I want to thank you girls. I am currently on the quest to loosing weight and not by choice either. You have shown me there is a easy way to cook without stressing. I never thought making Lasagna would be so easy. I plan to follow you and visit your website often. Thank you so much!
I have cooked a similar lasagne recipe in the crockpot before and it turned out delicious! I bought the ingredients today for this recipe. I bought the no cook lasagne noodles last time and this time. I wouldnt try the regular lasagne noodles. So the NO COOK LASAGNE NOODLES IS THE BEST TO USE.
Great video! I subscribed :) I like that you had your ingredients ready & that you showed the finished lasagna picture at the end. Very simple...who knew? Great team work also.
I am currently looking for another crock pot/slow cooker and have never seen one like the one you used here. What kind is it? Mine is a 6 quart oval one but I love the shape of this one. Thank you :)
Hey Girls! Could you hear me yelling, "NO -- noodles next!" :) Just goes to show how forgiving Lasagna is in a crockpot. My family loves it! In place of the spinach -- or in addition -- I add strips of zucchini (sliced lengthwise not in circles). My kids have always been great veggie eaters so it wasn't a problem. Just a suggestion. Keep up the Great work!
I fully agree blitzkrieg1122 and totally disagree with romance698. I used to make my lasagne in the oven but now I always use the crockpot. I don't even cook the meat first. I just mix the mince meat with the spaghetti sauce and layer as normal with the pasta sheets and ricotta mix. I do let it cook on low all day though. To me a crockpot is for ease...I just want to be able to throw everything, walk away and come back at dinnertime. I don't even brown anything first.
I'm curious as to whether or not romance698 has actually tried making this in a crockpot or just assumes that "there is no other way around" making this other than just putting it in the oven. I've made it several times and have received so many compliments on it. Don't knock it until you try it.
Tried this tonight. Loved it!! A bit bland for my taste though. So, next time I'll replace one pound of beef with Italian sausage. Add bell pepper & onion to the meat mixture & cut the ricotta cheese in half. Thanks for the recipe! Super easy :)
I looked at other recipes and some start off by putting a layer of lasagna noodles first so I was wondering if it matters if you put the sauce or the Noodles first?
Jocelyn M Hello There are many different ways to make Lasagna. personally I use a roux based cheese sauce on top of the noodle layer to seal the layer. There is no difference as to start with noodle or sauce first. Some people put all the sauce/meat in then a layer of noodles topped with the cheese sauce layer and grated cheese on top. It is down to you to decide how much noodle you want, (More layers more noodles Andy C
Hello Try making a proper cheese sauce starting with the roux. When you layer up add the tomato mix then the mushrooms then the spinach and mozzarella, Then a layer of noodles. You then seal the layer with the cheese sauce. Repeat as many times as you want. The top layer of noodles is then covered with a thicker layer of the cheeses sauce and then covered with grated cheese Andy C
Sorry ladies, crock pot lasagna does not work. When you make a lasagna, after assemble it, put it in the oven. There is no other way around for this dish. Sorry!

Try nutmeg in the cheese mixture and the Italian seasoning in the meat sauce. It gives it a huge depth of flavor.
Trying this tonight!
I'm making this right now.

Where did you get that crock pot =)?
My noodles were like corn chips.
@mamatina2009 The spinach worked perfectly :)
I have to admit Im a little skeptical about that much spinach lol

I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PUPOSE OF THE EGG ...
the egg makes the cheese set more so it doesn't just all fall apart when it's finished cooking
Isn’t the point of a crock pot one pot to put all ingredients in , the beef as well? Ugh
Yet another lasagna recipe that isn't.
