In this fairly uneventful video, my daughter and I embark on an exciting ice fishing trip to a local lake, located just a mere 5 minutes away from our cozy home. Joining us is our good friend Guy, who graciously scouted the perfect spot for us and even pre-drilled some ice fishing holes for our convenience.
From the moment we set foot on the frozen lake, the action begins!. As we lower our lines into the icy waters, the thrill of the chase fills the air. The breathtaking scenery surrounding us only adds to the magic of this unforgettable day.
Although my fishing skills were put to shame, I must admit that my talented daughter completely stole the show and outshined me in reeling in the catches of the day. Together, we managed to hook an impressive total of 5 speckle trout.

Anxious to get snowshoeing! Now we're getting some snow. Figured Little Joe must be pretty thick, it's been frozen quite a while, I imagine. Latest I've ever seen our big lake go - New Year's Day.

Great video, some great cinematography, especially with the fire. Looks like you took the luck to the lake. Getting out side is definitely the name of the game. Season opens here on February 1st for fishing inland for trout, good old earth worms are the best bait here . Its great to have kids that love the nature.
I noticed you had snow too. I’ve never tried worms in the winter. I might just give it a try.
Yeah we have a little, but not the normal amount we usually have
