Equally sad that that's what many of us will remember Holzhauer for. I, on the other hand, remember Brad for winning the Million Dollar Masters, beating out dozens of champions (including Ken Jennings) to win a $2 million purse, and winning more money than any other J! contestant and remaining unsurpassed after all these years. His score really is still on there.
There was a gag opening during the final where Alex came out on stage with no pants on. He claimed he did it to help Ken, Jerome, and Brad loosen up a bit. Of course, they couldn't include that clip as part of the episode, so Alex had to go backstage again and put some pants on. It was still hilarious.😁
In an interview, Alex once said the players in that game had agreed to come out without their pants. The players chickened out, and Alex was the only one who appeared on stage without pants. He was not happy about it.
The way Ken writes "GO BRAD!" just goes to show how generous he was, during the times where he has accepted defeat, from either Nancy Zerg (who lost the next day), then IBM Watson, and also Brad Rutter, in which he has won multiple times, that it wasn't always so much fun to play against him, until James Holzhauer, during that 2020 Greatest of All Time tournament, came in and burned Brad on both his hometown of Philadelphia and his score at zero.
Zerg should be invited back for the 2025 J! Invitational Tournament, since they invited Victoria Groce (David Madden’s giant killer, also lost next game) Even though Zerg wasn’t on “The Chase” like Groce (as a chaser), it’d still be cool to see Jennings and Zerg reunite after 21 years
@@zjoyce1730Jerome Vered was the ONLY one to endure the entire tournament as he was the ONLY one NOT to get a bye; Brad Rutter got a bye to the second round and Ken Jennings naturally got a bye to the finals.
Only because he hasn't really shown up in a lot of other tournaments that followed, with the exception of the Battle of the Decades tournament, from 10 years ago.
Brad was the better player until GOAT tournament. In his heyday, he beat Ken every time they competed. I was shocked at how poorly Brad did in GOAT tournament. And surprised at how well James played. Time marches on.
Odin is _not_ Tyr's father in most of the material we have about them. It is widely speculated that Tyr, Tywas or whatever, was thought more powerful in the earliest stories.
After this, not counting the IBM Watson Challenge, Brad Rutter would beat Ken Jennings in the Battle of the Decades, even though Ken was so close and he couldn’t do it, as well as the All-Star Games, where Team Brad dominated Team Ken. In the Greatest of All Time, Ken avenged his losses to Brad, and won the GOAT tournament.
Ken would've won that Battle tournament, if only he had a bowl of "Rice Krispies", but Brad and Roger, at the time, took the last bowls, which just left Ken with a bowl of Quaker oatmeal, in which was not at "Albright". And as for the All * Star Games, in which was pretty fun to watch, most of the way through, Ken's team didn't quite catch the breaks and wagering that they needed, in order to win that tournament, unlike Brad's team, in which I kind of sensed that they'd be a sure winner and such. Frankly, Ken was able to win that GOAT tournament, with the help of not just James Holzhauer's playing abilities and talents, but also with his savage burns on Brad, since it's like he didn't even come to play (since he didn't win a checkmark on his podium), just stand alongside and watch Ken and James work their own magic, and let Ken get a fair chance to win over him.
Brad winning streak in the tournaments ended at GOAT. I still don't know why Michael and Sarah did not put Brad directly into Jeopardy! Masters just like James and instead they invited him at JIT where Victoria Groce won against Amy and Andrew?
In the beginning of the episode, I was like I could've participated in this game and would've had a chance because I guessed each and every correct answer if the first three categories on time: college vocabulary, Asian history and women of country. I just couldn't pronounce the Lebanese guy but I would've spelled it out. Then we got to double Jeopardy and the handful of correct answers I got, came to me after the fact. 😕🫣😅😂
_"Hey, Brad's score is still on there."_
Wow
Ha-ha! What is Philadelphia?
No need to rub it in!
People seem to forget that one a lot.
That line James uttered I was like summer vacation...NO CLASS!!
Kind of sad that this is what most people will remember Brad for.

I see from the title that we're completely forgetting Jerome Vered.
"What's the FLUTE" 🙄*sigh*
Brad was one of my favorite jeopardy contestants, modest and never seemed to take himself to seriously 😑

Sounded like it was during rehearsal as the only reactions you could hear was the producers and crew. Still hilarious though.

Thanks for publishing. Its a shame jeopardy is not available anymore on pluto.
Well, sounds like a good reason to move back to Earth.
omg thank you so much for uploading this!!! so cool!!!!

Everyone knows Brad and Ken, but no one talks about Jerome
That's very true.
Only because he hasn't really shown up in a lot of other tournaments that followed, with the exception of the Battle of the Decades tournament, from 10 years ago.
That's still super impressive.
Final Jeopardy answer is Who are Cooper and Carpenter?
Are you able to post the other 2 games as well?
good 👍 editing 🎉
No wonder he’s still ahead of ken for all time winnings.
Ken did get the last laugh in GOAT

In the GOAT tournament. Ken & James were on point. Brad? Not so much.

I'm sure Brad was thankful to get any invitation to play on the Alex Trebek Stage.
Didn’t he decline the invite to the 2024 JIT?
I love this show
Wow he kicked Ken’s butt
Where did you found this?
16:12 seems like it edited where Alex recorded "And that give you a three day total..." anyone else notice that?
Yeah sounds like it was a post-edit
@justinm.1 it totally was lol. You could see Ken change how he was standing when they cut to the wide shot while Alex was reading off his totals lol
But ken did get his revenge in that jeopardy special with ken, brad, and james haha.
When I watched this in 2005,I didn't know what was a Cooper.
When Alan Shephard went to the Moon, didn't he orbit the Earth on his return?
Brad put the one Jerome had right with the one Ken got right together in final jeopardy.
Brad looks so different.
it's because he's only 7 years old here
Is Rutter still the world champion?
After the GOAT match, probably not.
Ken won the Greatest of All Time tournament
No, it's Ken.
Ken won the GOAT match over James and Brad.
he's still the highest-earning player in Jeopardy history, but he lost pretty badly in his 2020 appearance against Holzhauer and Jennings
2M on jeopardy alone? Jesus
Ken didnt do so well.
KEN LOST😭😭😭
Oh my gosh Ken sorry
