- Beach Bumming in Style!! A 22foot caravan on Teewah Beach all to myself.
In this vid I hit one of my favourite camps in QLD on my own and have an absolute blast!! I take the 200 and the caravan across the North Shore ferry and spend a few nights up the beach.
A sneaky day trip up to Double Island point, a few cookies, a couple a sunsets and a few frothy's.
Loads of info in this one about the gear i use and how to get yourself up to this epic camp spot.
Cheers legends - Enjoy - Justin

Felt like TIAV of old. Bit of humour, few hot tips, a cook up and awesome location content. This is still the greatest channel of its kind 🙏 thanks heaps Justin !
Much appreciated! Thanks a lot mate and glad you enjoyed it
Onya mate we’ve been watching you since the beginning and you should be pretty proud of what you’ve achieved on this you tube thing 👍
I appreciate that mate. Thanks for hangin around 👍🍺🍺
I remember Teewah Beach and double Island point from the 1980s when my wife and I use to camp there, lovely.
What a beautiful camp spot. Yes, l could feel the serenity!
Yes indeed!
Hey Justin, you can cut off the starlink spx plug and install an rj45 connector on the end of it so you can plug it into your van, super simple and there’s a few kits online that come with all the tools required (if you don’t have a mate with an rj45 crimper).
Or you can also buy plug and play adapters for it as well if you don’t want to cut your cable.
Cheers man, I’ll give it a go hey
Yeah mate, super easy to do and there’s heaps of videos online showing how to do it, and plenty of excess cable if you do arse the first one up 😂
Bunnings and Jaycars sell rj45 connectors and crimps as well if you didn’t want to wait to buy something online.
Absolutely love serenity and wishing hubby and I get to travel this year
Have fun!
Love the tips and tricks videos
Glad you like them!
Truly brilliant and what beautiful beach. Do you ever stop eating 😜. Nothing like peace and quiet. Thanks for sharing mate...
Love me food
Liking the solo missions mate , keep it up
Glad you like them! Cheers for watching mate 👍🍺🍺
God I love you shows , Justin you make me laugh with your funny stories of the kids coming in hot on your cheese and kabanna platters, I hear you…..kids!!!! Then you nearly drop it in the sand. Also the way you talk to the camera it makes us feel like we are there with you on your adventures.
Yeah what is it with people crashing in on your space omg rack off.
Congratulations on another epic video ❤
😂😂thanks champion, glad I can make you laugh with my shenanigans
Fantastic episode, Bourbon or scotch always taste better when frozen. Amazing when you have a beach full of space n people want to squeeze you up
I'm the same age as you and also have the 3 kids. Soon as you started talking about the Arvo nap, I instantly called it. Those are absolute gold on the rare occasion you can get em in.
So good hey!
Frickin awesome Bunji 👌Nothing beats a solo mision for peace and solitude. 🙌👏🤙👍
Hi mate. Not sure if you know but you can cut that end off your Starlink and replace with an RJ45 end to suit your van. You can get the bits and crimping tool from Bunnings. If you leave some length of cable on the end you cut off and put an RJ45 outlet on it you can reconnect the ends if ever needed. Pretty straight forward and plenty of videos on good old TH-cam! 👍
Thanks heaps mate I’m gonna do that
100% correct with the hygiene comment mate. Food contamination when camping/traveling is a bigger issue than people think. Salmonella loves poor food prep practices and can ruin a camping trip big time.
Agree mate
Loved this episode. A great spot, a bit of info about the practical side of touring and your usual cooking and humour. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
G'day bro, thanks heaps mate 4 a awesome vid. Like the turning off of the electric brakes on the van in sand. Didn't even think of that one. Now added to my bucket list for a trip north. Brilliant vid bro, Cheers mate 🤙😉🍻
Glad you enjoyed it mate hey, cheers for the comment👍
Great vid mate
What a top spot 🎉
Thanks 👍 wicked beach camp hey
That is so nice, it’s now on my bucket list! Thanks for showing mate!
No problem 👍
A man needs a bit of solitude from time to time, absence makes the heart grow fonder . & frazzled nerves regenerate..👍
Nice
I'm not sure if you actually wanted to know about why American cheese is orange or not, but here it is. Grass fed milk produces a yellow cheese because of the beta carotene in the grass, but corn fed milk produces a white cheese. Many years ago, there was a battle for the consumer based on the quality of the milk used to make the cheese, and the amount of yellow became a visual cue for the quality of the milk. So the mass producers started adding annatto as a yellow food colouring to trick the consumers into thinking they used grass fed milk. This battle to trick the consumer resulted in more and more annatto being added so their cheese was the "yellowest". Eventually, there was so much annatto that the cheese looked more orange than yellow.
