@_SerenaElizabethNot really. There was no happy ending like everybody thought for a reason. The show actually has great producing you know why ? The producers intended for her to become like her mother, she ended up with a guy that resembled her father. The reality of people is that quite a lot unconsciously have the same choice of partners like their parents, repeating the circle. So there was the family "curse" that started with Lorelai and unfortunately didn't ended with Rory. Jess became to Rory what Luke was for Lorerlai for many years. So in a way you could say they left the possibility open, that years down fhe line Rory realizes that the good guy has always been there for her (even though Jess had his very low moments too, i have to admit), she just wasn't able to see it.
Me too! In fact, I remember I started watching the show because of Milo back then...lol I loved the Gilmore girls, but I recently started rewatching some episodes and I find Rory insufferable
There never was a better two people together in film than Jess and Rory. Only the seasons with Jess in it were worth watching. They had the interaction, the attraction and the chemistry. They had the constant attraction everytime they met unlike the other two guys she had. They were more on the same level, cared for each other and had pure fun together. They never officially ended anything, so like her mom always getting back to Luke, they will also always get back together, it runs in the family.
Oh oh oh!! Don’t forget when they were studying in the diner and he was flipping through the pages just looking at her and later on when he said “I made sure she was okay”
I will die on that hill for Jess and Rory. I think they just understood each other. When Rory turned down Logan I totally agreed he was not the one. In my head it was always Rory and Jess.
Ehhh Jess was brash and bad at communicating. And by the time he got a stable routine in his life, he couldn't understand that Rory no longer wanted him (hence his insistence at Rory's dorm). Though my preference, Dean, is still flawed for his control and insecurity
(Btw I apologize if this comes off as too critical of your opinion. You're completely entitled to it but I wanted to add some of my thoughts. With the would've-been Gilmore guys, they all have their charm so I adore mine (Dean lmao) and I understand why you love Jess too, even when they have their respective flaws)
I wish they would have given an ounce of forgiveness to Jess that Rory got. He was a troubled kid who was learning from his mistakes. Rory never had to take responsibility for any of her mistakes. He had the potential to be a better partner. I don't think she really fell in love until Logan.
off topic + unpopular opinion but i actually liked dean in the first season of the show. they were perfect high school sweethearts. but that doesnt give you the right to CHEAT ON YOUR WIFE!!!
The way he's freaking holding her! How the HELL did Rory go from that to Logan???????? Her brain cursed or something just absolutely wrong with her????

Her mother never admitted it but she showed so many signs, that she had a hard time letting things go. With other words, she was a little annoying at times (my opinion lol), that didn't really knew what she wanted. And while she tried her best to not raise Rory to make the same mistakes as her, she didn't realized how her Lifestyle, her Relationship with her own parents and being a single parent, influenced her daughter (not meaning that single parents are bad but we can see during the show, that Rory has always indirectly longed for her father to be present as a parent but he simply wasn't). All of this affected Rory and instead of going the opposite route, she internalized all of this and subconsciously picked a bad guy that treated her with no respect, because of her low self esteem. She always acted like she wants to avoid Drama, while also causing a lot of Drama (like her mother).
