I wish this family would move to my neighborhood. Honor and respect.
or you could be that family of your neighborhood!
Hey can I move into your house? I can learn Tay Kwon doe.
My aunt lives in this area where it happened so I’m shocked. One day as we were driving by this store, she told me about this story, but I couldn’t believe her 😅
Instead enroll yourselves and your kids in their class
Trust in God and teach yourselves
Yes, this is the first anchor that I have seen on American news actually pronounce taekwondo correctly.
I've just thought the same thing
@@BlueBottle11Too bad the news station has an editorial style of reporting rather than an objective journalism style. It makes them seem more like a tabloid.
I've literally never heard anyone say it differently from how she said it
Yes she actually said 태권도. Most westerners say 타이관도 (tie kwan do)
She said it wrong. She said TAI (tie) kwon do. Not TAE (tay) kwon do, which is the correct way.
Martial arts and First Aid/CPR are the keys to going from bystander to great samaritan. This family's keen observations and spontaneous teamwork saved the day from much more horrific set of possibilities.
well said, good situation awareness
What an amazing family! They're definitely heroes! I'm thankful they were there to rescue the women being attacked!
As a Marketing Communications professional with 25 years experience in integrated public relations, this is THE BEST PR ever for a business! They did the right thing... extending themselves in service to the community they serve (corporate social responsibility), using the very same skills they teach as part of their business. Everyone for many miles should be flocking to this place to learn Tae Kwon Do from this particular family.
As someone with no college education, I too would assume rescuing their neighbor is good PR for a business lol
@mogdor It’s so obvious lol.
What an amazing family
So grateful for wonderful human beings like your family!! Thank you!!!!❤
Thank God!! This family showed up at the right time!!!! 💓💓💓💓💓💓💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
'Straight arm hold'...Wish this Family the BEST if they don't already have it! HERO'S!!!
Kudos to this family for saving the young lady👍🤩..My daughter is 1 belt away from her black belt in Taekwondo. I tell her to use her skills if ever in danger,no holding back.
Thank you from me too. I really appreciate your father's observations, clearly he is super smart and has that ability to sense when things are out of the ordinary. Best wishes.
Thank you!! What a beautiful family
Taekwondo mostly teaches discipline, respect and inner strength. Lots of Children in Korea start learning from a very young age. Absolutely brilliant people.
Why thank you 🙏
This dojo is about to sky rocket with students.
A life saved.
Praise God for these prepared people!
A lot of these stories don’t end by a hero saving them. God bless this family. May God protect the victim and give her the strength to continue living life.
Great kid, great family!
8th degree is actually insane. Scary dude.
Hope they get some more business out of this. And I hope the girl is healing. ❤️🩹
Wonderful …. You are amazing ❤
This is like a movie!
What a wholesome family!
God bless this family! My youngest sister is very close to getting her black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and it's my hope that if she ever sees someone in trouble, she'll do the same as this family did and use her skills to help them.
On behalf of all women - one of our worst nightmares is to be raped - I say “one of” because it’s probably top 2 fears along with death and losing a child or loved one, God forbid-
So on behalf of all women - THANK YOU to this heroic dad for being aware of his surroundings and noticing the man and checking twice to make sure she was okay.
She is incredibly lucky they were there to intervene. A wish that I know went through many women’s heads as they were assaulted.
THANK YOU to this man for doing the right thing!! And to the other family members for jumping in and consoling the woman.
Hope she quits that job and never goes back unless it’s to heal a hurt.
I hope that man stays in jail.
He's probably in jail by now, I feel bad for women that's constantly having to deal with creeps a daily and the fact you said losing love ones and a child got to me, Because I lost so many love ones in the past and im still healing from pain and loss.
Everybody was king fu fighting
Thanks for the earworm! 😆
They have shown one of the true teachings of TaeKwonDo/Martial Arts not just for protecting yourself and your family but to defend those who cannot defend themselves. As a practitioner of TaeKwonDo myself I salute and bow in respect towards this family🤛🤝👍👏🤝!
The reality of the world we live in is sinking into this young man. God bless his father and the entire family ❤ Heros!
More to good migrants like them who are actually an advantage to have in communities
Good people ♥️👏🏽
Thank you guys
Simon's dad: "Son, don't use the watered down garbage we teach to Americans. This is real. Use the DIM MAK! NO MERCY!"
Simon: 😈 SHIIIIBAII KESECKIII!!
If your a criminal, never do bad things next to a gym of any martial arts
🎉 Amazing 👏
good looking super heros kicking butt oh yeah!!!!
Wow, sign me up at this place. Great job family !!!
GOD bless Simon An and his family for helping out that woman!
Heroes - thankful for Mr An and the entire family
Amazing information

Incredible. What an amazing family of true heroes. Thank you to the five of you. You are real life superheroes!!!!! I’m so glad the victim was not raped. Thank you 🙏🏽 Incredibly respectful people as well. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

He's a little Bruce Lee Great job
“Bad guys even have bad days “ meaning the normal now is crime we now have a lawless society it’s not surprising un this regime
Rooftop Koreans reincarnated! Long live the Roof Koreans!!
