The funny thing about the #1 entry is that while making their Daily Double wager, a contestant said "I'd like to buy a vowel, uh, true daily double". As a result, Alex pretended to look upset, as he looked to his right and yelled "Vanna!!!???".
Ken has learned everything from his mentor, Alex Trebek. And later, Ken has finally got his own dream job, replacing Alex as Jeopardy’s new permanent host.
The crazy thing about Ken's streak is that this aired on July 12, but the episode in which he finally lost didn't air until over 4 months later on November 30.
Oh I love #1 there. Another good choice is to be Regis Philbin asking Trebek if anyone has ever won a million dollars on Jeopardy. Also invite Sean Connery over to a party. One more thing. Make sure to make him read Kebert Xela
You gotta upload the segment where Dave spilled coffee on his microphone after his monologue. I don’t know if it was actually intentional or accidental but I remembered it so vividly on that episode.
@kerryedavis...the Connery references are based on the recurring SNL skit from around this time frame of Celebrity Jeopardy with Will Ferrell as Alex and Daryl Hammond as Sean. Every time "Sean" would buzz in, he would answer in the form of a question that insulted "Alex", often with an improper suggestion about "Alex's" mother.
I guess this was done while Ken Jennings was in the middle of his run in 2004. I seem to recall someone talking about buying a vowel on Celebrity Jeopardy recently. Also, I notice many times on other game shows where people say "what is" to act like they are on Jeopardy.
But Alex wasn't the one doing the introductions. Jeopardy's announcer is Johnny Gilbert, who started the same episode as Trebek and is still in that position.
And that actually predicted the future since Ken and Mayim are both gonna face off against Vanna in the season 3 finale of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on Wednesday.
If anyone saw the movie QUIZ SHOW how the 50's show was rigged then you may wonder if this guy Ken Jennings was really winning all these shows in a row or given the answers ahead or. time!
The 1934 Broadcasting Act was amended in 1960 to prevent that. They have whole armies of honesty police to protect fairness. Their names are Standards and Practices. The FCC would pull a Taffer if they catch cheating on a game show and SHUT IT DOWN. 😎 But I’m sure you joke 😊

When this was taped, his original streak was still active and he hadn't yet received any money from Jeopardy. So I guess technically you are correct, but not for the reason you think. Seems likely that he has spent at least some of his money on clothing in the intervening 20 years, though.
I laughed more in 4 minutes here than in 10 years of the comedy (... comedy?) that Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Felon and Jimminy Jim Pimple Kimmel have comedied in their 10 years combined. Letterman Leno and Conan were funny. 2024 Late Night comedy depresses me and they ALLLL talk only ONLY about Trump and how Trump Trump Trump trumped a trump.
That was pretty damn good! Jennings has a good comedic delivery.
Comedy classes will tend to do that for ya!
He should definitely host Saturday Night Live one day.
He wrote a book about comedy in fact. The title is "Planet Funny"
He is the sole host of Jeopardy
Great job by the band playing the tune of "I Lost on Jeopardy" by the illustrious Weird Al
... which is a parody cover of Greg Kihn's "Jeopardy". If they don't use Al's words, no credit to Al.
@@Qermaq Little known fact, Kihn co-wrote the song with comedian Steven Wright.
@@chiefscheider Incorrect. Steve Wright was the bass player in the band, different guy.
You cannot be serious! My world is shattered
@@chiefscheider I'm sorry. Here, have some glue.
Hilarious! You have to know 1000% that Alex laughed from his toenails at that! 🇨🇦
Ken is Definitely a Class Act!! Glad he is the New Host! HE EARNED IT!!
He should host an episode of Saturday Night Live someday.
I can't think of a better person for the job (except maybe Mayim Bialek and she already does it sometimes).
Number 11: taking over his job, lol

I need a clip of this / episode
Hope the writer(s) of that list got a nice $$$ bonus?
That is one of the best ever.
Wink Martindale was pretty awesome in his day 😂😂
He is STILL around (10/11/24)
R.I.P. Alex and thank you!!!
Ken did that flawlessly with great chops. I wouldn't be surprised if this bit helped him get the new gig.
11. Bury him next to Sean Connery...
"We meet again, Trebek!"
Too soon
"Nice to see you again, Trebek!"
Still good for a laugh all these years later.
Ken should definitely host Saturday Night Live someday!
ken jennings is actually now the permanent host of jeopardy
Wow, Ken Jennings was so good on David Letterman's Top Ten list!!
Ken has learned everything from his mentor, Alex Trebek. And later, Ken has finally got his own dream job, replacing Alex as Jeopardy’s new permanent host.
I appreciate Ken's walk-on and walk-off music. I sure hope he does better next weekend on The Price is Right-ight-ight.
thx
He's no Weird Al.
The crazy thing about Ken's streak is that this aired on July 12, but the episode in which he finally lost didn't air until over 4 months later on November 30.
😂😂. He does a great job hosting. Ken seems so likeable.

2:16 Good golly! Ken literally predicted the future!
FULL EPISODES !!!!!! 2 minute clips not cutting it
The rightful sole host of Jeopardy!
love ken he is the best
I obviously missed something, where are the Trebek vs Connery bits coming from?

@@johnanderson9765 I’ve heard of that happening but haven’t seen such an occurrence myself.
I'm sure Alex loved every minute of this. Nice job, Ken!
I kept hoping Alex would slip up and introduce him as "Jen Kennings". But AFAIK it never happened...
But Alex wasn't the one doing the introductions. Jeopardy's announcer is Johnny Gilbert, who started the same episode as Trebek and is still in that position.
This guy is smooth. They should consider him as host if Alex ever retired.
Buy a vowel! Of course.
And that actually predicted the future since Ken and Mayim are both gonna face off against Vanna in the season 3 finale of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on Wednesday.
So funny 🤣😂☺️☺️
Congratulations on your new jeopardy perment host ken Jennings Alex trebek going to proud of you
Ken has the best personality of all the champions. #11 Art Fleming was better. Just kidding. I like all three of them.
Sounded younger. Higher pitched voice. I’m glad Ken wound up as the permanent host.
😂 🇨🇦 very funny!
what taking the Jeopardy! contestant exam can lead to
He looks and sounds so young. So does Ken! Ha ha ha ha! Sigh…
Quoting SNL Celebrity Jeopardy should probably have been on the list
Tell him Sean Connery is tonight's special guest competitor...
Ken changed his voice since he became the co-host of Jeopardy! in 2021.
Also his age.
Are you 14?
Dave. We need you more now than ever before. Those wore some good times
Larry Bud. He was a natural

What is “I’m going to be the host someday”
Ken was so cute here!
I wish they'd pick a new host already!
On a daily double, wager MUCH MORE than you have.
