- Truck drivers face hazards on the job every day, hazards that don’t even involve driving.
Meet Donna: Mom, delivery truck driver, amateur tennis player. Watch what happens when her life takes a bad turn after she’s struck by a pry bar while securing a load on her truck.
In this delivery truck driver safety video, we see how simple mistakes could lead to serious injury and why you always need to secure your load safely by using the proper pry bar for the job, wearing gloves, and positioning yourself correctly while cinching the straps.
Working in commercial trucking involves some actions or movements that can put you at risk of sprains, strains, or other injuries.
How do I use a pry bar safely?
One way you can reduce your risk of injury is by working from a balanced position:
• Make sure your body is not directly over it.
• Stand facing the bar with your legs shoulder width apart.
• Grasp the pry bar with both hands and wrap your fingers around the bar in a tight grip.
Consider the following additional tips to reduce the risk of injuring yourself while using a pry bar to cinch the straps:
• Wear gloves to help you keep a good grip on the bar
• Ensure you use the right tool
• Be aware of your environment

Yes you are Donna!!!! Professional 🤗
Nice video, go Donna!
I like this channel.
Donna is going steady...
My favorite in these series are "Wait, that's not..." lol
I'm a petite 5'4'' and I almost always use the extension bar for more force 'cause Québec weather = frozen/wet straps more often than enough. Once a short and skinny driver told me that he was going to use it next time and that I had a good idea...lol !!!! But with or without one remember to make sure your pry bar is where and how it should be!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ HVALA.
Oh wait that ain't Donna Marksman

i once saw a guy got hit by the bar using a hydraulic press. after that, i always stay aside from bars... i thought the guy was going to die, as he got hit so hard!
did you get his job? ....dang!
Craig seems like a real dueshe- nozzle. I wouldn't trust him to water the lawn let alone drive my kids anywhere
it always pays to pay attention