😂😂 that’s awesome! Thankyou I really did want to know that hey. Always found it strange.
@@TripInAVan yep, like so many American things, it's just a way to trick the consumers. 😂😂😂
This is one of those useless pieces of information that’ll stick with me. I love it
Awesome episode, loaded with helpful info and tips and back to basic stuff for those new and still learning caravanning etc
As always footage is amazing and loved that you had a good time even on your own and enjoyed your platter to yourself 😜
Awesome, thank you! Good times for sure
Awesome episode loved it 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Cheers mate
Thanks Justin , really enjoyed the video . A bit different without the rest of the family but it’s always great to have time out on your own . Keep ‘em coming ! 👍👍🍻🍻
Cheers mate🍺🍺🍺
Great channel. Good to learn new things from you. Love the truck and caravan, the way of living, look's like bliss there. 👌😊
Cheers man I appreciate that. 👍
Great vid. Been on our bucket list for so long.
Planning to head over on a Sunday as everyone heads back.
Keep up the great work👍
Have fun! Hope the weather comes good
Thanks heaps Justin, awesome episode as usual.... my bucket list has a new addition 😂
Great to hear!
Loved this vid!! Tips tricks and the full cooking segments reminds me of the videos youd do a few years ago while fulltime travel. Keep them up!
Glad you like them! Thanks mate
Awesome episode, Justin, Bec and the kids would have loved it. It's my 2nd favourite spot on the sunshine coast.
So good! I might take the kids next time… or maybe not 😂
One of my favourite places love it
Gorgeous place Teewah - well done Justin 😊
Cheers mate
thanks for the tips on Teewah I cant wait to give it a go with the van.
Hope you enjoy it!
Chain hooks on frame after five years 😂😂 always learning something in life. About the only thing I know more than you guys.
Keep up the great videos 👍🏼👍🏼
😂😂 blew me away hey, I was like duh muppet
@TripInAVan Wouldn't worry about it..I've learnt heaps from you guys. Stay safe out there 🥰
@@gavinrobertmoore cheers mate, have a great Easter
Love the channel, good episode! Also, the cheese packet is resealable if you peel it back instead of cutting
Thanks for the tip!
Loving these episodes, good stuff. 👍🏽
Glad you like them! Cheers mate
Had to laugh at your solo platter! Gotta say a solo trip looks the goods. Love my kids but this hit home. Haha…
So good!
This video has made a very strong case to re-consider our move to the Sunny Coast.. Bit of planning to do but thanks for showing us places like this.
It’s the best
Thats a bit of me mate. Nothing like a dose of solitude. Great spot mate. 😊
You got that right!
thanks justin great epp mate gives me a lot of confidence to take our van up beach with ur tips 👍👍stay kool mate 😎
Great to hear!
Awsome spot right there mate looks great🤙
It sure is
Awesome video and awesome place! This will be me very soon. But in my case , permanent solo. Well, until I meet someone. Oh shit! Not solo anymore. Bugger!
Those ARB deflators are the go. My misso bought be a cheaper dodgy brand and it wouldn’t put the schraeder valve back in! Lucky I had a tyre kit with new valves to get it sorted! It’s all fun learning as you go 🤙
Great point! I carry spares as well hey. I’ve lost one in the sand before
Lovely Ep and spots, Such a lovely spot midweek out of holidays, Thats my pet hate to is when someone you do not Know camps right beside you.
Had a ripper time
I go up there once a year I normally just take rooftop tent. But just got a caravan but it's not offroad just normal van but I reckon will be no problem it's pretty easy acess. Another great video thanks for sharing mate
Also what zone were you in was a good spot for a van
Yeah you’ll be sweet with an on road van hey 👌
Awesome mate 🍻
Thank you! Cheers!