That is one badass family
Good story❤
Tae Kwon Do is a great martial arts set to skills to learn for anyone with long legs. Unfortunately for me, only my 3rd brother is the only one born with long legs, so my father enter him in when he was only about 6yrs old and made it to a 3rd Degree(3 Star) Black Belt before he retired from it at the age of 17yrs in favor of other activities.
They are heroes❤ God bless them✝️🙏❤️
Bravo to their dad and the family . Me and my kids were made aware for karate stuff i like it but didnt get chance to go for traini gwish i was. Its important self defense
The Incredibles IRL
Enrollment surge for sure.
"Nobody boddas meeeee.....
Nobody boddas me either!"
Anyone remember those delightful Joon Rhee Tae Kwon Do TV ads in the mid 1970s/80s? Pepperidge Farm remembers!
“We s sue ok?” Like really lady?!!! She will never be completely ok!!!
🎉
GOOD THING DAD WENT OVER THERE, THIS GUY SEEMS A LITTLE UNSURE.
🙌
wheres the "this wouldnt happen in texas, we have guns!" typical comment?
something similar is above your comment.
Do you hate Texans? Are you sneering? Do share.
@@LilyGazou Hate is a strong word, are you a child? I asked where the typical "wouldn't happen In texas" comments are 🤣🤷🏽♀️ if that offends you I guess maybe I'm going somewhere with this.
@@Baliken100 really?? Lol glad I'm not the only one thinking it. Everytime there's a crime I see numerous comments about how it wouldn't happen there. Until it happens there, everyone's silent.
@@LilyGazou also I love Texas however I like to live in a place with 4 seasons but I visit.. my favorite artists come from the south. To answer your random "do you hate Texans " childish question.
correct me if l am wrong but An family might have the same Character of the Chinese 安 which means Safe/calm /peace

Yeah Queen Nikki wasn’t waisting any Time hoping to catch you by surprise to show you how happy & big her smile was seeing you again!
Good on the news anchor saying “Tae Kwon Do” correctly!
Absolutely fantastic! I'm in love with this! 🎨 👄👄👄🍌🍌🍌
Did you hear how this young man said goodbye ???!!! He said, "Thank you ma'am." I almost fell out of my seat. Good for you Mom and Dad for teaching your children well. Thank you for caring and that woman.

Bravo to the father for putting his life into an unknown danger to save a stranger. Way to go! Praise God for this family.
Well that was an easy decision he had his wife to back him up lol.
@@whiteheart6827 Regardless, these days, not many people want to get involved. All praise to this man & his family.
@@whiteheart6827 It's not an easy decision even with support from his family. His wife and daughter took the victim to safety. His sons helped restrain the offender. Somehow you think that is funny.
@@whiteheart6827That isn’t funny 😢
his father doesnt look like a big guy stature wise so its impressive he held the perp down. im so thankful for this family. this is what the USA is about, i wish we could remember that from time to time.
years of training vs a perp with problay no fightign expeirence or a lil of course he got dog walked
@@EasyWinking Yeah the only experience the perp had was attacking women.
Size isn’t as big of a concern when you have the right technique and skills
My 15 year old daughter can absolutely cripple men twice her size. I've seen her throw men and even gave her dad a concussion once because he landed wrong. size matters not
@@EasyWinking agreed
I am just thankful they heard her scream. Thank you to family that saved the lady. I pray the lady is okay that is traumatic. 🙏🤲🙏🤲
I wish they teach taekwondo where I live I want learn how to do it for self defense. Oh, you guys should ask that lady to take a class for self defense.
I would also recommend Okinawa style Karate or Shaolin Kempo. Try out different dojos.
Also look for Tang Soo Do schools.
@debra: If you've got the opportunity, do also check out Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or mixed martial arts (MMA) gyyms. They usually have self defense specific programs, even for beginners and non athletes.
The smile on his face when asked about seeing his dad be an absolute badass hero in front of his eyes 😁 gotta have be the child of a hero these days
This family quite possibly saved a life! They are indeed heroes! I need to correct what the interviewer said at the end though "we could have had a terrible terrible crime". A terrible terrible crime did occur. That victim's life is changed forever. She is alive but her life as she knew it has been stolen.
I’m glad they got there before he did something worse to her. I pray she gets therapy and the job gets more security at the workplace and more employees so none are left alone with costumers like this.
Agree 👍
Perhaps she should take Tae Kwon Do
This is subliminal messaging to normalize rape and tell women this isn’t out of the ordinary.. attempted murder is considered a crime but not attempted rape
@@yeseniaodalyss3029 in the US attempted rape is not a crime? 😱😱 In my country it's a crime, specially if violent force was used or victim was threatened with a deadly weapon.
Definitely heroes. I really liked how the dad used the guy's shirt to control him and didn't need to strike him. That's very important.
yes, imagine if they did, they would say it is a weapon and it would backfire
wish they can get the dad to demonstrate the technique he used to immobilise the guy.
remember he is a 8th degree Dan, aka grand master! not too many of them out there. I'm so proud to be a Korean today! let us not forget to lady we should all pray for her...
