Keep up the good work and giving laughs. I saw your show here in Albuquerque New Mexico you were awesome you and your crew do an awesome job but still love your Yugo, car and I still think about your H1 hummer and what you said about it that was lotta laughs to keep up the good work. Stay safe and be careful. Please be careful.

That car is worth money because of people like me, so you’re welcome. I’ve totaled over 300 Yugos through the mid 90’s. I used to jump a Yugo into a pile of Yugos at monster truck shows and dirt track events back in the 90’s. When those started getting harder to find, I went to an even worse car, the Dodge Colt. I took out about 200 of those as well. The Colt was far less reliable and you only had about a 30% chance that the good one would start for the jump.

Stupid fact on why the Pinto was given so many lies about why it caught fire. There was 1 event where the car exploded and damaged about 30 other vehicles. You could have blamed it on the car or more realistically blamed it on the fact that some gas station owner thought it was a good idea to sell gas for $0.07 a gallon because he got a great deal on gas because of someone fucking up the paperwork and a bunch of people used their Pintos to drive there because the Pinto had great space inside of them to be able to place a bunch of containers and well it was well seen by one of the survivors that said they saw the guy smoking and he put his cigarette out inside of a giant punch bowl filled with gasoline and the gun had nearly 300 gallons of gas inside the car and inside containers strapped to the roof and gasoline is very flammable especially when you have a shit ton of gasoline and you are smoking cigarettes and you put one cigarette out by plunging it into the gasoline. That car went up in flames like a fucking bomb because it was turned into a bomb because of gasoline and not the car. Stupidity of the drivers is why the car gets a bad rap while the car itself was not bad at all and in fact there are people who still drive them and several companies who still use their original Pintos for their businesses. There are over 500 vehicles with over 100,000,000 miles on there speedometers and they are all Pintos with 1 having been used constantly with nearly 0 maintenance and has traveled over 15 billion miles for its company as the main work vehicle and instead of flying their employees still drive that 1 vehicle because it does not die and needs nearly no maintenance and when it needs maintenance its new brakes and new tires and gas and oil changes and 7 times its had its spark plugs replaced in the last almost 70 years. Yea the thing has had no real maintenance because it does not die ever and is a really really good vehicle. Aside from dumbasses driving with open gas containers and missing the ash tray and plunging their cigarettes into gasoline there is no safety issues at all.

Well technically when you are driving you are not at home and technically kids should not be driving in the first place because they are too young to be allowed to drive so in reality you should have said "Middle age teenagers and adults do not do that on the road.".

He deserves what he has, when you watch him do his stuff.... well he told his kids, put your nose to the grind stone. The hours of continuous practice he has to do, to perform his characters like he does.. His timing on changing voices as quickly as he does would take tremendous hours of practice. So cool in his performances..

My dad owned 1 of them, I really don't understand why people from America(and the rest) constantly bash on Yugo, we basically never had any problems with it, granted my dad kept good care of it(change filters and all that on time). He had it for like 15 or 20 years and it never had any major problems. Was it the best quality? Nope, but it was cheap car, what do people expect?

As a young enlisted military couple (serving in the U.K.), my husband and I had a Yugo. I didn’t know how to drive a stick-shift, so I pushed it while he started it. I did this while pregnant with twins. Not a fond memory. 👎🏼🚗🌧️

I would have it repainted to a flashier color.
That Yugo has the same shape as the 1980 VW diesel Rabbit DH&I had. It had the smallest H-shaped stick shift configuration I had ever driven, ever. Even smaller than the MG midget MiddleDD’s boyfriend let me drive back in 1998.
I need to borrow one of my sons-in-law’s vehicle to freshen up my stick-shift-using abilities.

WOW!!! Jeff, TRUE STORY: In 1992, I bought this EXACT BODY STYLE YUGO AND COLOR from a friend, for $100. I was a Sophomore in High School. ('I'm not sure of the exact year, but I believe it was a 1982). My friends were in "VO-TECH" in High School (Vocational School, so you can learn a trade, Brick/Block Laying, Carpentry, Auto Mechanics, Auto Body, etc). They said, "Let us take your car in, and we're do all the mechanical, and body work. The teacher will help us, it will come out perfect, and we'll have a project". I'm like "SOUNDS GOOD". LONG STORY SHORT. They had it in the Auto Mechanic Garage in the School, on the Hydraulic Lift. AND,... FOR GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT REASON,.... THEY WOULD PUT THIS INTO A SCHOOL FOR HIGH SCHOOL KIDS,.. the Hydraulic Lift had an 'Independent Piston Option". So they use to play a "game", to see who had the "guff" to keep tilting the vehicle on the lift. NEEDLES TO SAY,... my 82' Yugo, became a PANCAKE!!! They flipped it off the lift, onto the roof!!! I only got to drive it ONE TIME for like 2 MILES!!!!!

The spare tire is a safety feature. It is actually the primary impact absorber in a front crash. When it was removed, the Yugo flunked the crash safety tests.
Chrysler wouldn't let me bring that idea back in 2015 for crossovers. I think it would've been a useful space and weight saver.

