Hi! Jan Welch here! Welcome to Then And Now, a TH-cam channel taking a look into my past and present within the sport of inline skating. The channel will feature documentary-style interviews with people I've worked with inside the industry, the skaters I've filmed, and the friends I've made along the way. Over the years, I've amassed photos and videos of each person that I'll include in these episodes.
Last winter, I logged all my old VHS-C, HI-8, and Mini-DV tapes for the channel. Each tape will be its own episode and will include commentary from myself and, when possible, some of the skaters who appeared on the tape to talk about the session and what went down.
This channel will document my past and present in the sport, both in aggressive skating and big wheel blading. I will have episodes of myself skating, my history in the sport, projects I've worked on along the way, commentary of my videos, the Scum Magazine days, the Daily Bread Days, Tour Life, and much more.

K2 nemesis? 🤙🏾first pair I ever had
Thanks for doing this man. Popped up when i searched Panchos Name out of the blue. Shoutout all the old San Antonio people.
Insane
Now when you watch everyone skate they’re just doing grinds on literal curbs. Why is everyone just being lazy?
Yup, just watched this 20xs ... so raw 🔥
Goatskies
Ah, the GOAT. Bought two copies of this way back, one still unopened.
Well done!
Thx, just got mine today !! Will have fun in Montreal!
This blank liner is now one of my favorite liners of all time. I cant get enough of it. I use it in my other skates too. I have high end myfit liners and reign liners. And the blank liner just works!
The undisputed goat
Didn’t realize USD carbon skates can be ridden without soul plates 😮
even baby elliot skated like a man
This guy parents got him ramps and rails..... game genie
Landing wouldn’t fly by todays video standards but that’s why I love it
After Aragon left, sure.
Rollerblading god! 🙌🏻
Congratulation for this video and for the support Jan.
Have fun with them!
textbook whatever that is 🤘❤️🔥
Hy Andy here, teamate of Jon back in 1997. I was also with a section in this video, but I lost the material. Could you please, please load up the whole movie 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Man…I truly missed this video! ❤
I could have sworn The Zutons wrote the original🤷🏼♂️ (Great song) Amy did have an amazing voice !!! It’s Unfortunate her life was cut short . The paparazzi was brutal to her back then!
The original king of Riz
Buttflip to fakie.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT
UNBELIVABLE!!! HOW?!!
this is awesome to see some light shed on Dustin. Was one of the best , if not the best in the sport. Style was definitely unmatched. Edit: the ending was so good!
Dustin will always be my fav and my hero.
Hell yea!!! I miss those times 😢
Rollerblading is like NASA we’ve lost the technology to go to the moon
Latimer is the goat for so many reasons. It's style that can't even be fully understood. I hate to be that guy. But blading won't see another like him. He wrote the book. Everything else is an extension of what he helped build. Or single handedly built. Honestly anytime someone does a butter true soyale it's just a road paved by DL. And not to mention I consider his fastslide in BFG to be the 1st real one. Guy just broke the dam open. A river of style and innovation. Sorry to worship. But he's a god.
Dope!
Boom
What skatepark ?
That is Northeast Metro Park in Pflugerville
L E G E N D 666
That’s not the bercey ledge
This ledge is actually located at Bercy. It's just around the corner from the famous one that many people have skated on, the one you're probably thinking of.
@@JanWelch it ain’t THE bercy ledge tho big G, hope your keeping well jan.
Dope
Just got my first pair in. The one things I wish happened here (easier to fix and a thing for all skates), I wish they went with a stiff mesh material for the sides of the foot section of the liner. The potential to allow my feet to breath would be tits
1st song was awful had to skip ru8ned sone great sk8n
How is the arch of the foot after a few skating sessions? I was wondering because I got the Next SL 80, but maybe I'm just too new to skating :D Great videos, love them!
Steez❤
