I had been trying to get my camera to be recognized by my photobooth software and was stumped due to the fact that my Camera uses a "dummy battery", and I was plugging in the wrong port to the computer. Using the proper camera port out to usb shown here, I was able to get it to work! Weeks of frustration finally ended thanks to this video!
life saver! i hooked up to my laptop many many times. this last time it wouldnt do it. i tried 3 computers grrrr!!! i had enabled the wifi and forgot. i thought my t6i was broken haha. thank you!!!

I've seen some youtubers use their tv as their monitor, would that pretty much be the same concept or do you know how that would work? Sorry I just got this camera in Oct. and I know nothing about DSLR cameras so it's all very new to me! 🙈
Araksi Hagopian Yes that would basically be the same concept, though I think you wouldn't be able to control the settings, so you would still have to get up and change them on the camera. And I believe that all you need is an HDMI cord and that will make it connect to the tv. No worries love, let me know if you have any more questions :)

Because I always believe that we should record with our camera first and then connect it to my Mac and edit there😂can I still use this way? By the way, can after I filmed and can I just upload it to my phone and edit in my phone and post it to IG? Will that still be HD without editing in Mac?

FYI they no longer include the CD. They want you to download the software now, which is actually a better idea anyway because A - most computers don't have CD drives anymore and B - you then get the latest version of the software which is always good.

Is there a way to hook the Canon to your computer using the WiFi function? Is this function just for the phone? I'm having trouble with after I have recorded a video through the Utility software actually downloading it to be able to upload to youtube. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!

AKD Games I don't unfortunately, I haven't tried that yet. But I assume you just get a hdmi cord, plug it in and the camera screen should just pop up on the tv. I'll have to do some more research lol, if you find anything more about hdmi cords, do tell! 😊

hi i have downloaded the disk and connected both but the screen did not pop up but when I have opened it manually I could see the option of "Remote Shooting" but its faded and I van't select it. Any suggestions please??

Can you use a mini hdmi to a hdmi? do you need to use mini hdmi to usb? if so I bought the wrong cable.