Wicked vid mate… love the tips and of course hygiene is king! 🍺
Cheers man! Keep em clean or keep the vomits mean….. or sumthin like that hey😂😂
LOVE Makers! Will bring a couple of bottles for our trip mate 🤙
It’s freakin delicious hey
Afternoon nap 😴 aka a scan …. (Senior citizens afternoon nap) 🤪🤪
😂😂perfect
Justin, that platter looks bloody delicious mate 😊
All to myself to 🍺🍺😂😂
What a piece of heaven that beach is~ perfect! I missed the family too at that swim spot! Y’all can talk like us any ole time y’all get a hankering to 😂 It’s a bloody good thing mate ~ back@cha 😂 Cheers 👍💕✌️😎
😂😂 why Thankyallll for the comments 🤙
@@TripInAVan 😂
Great vid mate!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great rig, great location, great content and great advice. Then there’s the trip in a van Big Tortilla. Keep up the good work ( if you call it work, ha😅)
Thanks! Will do!
Great spot when you're the only one there mate, jackpot!
You got that right!
Full ground up resto would be sick, keeping it looking as original on the outside, but some sneaky under bonnet mods for hp👌
Great episode.
Thanks mate
Shout out from Kentucky! Pretty close on the accent, LOL. Respectable bourbon choice. AWESOME show.
😂😂 cheers man!! Thanks for watching
Cracking vid & spot mate. I know a bloke that had your star link cable problem. He just bought a $40 adaptor & it worked perfectly. 👌
Thanks for the info, I’ll have to search the adaptor 👍👍
Yeah don’t know what it is with people who have miles of empty beaches , dozens of empty camp sites yet feel the need to camp right next to you . I feel your pain mate 😂
Cheers man
You haven't quiet thought of everything Justin! A BREATHALIZER WOULD BE GOOD! About 130 bucks (I think) from any Motor Appliance Shop. I'll buy you one😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
😂😂😂all good
I do "snack platters" for dinner when camping but the trick is to to 1 each for the kids aswell. Also red wine and bourbon is required.
Ahh a dodgy platter for the kids is the trick hey 😂
I have been using the tuff terrain tyre deflators and so far have had no issues with them, and they are pretty accurate. And they have numbers on the dial so you know how far you want to drop your PSI to, plus less strain on the knees lol, and doing 4 tyres at once.
Sounds like a plan
By the way mate you can just cut the Starlink cable and chuck an RJ45 on either end and plug into the socket on the caravan. Then buy an RJ45 joiner for when you're not using it with the caravan.
That’s the plan yeah👍👍
Great vid. A great part of the world. Years ago we had Bathurst on the tv in the back of a mate's wagon sitting under a heap of tarps. And yes agree..... People that park near others when there's plenty of other places is beyond me. Oh and..... Hot Tip.... don't use spray oil on Weber plates it's actually not good for the coating on the plate or your arm hair 😂😂
😂😂 no good for the Weber??
@@TripInAVan yeah the grill coating gets damaged from the spray on oils mainly due to the propellant. You're better off oiling your food only.
Some great tips ol mate 👍
Just make sure you leave nothing outside at night.
We've been hit with scummy people stealing from camps .
Over the back of the camp Noosa Everglades is the best spot I've ever been 👍.
Absolutely
39:10 That scene caused severe brew spewage onmy part. Prob cause I know exactly how it is 😂
Hey mate, take your starlink to a place that runs data cables for computers, they can cut the cable and add the plugs for you with no issues, any electrician who does data cables will be able to do it as well. Definitely an easy job and worth it. Cheers Damo 🍻
Cheers man, I’m gonna do it hey
I feel ya pain. I don’t understand why people need to camp on top of other people. It annoys the piss out of me. Really dude you have camp right there. Great vid mate. I’m always in ore of your 200 it’s just mint
Cheers mate👍👍
Chloe, you’re never going to see this but I love and miss you, she watches all your videos and ima make sure to comment on them all and watch them all to remember her
Ahh the serenity of solo camping. Great episode again keep them coming you’re the best family to watch on any platform 🤙
Thanks! Will do! Cheers mate
Legend, do a video of your new ELITE Tray and canopy please mate. Im pumped to see it .
Will do , comin soon
Hey mate, just letting you know, blue bottle jellyfish can't sting out of water. So no problem touching it under your guard. Been camping there for 38 years.
Well sorry thats bs seen lots get stung with them out the water.
Nah man these things stung me a day later when I washed the car and van at home
OK, We have walked along the beach for years squashing them with our feet on the high tide mark, never been stung. Plenty of stings while surfing though. Maybe if they are wet again?@@TripInAVan
another awesome vid thanks! I have just ordered the ATX suspension kit with the level 4 controller - is yours level 4 and if so do you use the 'auto' levelling option? and have you had any hassles with it?
Glad it helped, yes ours is level 4. I use it the auto ride height function to set up for travel. It would be good to add the remote control feature as well
Starlink works for us because we use it for phone calls as well, so we didn't have to buy a satphone for remote travel.
