Saw my first DB11 yesterday, pass me with it's sports exhaust on at about 20mph on a small road in north London. Much prettier in real life than I thought it was from pictures I'd seen before.
Much smaller and lithe than I was expecting as well (seen two in as many days (Sheffield)), though it does look its two-metre width in a parking space!
The cinematography is beautiful. Good on the camera crew

Having said that Matt, Chris and the other supposedly funny dude actually have a really light and fun chemistry, different to that of the old 3 who used to be in that position. It's not quite the school boy humour of the others and is less snarky as a result. TBH I actually enjoyed the last season of TG more than TGT...
He is the reason I am unsubbing. Goodbye Top Gear.

So in short, Aston Martin perfected the car for a great action sequence for a James Bond movie.

The DB 11 effectively is the DB10. They look different but are based on new technology and engineering for Aston.
You know what the best thing about a new Aston is?
Now we can afford the old one.
My wife's sitting there going, "mmm yes the db11 what a nice fantasy car"
I showed her db9s on auto trader starting at 25k.
"We could have one of those", she said.
"I'd get to tell work I've finally got a car to drive to work"

Clarkson was funnier
Well duh, but as a journalist I feel like Chris is superior. With that said, give me old Top Gear over this any day, Grand Tour S2 can't come soon enough.
He's realistic, but Clarkson is so much more entertaining.
Personally, I love both shows. I'm a huge Clarkson/Hammond/May fan and I enjoy watching their antics on TGT... That said, I also enjoy watching LeBlanc/Harris/Reid on TG, as they have started to find their places and the chemistry between them has started to develop. It took CHM's Top Gear 2 or 3 series' before it really won our hearts. For me this is the best of two worlds. I get to watch both and be twice as entertained.
And 'yes', as a journalist, Harris is far better if you want facts over analogy and abstract humor. He does have a very dry wit though, and plenty of it. Plus his skill behind thd wheel is more refined from years of racing.

Chris Harris back at his best. A true car review indeed, the exact thing Top Gear should be about, not the pointless montage of egotistical tripe that the BBC Top Gear producers seem to think is needed on the TV to please the masses .....

You are so right i stopped watching TG about 3 series before Clarkson and co left..because it was just so predictable..but ppl loved the Clarkson but you never learn much about the cars and their stories behind their creation like how Chris gives you the ins and outs

-New Astons are the new and revised Mclaren SLR. Not built for lap times, but the ultimate "super tourer" OR for take the lady out for a midnight dinner on the water front.
I normally quite like the Aston look but this is a new high. Its gorgeous. I really like how clean the lines are and the simplicity of the shapes

There aren't that many eloquent motoring journalists who can really drive. Chris Harris can, and this is the best driving experience review of the DB11 I've seen.
I don't think there is any other driver who can drift this well.
Especially in the rain with no traction control on going that fast😂

Was next to Chris on the M4 a couple of weeks ago in a traffic jam. I said hello and he acknowledged, he was in a rather tasty 911 heading into Wales for a shoot. Always been a fan of Chris since EVO etc.

The chassis balance look like Ballet to me
Harry's Garage and CHoC/CHD is a perfect mix. Watching both of their reviews has given a fantastic all-round review of the DB11 (and other cars too).
Saw a pearl white one not far from where I live a few weeks back and I was head over heels in love with it. The best looking big Aston in a while. if I had the money for one, I'd buy a white one in a heartbeat.

And this is subjective I know, but I think the DB9 is the prettier car, the DB11 to my eyes seems to depend too much on the colour choice as to whether or not it looks good.

Chris Harris is the perfect example to demonstrate that some recipes never get old. So why ruin the looks, turbocharge and introduce a split personality to a car that was amazing already? Change for the sake of change is what's killing the auto-industry.

I see Chris Harris I click like! I subscribed to Autocar magazine years ago when looking for a new car and stayed subscribed after buying a car exclusively for his reviews and input. Cancelled my subscription shortly after he left the mag. The best car journo period.

I know Chris Harris is a more serious guy than Jeremy, James, or Richard. But Chris can make you feel his feelings about whatever car he drives. I mean, he reviews a car with passion properly. I still love the trio, but I also love Chris' car reviews.
The trio (Jeremy, James, Richard) are also good. I mean they can make reviews quite entertaining and can express their views on things without being so literal

The DB9 was it. Full stop.
It looked good, but really the original Jaguar XKR (X100) was a much better car than the DB9. This is Aston finally catching up and leapfrogging over the original XKR's GT credentials with a whole new generation of technology. But in 2005 if it was XKR vs DB9, the XKR was more refined, more reliable, and had better suspension, and was half the price. The V8 Vantage was then a better sports car (manual gearbox, 4.3 bored out dry sumped Jag engine), but it's only with this newer DB11 that they've finally moved on to an entirely new level.

I saw someone driving this yesterday, now I know what he was driving.
Harry Metcalfe did a review and mentioned about the vents on the front wing. Said they were a nuisance as all road dirt came through them and down the side of the car.
