    Absolutely my favorite song off Speak & Spell and naturally it was a Martin Gore track, not Vince. Even early on, Martin was the better writer by far and I think Vince knew it. Sounds great on S&S and live with Alan Wilder.
    Great job!

      @@AlessandroGiancane thank you. The complexity of it showed Martin’s true hidden talents.

    warms my heart to see someone like me enjoying their SH201--- still got mine and love it just as much as when I got it, way back when they first appeared.......seeing you playing your versions of the tracks from Speak And Spell reminds me of when it was released and I got it as a Christmas present.....I was already a huge fan of theirs and was learning to play piano/keys, so I religiously learnt to play all the parts to the songs on the album and the same with Broken Frame......love your recreations...top marks for your devotion to Depeche Mode....

      Thank you very much for the comment Ged 🙏
      I love the SH201 for its usage simplicity: in few minutes I’m able to reach very closely the sound I’m looking for. Most of the times, I use it in bi-timbral mode: split keyboard mode, lower part on the left output, upper part on the right. It’s the case of this video: bass on the left, solo on the right. This way I can apply different eq, pan and external effects.
      And… yes! DM is one of my favorite bands: I should find more time to recreate some other track from Speak And Spell…
      Thank you again. Alessandro

    It's fascinating to hear songs de-constructed.

      in fact this is exactly what amuses me in making these covers: analyzing the original song and identifying as many details as possible.. At least I try :-^

    Una delle piu belle, senza dubbio, suoni ed esecuzione perfetti! A me piace molto anche il giro armonico della parte finale di Shake the disease

      @AlessandroGiancane  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Grazie Antonino! Shake the disease è un grande pezzo: mi piacerebbe tanto farne una cover, ma richiederebbe una preparazione ancora più complessa, per via dei caratteristici campionamenti utilizzati nel brano originale

    I remember in the 80s my mate could play all of speak&spell . When ever I went round his house though he just used to play me his terrible songs he wrote his self .

      @@AlessandroGiancane Io ho difficoltà a scegliere un album, però è vero che Speak and Spell ha una magia e una freschezza unica che i DM, purtroppo, si sono lasiati un po' alle spalle. Continua con le tue eccellenti cover!! Ti seguirò con piacere.

    Were those drums coming from??

    • @AlessandroGiancane

      Hi @mildred714, they are samples played by the Roland S-550

    • @mildred714

      @@AlessandroGiancane so you essentially sampled them from the original?

    • @AlessandroGiancane
      @AlessandroGiancane  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @mildred714 not exactly: I used drums coming from my sample library... Sometimes I recreate drums (kick, snare, hi hat or toms) with my synthesizers