Great idea
You need to get a indeflate. Easy to deflate and inflate the tyres and half the time. 👍
The last time I was on Teewah Beach we came across a breathalyzer unit about half-way up. It's definitely not a place to drink and drive.
For sure.. 👍 always stay under .05
I was up there last weekend and it was blowing a gale and raining the whole time and all I can think about is going back
It’s epic hey
My mother loves you so much bro. She always saying how you know everything and good in everything and very hard-working. Enjoy your time there brother. Cheers 🍻
So nice of you thanks mate
Great spot, Teewah, but it is not the '80 /90's definitely mid week full of people on weekends & public holidays. Yeah, camping up your butt we experienced it even in Kimberlies & N.T. recently camps everywhere and some sets up camp a van distance away.!!
Crazy times
Hey guys, love your videos!! Just wondering if you have a BOS jockey wheel discount code? Cheers
@@samanthapopple5091 I don’t sorry, and Thankyou 👍👍
Hey Justin I know your gunna get lots saying this when you turn tortillas over you then put the cheese on the so it can melt then take them off tastes yumo
Oh great idea man thankyou
Hey just wondering what brand are those fridge trays that go in the bottom of your fridge in the cruiser? Thanks for the great vids!
They come as part of the Dometic fridge 👍

Hey mate, you can 'modify' your Starlink cable as it's essentially only a data cable with different connectors. You do need to chop it and jam RJ45 connectors on the ends; there is heaps of info about it on TH-cam. Cheers, Cam
Thanks mate I’m gonna do it hey
@@TripInAVan for sure. Have a crack and record it; great content👏🏻
@@cameroncresswell2986 for sure
Soooo frustrating when you have a good camp spot no-1 else around anywhere and some peanut pulls up right next to you.. happens way more than it needs too..
Happens all the time to me hey
❤
Great vid. Can the kitchen organiser slide into sail track? What’s the highest and width of that bad boy? I reckon it would fit over my tunnel boot to stop my barbie smoke going in.
Yeah it comes with straps to slide straight into sail track.
I’ll put the link here so you can check dimensions. Discount code is tiav15

Can you let me know where you went please. Looks amazing love your videos
Teewah beach
You should have 2 sets of auto tyre deflators. So much quicker and not much kneeling down
Absolutely
That is my pet hate when someone parks up next to you with miles of space. A close 2nd is when someone speeds up before an overtakng lane.
😂😂 the overtaking lane guys are so bad
Life is good, especially on Teewah!
What is the ebay electric BBQ and is it any good?
Great episode.
Yeah it’s good mate 👌 only cheap though, don’t think it will last long
Oh champ- 4X and Pure Blonde 😢 come on bloke…
Oh well you’re cheap to keep - nothing fancy! 😂😂
😂😂 as long as it’s cold I’m drinkin it
@@TripInAVan ha ha ha Justin , cold AND a good taste bud lol….
Great part of the sunny coast mate to do a solo on the way back home to the H bay
👍😄
What was in your Tortilla Slider/Big Mac again? Oh and it’s tor-tee-ya not tor-tilla 😜
😂😂 just dissolve squashed on the torteeeyah , onion pickles cheese lettuce and burger sauce
Great vid again! How heavy is the lotus bud?
It’s 3100kg tare
G'day mate, annoyed cracking vid. In it you mentioned your car is 4.5t, how do you guys go with having a beer and driving in Qld. Down in Vic our BAC has to be 0.00 and we can't drive if the GVM is 4.5t and above. Cheers mate
Yeah we are sweet, only over 5 tonne I think in qld
@TripInAVan thanks for the response mate. I just saw my phone wrote out "annoyed", it was supposed to be "another". Bloody auto correct🤦

Zone 4👌👌
I was recently on Fraser Island the biting flies drove me mad. Are they on Teresa too?

Hey J , yeah love Teewah .
About to get a van with bags, what % you running for road and what % for sand ,
Cheers mate!
Bags stay the same mate hey. Mine are about 55psi for the correct ride height
@@TripInAVan thanks mate , so for the correct ride height , you just raise or lower to keep the van level with your tow vehicle . ? how much travel do they have ,
Cheers
@@steveseeney6493 not so much to level it with the vehicle, just to get the airbags at the correct height for range of movement for suspension
Ahh gotch ya , thanks for your help champ !
Might be a good idea for an episode on how they work and applications
