El protagonista (el cantante) acaba de terminar su relación con su pareja. La relación es terrible para ambos, ambos saben que debe terminar pues los dos están hartos, pero él está en negación y ella solo está cansada de las peleas y del daño que ambos se están haciendo. El protagonista hace todo lo posible para recuperar su relación sin embargo su pareja ya no puede seguir y termina la relación.
La canción fluctúa en tiempos, antes de la ruptura, durante la ruptura y después de la ruptura.
Al final el protagonista sabe que no puede hacer cambiar de opinión a su ex pareja pero se intenta consolarse a si mismo con el hecho de al menos haber intentado lo posible para recuperarla, dejandose a si mismo y a dios como los únicos testigos de su esfuerzo.
