Thank you. There are a lot more episodes coming up and also in the works as well. I think it is a really good format to be able to discuss issues that take longer to explain than a video can. Just another source for education which I think just adds to the landscape. Glad you are enjoying them and appreciate the feedback.
I had a septoplasty for a deviated septum back in 2009. Rhinoplasty was not performed. Recently an MRI for a car accident displayed that I have a deviated septum again. If i were to have both a septoplasty and rhinoplasty in a few years, would this be considered a revision? And how much more work is it to add the deviated septum correction if a plastic surgeon is doing a rhinoplasty? I am just curious if it adds a lot more time of its a relatively easy procedure to add on.
It is very easy to add a septoplasty to a rhinoplasty because the surgeon is literally right there and can see the septum so it doesn't really add a lot of time or complication to the procedure. Frequently the cartilage from a septoplasty is used in other ways to help the performance of the rhinoplasty.
@@DrWilliamMiamithanks for responding, great information. I think I will ask the surgeon to do a rhinoplasty the next time I do a septoplasty. As I have gotten older my nose got wider so hopefully it something that can be adjusted.
I could listen to these podcasts all day. I love how well you inform the public.
