...and it seems like it's an offshoot kind of company that is most likely owned by powerslide? i could be wrong...but looking at these, they literally look like USD carbons(frees), which I used to have the white ones and I'm thinking of getting the black ones I'm seeing in stock from a couple places. But these, Idk if the price is worth it over carbons if they are very similar to carbons, carbons are a little cheaper. And tbh looking at this, I think I prefer the carbon sole plates to the sole plates that come with these.
Yeah man, iqons is apart of powerslide. I think it's just marketed different and where they can try put out different gear. Yes, the skates are based on the carbons but different materials and the liner is separate. I personally like having the option to customize so that's why I went the the iqons.
@@ShredCitySkatesKelvW Yeah I wrote this while I was watching your vid and completely missed the actual liner, this is a good feature. Hey thanks for the reply man I appreciate it. I think I'm actually gonna go with another pair of carbons, but I think the full carbon cuff on the Iqons is pretty tough...idk, I'm kindof torn. I wish there was a shop somewhere close to actually hold them in hand and try them one etc...but hey, same as it ever was lol.
@TraderUpthaBlock haha, all good. I personally don't really like usd cause their boots don't fit my feet properly 😅 and heaps of friends like usd carbons, but I've never been attracted to them.. iqons, on the other hand, look different, and I guess it is like an updated version of the usd carbons. I don't know man 🤷🏾♂️ all I know is I really enjoyed skating them.. I'm even thinking of getting the next size up (8/9 shell) just so I can skate them with intuition liners. The 8/9 shell is just abit smaller than the small 909... fits intuition 7.5 liner perfectly, size 8 them intuition liner gets scrunched up at the toes. They're in my personal top 3 fav skates
@@ShredCitySkatesKelvW You know what? Intuition is like 4 hours away from me, I might just plan a trip to go out there soon. Yeah they are like an updated carbon. I also have my eyes on THEM as well, I like the brown ones. Thanks for the help man..I'll get it figured out. subbed also.
They must've been listening to you because Powerslide just put the new MyFit PRIME on their site as a separate purchase and swapped out that spongie tongue for a more Intuition'ish tongue...with the price tag to match at $170 US.
@@ShredCitySkatesKelvW bend it 100k times and it wont crease. It also adds a bit of snap and response. I learnt this from snowboard boots. Where the tongue is an integral part of performance.
Great video and skating! 🫶🏻 Can you please tell how sizing looks a like? What if I would like to buy a IQONs and get intuition premium liners in them? Should I downsize the shells? Much appreciated your response 🙏🏼🍺👍🏼
Thanks man 🙏🏽 so.. I downsized to a 7.5us iqon boot, the boot is a lot smaller. It's about 5mm smaller than the small them 909. I couldn't fit my intuition premium liners in the iqons. So I'd say, don't downsize 🤷🏾♂️ maybe hit up iqons for more details on shell sizing
#same I might "trick" my wife into buying me carbon fiber cuffs for my birthday or Christmas. Iqon marketing seems to be all over the place. Glad you made this video!
Good format and review and above all great skating👍
Aww thanks homie 👊🏼
love your videos dude
Thanks man 🖤

thanks man but yeah... the power transfer is really only thing that lets the skates down

UFC bolts will choke you out. Be careful around them.
Haha, I've been watching to many best of fight vids lately 🤣

@TraderUpthaBlock all good my man ✌🏽 pleasure to help. Is there a skate shop near by? Try on all the boots to see what fits your feet the best 👌🏽

you think they will be ok for wide beast feet? i roll razor sl atm but want something different yet still wide!
these fit me fine. My feet are wide too, there's alot of skates I cant do. The liner in these are really thin but real nice
Ima say it again, a thin layer of urethane built into the tongue is the next leap forward in blade tech.
Urethane?! That's kind of genius 😶

I'm 100% convinced that like a 1.5mm layer of urethane in the middle of the foam of a liner tongue will change the game.
@@beezwaks bro, hit up Mathias at power slide! 🙌🏽
@@beezwaks true that!! Wonder why intuition hasn't done it? 🤔

Try the carbon fiber cuffs, bruv
Yeah thought about it.. just can't be bothered buying them 😅
