This sounds great! I love the sounds you chose. Keep up the great videos. I love watching them. :) I have a lot of the same synthesizers and you always make me so happy to hear them played so well. You're very talented. Take care, Sam.
Nice ..The Sounds are Great ..Thanks for Posting..Great Playing ..What a Tune .. The word tora (虎) means "tiger" in Japanese, , an acronym for totsugeki raigeki (突撃雷撃), literally meaning "lightning attack,"
Thanks for your appreciation duke, just don't compare me with DX5 :-) He has his own style while me I have my own one, it's not matter of being better than the other. We're just all having fun posting our covers here on TH-cam, and DX5 made also his own music, while me I'm not able to compose a single thing.
mima14031985 yes your quite right. It's all for the fun of making music. But your hands know your way around a keyboard. Your probably a very good piano player. 🕶
That's great! I spotted one difference from the Speak & Spell version: in the verse the bass should go down to a D natural every second bar, but you play a C sharp. Also works though. Kudos!
I don’t wanna be picky but isn’t the bass playing d# instead of c#? I’m talking about the end part what is also played in the beginning right before verse 1.
@@mima85 Hey sorry it’s been a while since we last talked. I would like it if you could help me with how you shaped the parts for tora tora tora if you want pups to mind?
@@CDSJ80 Yes, again, about which sounds you need the info? There are many sounds here, if you can be more specific about what you're searching for I can give you some hints.
@@CDSJ80 The intro bass is made with sawtooth for oscillator 1 and PWM for oscillator 2. The oscillators are spaced 1 octave apart, and there's some decay and release on the filter's envelope generator. There's also some release on the VCA's envelope generator, so when I release the keys the sound doesn't mute suddenly. The final touch is to put the synth in unison mode with some unison detune thrown in too, to make all the Jupiter's 6 voices playing together. Unison mode is essential for that bass. The first bass on the JP-8000 is quite similar, the oscillators are set in the same way but the filter's envelope closes the cutoff faster, there's also a tiny bit of attack on that envelope and some filter resonance added too. No unison for this sound. The second one, which I play together with the flutey lead on the Juno 106 in the video, is made by two sawtooth oscillators slightly detuned and set on the same octave, again with some decay on the filter's envelope. No unison here too. I lost since a long time those sounds as I overwrote them with other patches, so I can't give you very precise directions. Those are just the basics, experiment a bit with your synthesizer following those guidelines and adjusting the patches to your ear and taste, and you should obtain similar sounds.
That's bloody amazingly 👏👌😍
Thank you, glad you like it :-)
Just one word:''WOOOOOOOW''!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+АЛЕКСАНДР КУЛИКОВ Thank you for your appreciation :-)

Yes I realized the difference after having made the video. Thanks for your appreciation :-)
This is awesome!
Hey, thanks :-D
Nice choice to cover, especially those atmospheric pads and windy sounds!:) What is the synth that is under JP8000?
Thank you Tigromaster. The synth under the JP-8000 is a Roland Jupiter 6.
Juno 6?
very good my friend very very :)
+Mike D. Thank you :-)
YES SIR
im blown away by the split patch on the JP6 its accurate
Hey I’d like to talk to you about how you shaped the sound you made for tora tora tora. I have a Roland JP8000 as well as programs from Arturia
The spirit of Kraftwerk, was present here by far!!!...
I don’t wanna be picky but isn’t the bass playing d# instead of c#? I’m talking about the end part what is also played in the beginning right before verse 1.
You're not picky, you're right :-)
I got that note wrong, I too noticed that by watching again my video (I didn't watch it for a while now...).
Hey man that’s an amazing cover! Would you please be able to share how you got the sound of those synths by chance? 😀
Thanks for your appreciation :-). There are many sounds here, about which ones you need the info?

@@mima85 Ok understood so yeah how did you program tora tora tora bass intro sound and the other bass part that you play on the JP-8000?

How do you play the part beginning at 1:51
Can I add you to fb to be a friend?
I'm sorry but I don't have a profile on Facebook/Whatsapp/Instagram/TikTok/whatever, and I never will. I just hate social networks :-)
