Schedule changes happen almost 100% of the time on the east coast; at least when I run my tours. I don’t like it bc I could use that time to rest, eat, PM service, etc. I absolutely do not like it.

Hey todd! Sorry I haven’t been commenting much but I’m still watching every vid as soon as they come out! Referring to those schedule changes, do you think they are trying to push people to go slower so they arrive at the pre set times? Its crazy because if you are a diligent worker and arrive safely early, they now punish you by making your schedule tighter so you then rush to the next stop but if you take your time and arrive exactly on time, they punish your score for now 10 weeks if your one min late. Crazy stuff. What do you think we should do to combat their change?

I will flat out say, I don’t like the schedule changes at all but at the end of the day, I have blocked out time where I have chosen to work for/with them and during that time, they get to make the rules. I wouldn’t be surprised in the future if we are given a new speed metric and force us to a strict speed limit. Most guys I see out here (myself included) are in the 60-62 range which will probably be an “F” if this new metric comes to pass.
It’s still advantageous for me to stay ahead of schedule because of how I book loads, if I finish early, I’m eligible to book my next load that much sooner. If I booked blocks, I would absolutely take my sweet time and show up everywhere on the screws in regards to SAT.
In regards to the ten weeks, I still believe it is six active weeks, however they’re now requiring ten loads to be completed whereas before you were only required to complete three loads.
I think they are just flexing, occasionally, they want to step up and let us know they’re the boss. I’m assuming at the moment they have more capacity than they need and this is how they respond. Remember this when negotiating rates when/if the tables turn.

Please help. I recently started hauling for Amazon with my own authority. I was working with another company about 7 months ago and I was pulling for Amazon as well under their authority, since I stopped working under them , they somehow are using my Amazon account that I had when working for them. How do I resolve that? Do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
I suspect what is happening to you is what I was talking about at 12:24 of this video:

Solutions:
1. Ask them to remove you from their driver roster. If they agree, this is going to be your fastest way to get resolution.
2. Reach out to Amazon and have them cancel access from prior company, be sure and let them know they are assigning you loads without your permission and now under your own authority, have zero reason to be associated with this previous company.
I would get this resolved before booking anything else because I suspect they are using you as a “place holder”. They have zero intention of having you run the load, if you don’t show up, it hurts their grade. But say all their drivers are tied up on loads and they book one and need to assign it a driver within the 30 minutes, they’re picking you. As soon as one of their drivers becomes free (eligible driver) they are swapping out you for one of their current drivers.
The problem with this is, it shows up in your work queue and can possibly supersede what you have booked for yourself, depending on which load is scheduled to start first.
Definitely get it taken care of before booking anything because you don’t want your performance to be hurt due to someone else’s shady tactics.
