And she only had harsh words from her parents growing up as they don't do words of affirmation, so she still craves it, which is why she self-sabotages.

Look at the atrocity that is the sequel. S7 was a lot better than ASP fanatics gave it credit for. Contrast fans' love for the series for almost a decade, compared to the complete death of similar hype after the sequel aired.
That’s why when I usually rewatch Gilmore girls I usually watch gilmore girls if I feel like it I will watch the whole series except for most of season 7 and then will watch the last episode when it’s Rory’s going away party which Luke plans for her and then Lorelei and Luke get back together again or I will just watch from season 4-6 and then again do the same with season 7

Yes some people forget this. It’s nice to have a father figure in your life especially if your father isn’t there that much. Christopher got better over the years but still doesn’t make up for the years he missed.
Chris thinks only of himself. of he can't be a father to his kid then Noone can't be or be with his kid. The town was a better parent to Rory then Chris was.
And he helped her move into her dorm room, he threw her a going away party when she got a new job at the end of s7. He went to her graduations, when Richard had a heart attack he was there for the entire family despite what Emily thought of him he wanted to make sure her and Rory were okay but then Christopher was off being petty because he got into the fight with Lorelei and was ignoring her calls and fled like usual. When Rory left Yale he wanted to do every possible thing to help Lorelei get her back to school and when she got arrested he offered his lawyer.
I have a video idea: "every time Emily gets mad at Lorelai for getting pregnant and leaving'" (reword the title but I think it'd be funny hearing her bring it up over and over again lmao). SHE NEVER GETS OVER IT WHYYYYYY
And how about the time she tried to make Rory Lorelei 2.0 and was like “your grounded. Wait till your father hears about this.” And Rory replies “you mean my grandpa don’t you”
The fact that the writers made these two break up just to create some soap-like cliche plot drama is not just frustrating. Clearly Luke and Lorelai loved each other so much even before they got together officially and it saddened so many viewers when they broke them up when ASP left. And the letter Lorelai wrote on behalf of luke to get custody of his daughter (this entire plot makes no sense but whatever writers) is like the writers tryin to make fun of the fact that they broke something special between two people. No one liked the fact that luke argued with lorelai over his "daughter" no one liked when he distants himself from her, or how he made her postpone then cancel the wedding and im more than positive that no one in this entire planet who loves or watches gg enjoyed the fact Lorelai stayed so calm and "cool" when he did all of this. And even worse when u consider the revival (which is one of the dullest things to ever exist) has them getting married after 10YEARS??? Like wth shouldn't they have been married idk like 8-9years ago?? But the cherry on top is that they kept their worst relationship trait, aka lying to each other. There's literally no way to salvage this chaotic mess 💀

This is my favorite show! I have rewatched all seasons maybe 4 times now. It never grows old. Luke really is perfect for her and just a great person. I’ll never stop watching this and can’t wait to show my daughter this show when she’s a bit older ❤
I disagree with the only people I’m sleeping with are allowed behind the counter I think it’s only Lorelai Gilmore because even in season one she was going behind the counter like at one point for donuts and only thing he said was your Tongs

The custody case was ridiculous from the outset. How could any judge show up and hear that someone kept a child secret for years, just to satisfy their own ego, and not instantly say "well, you've proven you're not a suitable parent - you lose all custody and never get to see that child again"?
