Finally had a whole ass reason to leave CO. Made it to Houston. Cousin there took me to Galveston and I blasted this in her car during the drive, played it as I walked through the sand and into the ocean. Love this song and glad to have bound it eternally to one of my most cherished days.

I was having lunch the other day with my wife of 22 years. This song comes on over the radio and I Instantly froze. I haven’t heard it in about 8 years. What made me freeze is the fact that when I used to listen to this song I was majorly addicted to pain killers, and an alcoholic. It immediately took me back to that time and those horrible memories. Good news is I have been sober from it all for 5 years now. Life is good.

I was having lunch the other day with my wife of 22 years. This song comes on over the radio and I Instantly froze. I haven’t heard it in about 8 years. What made me freeze is the fact that when I used to listen to this song I was majorly addicted to pain killers, and an alcoholic. It immediately took me back to that time and those horrible memories. Good news is I have been sober from it all for 5 years now. Life is good.