@@randyyoungban4021Dude Donnie Yenned him into submission. I’d love to see a demo of that.
@@BeeWhistler yes he did. he looks so grand master. I wouldn't want to truck with him for sure!
FAFO : Tae Kwon Do Family Edition. How about they get a reward from the town for exemplary citizenship?
Absolutely!
@@djdalton6070 100% agree
i was thinking the same thing.
yessssss they should be recognized and rewarded
Agreed. Might happen since the Mayor is a Christian with good morals and not a nut job Wokie.
❤❤❤ Brave & courageous KOREAN-AMERICAN family of HEROES!!! ❤🇰🇷+🇺🇲❤
The victim must be shouting very loudly that his father was alert enough to hear her. She was being attacked in the employee room back inside the shop so it should quite a distance from the shop front parking lot. Fortunately, she was saved by this hero family in nick of time.
I think she was dragged back there after she screamed because they saw them through the window at first.
great dad and great family, thank you!
Thank god for asian americans who contribute to this country, in tech, law, medicine and education
I'm proud of this American Family. I hope they are all given the highest esteem in their community...!!! Bravo!
WOW!! Thank you to Simon and his family for saving this woman!! And dad keeping the suspect immobilized! So many people these days would either film it or not get involved. Not this heroic family! ❤❤❤❤
or not even call police
The son stayed to help his dad and not filmed him immobilising the perpetrator. Some people may record it to use as future promotional materials for their business.
literally crying listening to this story. this family mustve been an absolute GODSEND for the victim
They’re the real Incredibles
I hope the lady who was attacked sign up for classes.
My daughters all learnt self defence to black belt level.
Actually self defense classes while they help women in some aspects they actually would not helped her in this situation. As the main help here was the dad putting his body weight on the other man and was able to immobilize him.
Men are stronger/weight more than women so when the man grabbed her the first time and then took her to the back room even if she was also a black belt it would not help her much.
The main thing women learn that is helpful is how to spot these situations, and carrying defense weapons that help them get away not fully attack the person. That’s why pepper spray is good while a knife isn’t as if someone just grabs your arm if they’re stronger the knife won’t do much.
Sorry I care a lot about self defense and the misconceptions about it. What would help her is to have those defense weapons but most of all have a guard or other person in the store with her. Cameras aren’t enough people they don’t prevent the crime they just help bring justice after it’s happened.
Koreans are net positive to America, in so many ways
Great story, phenomenal family!!.
great story; fearless heroes! society thanks you
God bless this wonderful family!!! They are true American heroes!
Oh, I wish there was video so this family of heroes could really go viral! Dad leads by example. How proud they must be. I hope they are getting really for all their new customers!
What a great family.
One of the rare times you see an Asian on the news... they save somebody loll. How could anyone hate Asians? Theyre legit model citizens lol
As a former student of taekwondo 3rd degree black belt! You guys are heros thank you for helping the lady 🙏🏽❤ i hope the victim come to your School for TKD lessons
CRICKET needs to get that victim a lifetime membership to that Tae kwon do.❤
Yeah and make sure they have more than one employee working.
@@Kt-cn2rqright! no employee especially young or a female should be alone in the store :/
@@fluttershypiExactly or have some sort of guard at night even if they’re not trained just having them there is enough to deter people
Heros
This is why my family are in Martial Arts. We doe a combined Shaolin Kempo and Okinawan Karate. My Daughter is 3 belts away from black and she's only 15. I've seen her throw full grown men. We are all trained in weapons and in diarming. I absolutely encourage ALL kids take Martial Arts, but especially girls.
He says "thank you ma'am" at the end, something you don't hear from kids these days.
This is a miracle , couldn’t we all learn from this family the world would be a better place. ❤
So proud this family helped rescue a victim.
My family and I are also into martial arts in addition to safety and tactical firearms training.
You never know when you would need to defend yourself, your loved ones, or someone else.
Bravo to this family! God bless.
I always teach how our voice is our first weapon . and arming ourself with bear spray before weapon is my opinion .
Pinnacle of the Asian American Dream right here
At first I thought the dad had a lower degree belt because it didn’t look like he had a black belt on. This family is so cool. They are heroes.❤
One of my sensais has a belt that is basically threadbare with little black left. He refuses to replace it because he earned that belt (4th don) in China and after years of work. My kids worked with a 5th don master who had two belts like this.
That's how you know a "black belt" has had that rank a long time. Their belt "turns white".
They may also, depending on the discipline, issue a separate belt for a Grand Master.
@@johnandkellytumlin8056That’s a really cool little detail!
Yup! It seems like he’s had his belt for a very long time. If you look very closely, you notice the stitches in the belt are black. The ends also sit lower than the rest of the family’s which shows it’s been tied over and over for many years. It’s definitely faded and frequently used. He’s a very experienced master and for sure!
Wow, much respect for this family! I so admire them for not only having the training for a situation like this, but for not hesitating to use their education and skills to save this woman's life! What a wonderful story. I wish many good things for Simon and his family. And I wish they lived next door to me! 😊
Heroes 👍
