    THANK YOU!!! Long story short.... My 2008 BMW 118I started acting up early 2223. Same problem. Health issues kept me from driving the car for about seven months. November 2023 I started the car and drove it. Problem is still there. TH-cam to the rescue..... I read a comment from another video on how to turn the DTC off. One problem solved, no more noise. Your video helped me find the problem and saved me a lot of money. I just have to order the parts. The work I can do myself. Thank you very much!!! Again Thank you..

      Hi ... i own a grey 2005 BMW 1 series petrol 🙂........... it had a hole in the rusted servo so the garage fitted a used one and the car drove beautiful
      .
      It's only been parked for a few weeks and it pulling hard to the right and when i just steer back left the DTC light pops on and power is lost at 2,000 rpm
      .
      I polish the car and drive it carefully............. but i wonder if they are posessed by the devil .......lol
      .
      Wow it,s cost a fortune but the garage are great and help an old friend out 🙂

    Cheers Rob, just to add to the comments below, these videos are really helpful and I thank you for taking the time to record, edit and upload for us. I know the effort involved and appreciate it. I have a very similar problem, and something which adds weight to the problem, is a rubbing from the rear corner. This has definitely given me some direction, and even if not related, it's a starting point. Thanks Steve

      Thanks for your kind words Steve. Another thing to look out for on these is the brake back plates rot out and become loose. Front and rear. 👍

    I have a BMW 118D M sport 2010 reg, this happened to me today on the Motorway I lost power and my car wouldn't let me accelerate over 60mph hence that's why I came off the motorway, Pulled in to a petrol station turned engine off for 20 mins then headed back home then it was fine no light appeared. Ruined my day. New car me thinks :)

  • @stupa55

    I wonder if just spacing the sheared sensor would also fix this. :) As long as the sensor reads it is not faulty, and the spikes come rather from the point where it touched the ring.

      aussiebloke609 I had to take my car in to a garage in pretty much an emergency once. I was away from home and the radiator was leaking, I had no coolant left. My fuel was low but not empty, maybe 60 miles left or so. When they finished replacing the radiator they said I was a typical customer leaving them a car with no fuel in it! Felt guilty after that, as I normally make sure it's not that empty.

    I’m having the same problem on my car, will this problem with the reluctor ring also cause the brake disk or wheel hub to overheat? Could a warped disk also cause a similar problem with the tc?

    • @OneAuto
      @OneAuto  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No.. a seized brake caliper will cause overheating. A warped disc would not affect the TC