My late stepbrother owned a used car lot in Tucson and purchased a 1988 Yugo at the car auction in Phoenix, Arizona with 35,000 miles on it. The car broke down about 80 miles from the auction and he had to tow back to his lot. Nobody would buy it and he scraped it after two years.
You mentioned Ford Pinto’s he sold allot of those with few returns. The. Pacer he refused to buy because they weren’t good …”his words.

I had to deliver one of these to a local bank and just getting it up over the curb to put it in their lobby for a car loan promotion burnt out the clutch and the entire bank smelled like that for a week. 😂😂 They had to send a tow truck to bring it back to the lot because it refused to move under it's own power. Thanks for bringing back that great memory Jeff Dunham.

A friend on mine was on his way to work and his Yugo was only a week old. He had been bragging about the great gas mileage he was getting. He came in late really pissed off and his excuse was the drivers door fell off while on the freeway. He had to pull over and on foot dodge traffic to retrieve it. The dealer refused to believe it just fell off and he had to pay for a new door. That was bad enough but the real pain was the ribbing and jokes at work. He found matchbox cars with a door missing on his desk, car door handles in his desk drawers, yellow stickies and notes stuck to his back warning people to watch for falling doors, on and on. There was no mercy.

I almost bought a convertable one in Youngstown Ohio. It was between that and an S-10 EL all black. I went back to look at the Yugo (it was raining) and even though it was brand new there was a puddle of water on the floor. I bought the S-10 the next day. I mean, if I had gotten the YUGo and somehow kept it, I would have a nice little return on investment. But at the time, I was just looking for a solid first new car. S-10 was a great little truck.

    Or.....
YUGO, It's not as bad as it looks.
    Or......
YUGO, at least it's not a Vega.
    Or......
YUGO, A truly great value. More or less.

Had that same car with the optional wheel covers and rear window louvers. It was actually a decent car as far as mileage and fun to drive.

Looked at Yugos the year after they stopped production. A dealership in KCMO had several. My husband extremely frugal wanted economic car to drive...So 1 year old cars... It took 4 cars B4 we found a car that started. It was very cold weather. My 2 boys were small & backseat was too small. My shoulder overlapped my husbands (only other car that was that small was a Geo metro). But the gas mileage wasn't as good as my Chevette. *Which my kids fit in & room for groceries. And I drove my 76 Chevette 300000+ miles

And I thought I was weird for having an obsession with Vista Cruisers growing up.. and AMC's and wagons in general now. Unfortunately with all my medical issues negating jobs and the car economy being what it is now, I'll likely never be able to afford one... AMC maybe, but the gas price kills that.. best I'd do is to find a manual Mini S Clubman.

Look Jeff when these pos came out you could buy a Toyota thunder truck for $4999 and a ford ranger was $4999 as well. Now the yugo was cheap but it was also a huge piece of JUNK!! I had a neighbor who bought one brand new and did not make it to 4000 miles. Yugo would not honor the Warrenty and it sat beside his driveway for years and I had a friend in high school his parents bought his older sister one and it broke down every couple weeks they traded it off after 4 months and many many trips to the shop. So basically both of the encounters I had with that car company was that they were just junk.

We purchased one brand new in 1991. There were several changes by that time compared your 87. The engine displacement was increased to 1.3 liters, and the carb induction system was replaced with a direct multi point Bosch fuel injection system. The transaxle was also changed to a 5 speed. We bought it for $4100, and drove it over 150,000 miles before some electrical gremlins sent it to a friend as a parts car. The only issues we had were the window cranks broke several different times, the shift linkage separated once, and the fuel pump went out 3 three times--twice under warranty. The fuel mileage, while driving over a mountain pass back and forth to work, averaged 45 MPG. Hard to argue with that, even today. Probably the best part, is that it was INVISIBLE to cops. There were several times I was bombing down the interstate at extra-legal speeds when a State Patrol going the other way flipped a U-turn and fell in behind me. Letting off on the gas and coasting down to legal speed, I could see the cop in the mirror double checking his radar, looking at the car, shaking his head, and turning off. Good times.

How do you double the value of a Yugo?
      Fill the gas tank.
Little known fact. A 4 door model was planned.
      It was called a Wego.

    • @L4ki0

@@midnightelectric1 there are more jokes for yugo like:
My electronics on yugo got broken.
Than other guy asks: what electronics ?
How to tripple value of yugo ?
Fill in gas tank and buy new front tires.
I guess you now know how to multiply value of yugo by 4 times.
      This is good one:
In Japan, car manufacturers had sealant check: they put cat inside car, turn off air conditioning, close all doors and leave car for whole night.
If in morning cat inside car is dead - that means car is sealed well, if cat is still alive than car is leaking air.
For yugo we had lower standard: they put cat inside car, turn off air conditioning, close all doors and leave it for night. In morning if cat is insde car, than car is sealed well. If cat is gone, than car is not sealed well.
