Made this today with homemade dumplings. I omitted the carrots and whisked in 2 tablespoons of flour after I took the chicken out and before I added the dumplings because I like mine thick. Nice, simple and delicious recipe that can be easily adjusted as you see fit.
Will be trying this one this week. If find it hard to believe that anyone would feel the need to critique this or any of their videos. I thought the girls did a great job. I will continue to look to their website for more recipes and videos - anything to make this crazy world a little easier. Thanks for all your efforts!
Thanks ladies for posting this video. I usually make my chicken & dumplins on the stove, but my life has became busier and I am needing to use my crockpot a lot for dinner or my family would be eating sandwiches for supper. I will try this recipe this week. Will post how it came out.
I made this today and it is awesome! My husband usually calls it an experiment when I try a new dish and I am happy to report that he loved this dish!! I will be making this again. So easy and inexpensive - my kind of meal! Also, love your FB page - that is where I found you first. I hope you keep this up because I love the videos and I love reading everyone's posts on the FB page. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks ladies. I used a can Pillsbury Grands Homestyle Reduced Fat Buttermilk Biscuits. 16oz size. So a lot of dumplings. Also added 1/2 bag of mixed frozen vegetables. I had 2 ears of Ohio Corn (the best) and just cut the coronals off the stock add to the mixture. Fantastic! Please don't get discouraged form posting because of some idiots posts. Must be a lack of parenting. Or just poor manners.
This was amazing! My husband LOVED it and chicken is not his favorite! Will definitely make this again. :) thank you so much for all the recipes. Makes life easier.
I'm going to try this recipe out right away! Sounds delicious and so easy. I subbed to your channel as soon as I started watching this video, I knew I was gonna love you girls! Can't wait to check out the rest of your videos. Keep up the good work! xxMeg
I used the recipe that called for two cans of soup and cup of water....cooked it all day...yeah it went over 8 hours....came back and threw the biscuits in and turned it on high for 45 minutes....OMG easiest meal I have ever made in my life! and nice and tasty...sure you want to add the carrots, celery and onion you could do that too but we loved the way ours turned out....good luck to everyone
Crock Pot Girls..Thanks for sharing your Chicken and Dumplings recipe! Looks great! I can't wait to try it. Whenever you get mean comments on your video's, remember you have some very appreciative, new fans...Keep sharing!!
Yummy. It got a 4/5 in our house. The 5th would have liked it if she had really tried it too :) Made it exactly how you suggested, only I used thighs instead of breasts. My crock pot has shifted to warm and the hubby didn't know to turn it back on to cook the dumplings. Delicious! I will be making this for my freezer cooking co-op too. I am sure it will freeze perfectly (without the dumplings, of course.)
I never leave an appliance on when there is Noone home 🏡 especially a crockpot....great recipes but someone needs to be home while it's on you never know I don't want to ever come home to burnt wood
Nice & simple for a single Mom like myself who does work all day & needs something great to serve. My youngest loves chicken & dumplings & this seems so simple. Though I would have done my liquid mixture first & then added the chicken in. Also, it would be nice if ya'll could possibly pep up your narrating just a bit..maybe add some excitement or share a story along with it. I really like your videos though...on my way to watch another, giggle.
What a great idea! I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for some yummy, creative slow cooker recipes. I just have a critique/suggestion on the video. I LOVE the fact you have 2 cameras!! The framing is great! You could even get a little tighter if you want. Lighting levels are different between the 2. Since you are already editing between 2 cams, u can cut sooner - video will go smoother/quicker. Ex: we don't really need to see scraping out cans. 1:19 to 1:36 was just adding C.O.Chix Soup. :)
@victoria, I love this, I was just trying to tell them that they can make money off it because it's so popular. This easily could be a professional cooking show. It doesn't take hollywood to be a chef. Like you say, there are real moms that are looking for excellent recipes that don't take hours to do. I'm a guy that cooks for families and this is a godsend. as far as the no offense intended, if i didn't put that in i would feel guilty for making a possibly helpful suggestion.
@maeistero Point well taken, maeistero. That's a problem I think we all run into online - can't type inflections in your words!! I agree, could easily be a professional cooking show. I know I will be watching them!! :-)
@Dizzylizzyscreations I rewatched the video and get it now! The first time I watched it the video must have cut out before i watched the entire thing! :D
I'm sorry but that is chicken pot pie soup, not dumplings to us here in the south. But I know it's good eating all the same. I know it's kind of nervy to video yourself, but your nervous habit of scratching can be tamed if you become aware of it and correct it. People comment on stuff negatively and super rude because they are idiots, but to try to be a help to someone to help them perfect their videos is another story. Good luck ladies. Hope you make more!
@maeistero If you have to start a statement with "No offense intended", then it might be better to keep your lips closed. The point is the recipe, not to have a professional cooking show. These are real moms who have jobs and that is the appeal of this site. That's why I watch, because it is presented by people who have the same lifestyle as me (work and kids) and frankly, I would not have time to talk to myself first to make the video go smoother. It's a very good video as it is.
Ok I like you both but does she keep playing with her hair then scratch her head then pick up the dough? Um really not cool. Keep hands off head and hair while cooking.
I love how amateur this is. No offense meant girls, but when you make something the first time, talk to yourself so the video goes smoother. By the way, I check your fb at least once a week for new recipes, thank you! To make more money, sell advertising for smoke alarms and fire insurance.
This girl on the right.......I do not know names yet ,but she was doing the stirring and adding of the ingredients, I find it offensive that anyone who is cooking, messes with their hair 2 times then scratches her nose .....Nasty.....Just my opinion
You may not realize but you played with your hair a few times and rubbed your nose right over what you were making. I respect your cooking but those things are no no's in cooking. Thanks for making the video though.
You ladies good job THANK YOU SO MUCH disregard the people that are picky GOOD JOB

I would leave out onions and carrots, but I like the recipe.Y'all had some good ideas..Thank ya much.
Thank god you added vegetables, I was looking for a recipe with cut veggies.
I think I prefer the larger one with the ample comfort fruits.
Quote from the family "your gonna have to make that again".
The video must have turned off before I got to see the end! I rewatched it and understand totally now! :D

Kind of grossed out when the lady on the right rubbed her nose and then later handled the biscuits.
I did a video inspired by you guys thank you!
Thanks for sharing. Looks great. Can't believe that people feel the need to critique the video. Get a life!

Have you ever tried to use already made and frozen biscuits? I wonder how that would turn out?
@maeistero Point well taken, maeistero. That's a problem I think we all run into online - can't type inflections in your words!! I agree, could easily be a professional cooking show. I know I will be watching them!! :-)

DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does it matter what size crock pot you have? I have a 4qt if yours is bigger should I cute the ingredienta in half?
The only way this could be better is if you gave the option to print the recipe also. ...
@nonnaofemmett how much of the noodles do you add?
It's condensed soup; you're meant to add water to it if you're going to actually eat it as soup.
One on the right is a 10.
ok this may be a stupid question is the biscuit cooked before i place in the pot
+Tammy Turner hi, no in it will be in it dough form .
Tammy Turner omg...
no spices?
Can you cook on high? If so, how long do I need to cook it?
Where are the dumplings? The title says chicken and dumplings? Looks good other than that!
This is a show about cooking not hair. Thanks
Or is cream or soup?
is creamed soup usually that thick?
