I was raised on the ol JD 45 Combines.. we had 3 of them..2 square backs and 1 round back.. I was 12 years old , Running a combine.and taking Corn to town, setting on pillows to see out the windshield! We had 2 old 2 ton trucks..54 Ford, 53 Chevy...lol I dont know how I ever did it with all the bean dust in the cab.and no air.. Brought back alot of memories
Boy did this bring back memories. My grandpa was still farming with a 45 and 55 in the late 60s early 70s. Neither had cabs. If I remember right, they were hercules gas engines.
I suggest try putting tire slime in it first before you give up on it. A $10 bottle of it might get you 2-3 years out of that tire. Any auto supply store would have it.
For the sucking calf there are nose weaner ring, you fit on its nose ,it helps you stop that fast or it will be a long term problem . It can cause long term health problems to animal being sucked. Great seeing you back online, enjoy your videos, 🏴👍
Thanks for the update s and showing us how the kittens are doing ! They're very very cute and look healthy so momma. must be feeding them just fine. 👍😼😼😼😼
congrats on your purchase, hope the truck serves you well, plus the combine, wish I was closer I could work on some of those thing to help get it in better shape, love you mate ,stay safe, hugs.
Enjoyed video.... On Pink eye put out Yellow "Sulpher" Salt Blocks. I haven't had pink eye in over 25 years. My old neighbor told me about it and it helps plus help with weaning stress too. As he told me... The military has used Sulpher years ago for wounded!!!
I've got many hours on a 45 from the age of about 12 to 16 on a North Dakota wheat farm. The day we upgraded to a 95 with a 16 foot header I thought I was operating a monster.
A tip for greasing old dry sealed bearings. Punch a little hole in the seal with a dart or other sharp thing. And with a needle nipple on the grease gun you can grease them. You can cover the hole with some silicon or stuff or simply let them open, no problem.
You quite the hustler kid, thats why I like your videos. Maybe you need to put up a post office box in case we want to send you a couple of bucks to buy John Deere paint.
You've got a grease your equipment and Chains man! I didn't see you grease one zerk fitting. If you don't keep them old machines lubed they won't last very long
The bed will come off easy peasy. Either an A-Frame hoist, or 4 of your strongest dudes, a couple of plugs, and a few bolts, and no problem. Then you can really get to work on that rust.
I have 4 calves and they are going to be weaned soon. We have 4 one yr steers grazing on pastures. Is it bad to put them out with the steers? We also have cyotes pretty bad will 4 calves be able to survive.
Jut spray some fix a flat in that tire and then air after and run it. Of course it makes it sometimes unpleasant to change once you go to remove it from the rim but I have done that on several things to keep rolling.
Try n find urself a 95-105 easier on parts and i think more common. Otherwise seems the WFE/White combines are in an abundance. (Depending on location) all over MI/Indiana.
What a ford with an exhaust leak. Just spray the frame with old motor oil and diesel. Even the rodded rocker panels. The 4.6 is good as long as the spark plugs stay in the head.
Nice combine glad to see someone keeping the old Machine running about the tires I would just air them and leave them maybe put two new ones on the back you should get a rain cap for the muffler
The family RV did that on the way to my county fair a few years ago and it was pretty cool to be towed there by the very tow truck that the company displayed at said fair!
Don’t run it full throttle on first start up that’s so hard on the engine. I grew up with the 5542 whites very similar combine if your going to start it again next year for a first start just prime the carb with a shot of fuel save the starter life and battery life
Yep that’s smart I work on riding mowers vintage ones and I put a little fuel into the carburetor to see if it’ll hit a lick and then it helps save the starter life because starters are expensive
Air conditioning has NOTHING todo with body temp. It could be 105 degrees out, that's NOT going to cause a fever. Absolutely ridiculous statement . Wooow
As mentioned either in this video or the previous one, they aren’t taking an internal body temp! They use a temp reader on your forehead when you pull into the parking lot. And yes your skin can be hotter than your internal temp. If you don’t believe that, I can’t help ya.
Neat old combine. I'm no mechanic but if that tire gives you trouble I saw a video the other day where a guy is using tireject tire sealant and said it's expensive but works good. Don't know if that would help but thought would comment it as it's fresh on my mind. th-cam.com/video/y3ccfF2dX9A/w-d-xo.html

Grandpa had a 45 with no cab.He used it up into the 80's when he retired.
Thanks for the video. Love seeing the old machines still being used.
I have a 1969 john deere 330, works perfect as its new, harvests even better than most newer combines
my farm has a claas lexion 585
In my country the netherlands🇳🇱 do we say
Old but gold
that means that new things are not always better than old things

My great great grandpa had a combine just like that. That’s so cool
Glad to see you got the old putt putt to run. Hope it keeps running. Our family is more of an International family.

I can only imagine how big that engine is
It’s a 4.6. Nothing special😂 better then the 5.4
My grandpas dad had a model A from 1913
It’s running to this day
He still has it
Assuming you mean Ford that would be a Model T unless you mean the model A that was made in 1903-1904.
Squishy Zoran ya sorry for the misunderstanding
Bleach That’s ok. I wasn’t too sure which you meant but that’s pretty cool he still has it.
Good luck with the truck... Not a fan of that generation Ford engine. Only a couple turns of threads in the aluminum head for spark plugs.
I enjoyed the video. Thanks. I hope you have a good summer - enjoy it!

I was told years ago back in the 50's that although Fords will rust out, they'll keep on running.
Yea it’s true we have an old Ford our selfs and we put that thing through hell and back and still runs like it did day one
Always liked that combine it would be cool if you harvested any crops
You quite the hustler kid, thats why I like your videos. Maybe you need to put up a post office box in case we want to send you a couple of bucks to buy John Deere paint.
That f150 would be mint for Michigan
Haha you’re right
Wish I could post a pictures here. Keep your fuel tanks full in the off season. One thing grandpas thought me. We have a 105

My first farming accident was on one of those with 3 row corn head. I was 3 yrs old n fell into corn head with it running.....
Sounded pretty good when it was running.
I swear I could smell the inside of that truck when you opened the door
9:35 in my stone cold steve Austin voice GIVE ME A HELL YEAH!!!! 💪
915 internationals are getting really cheap but they're a very simple and reliable combine
Pittman arms and those Hume reel parts are made from straight grained hickory
The bed will come off easy peasy. Either an A-Frame hoist, or 4 of your strongest dudes, a couple of plugs, and a few bolts, and no problem. Then you can really get to work on that rust.
Man what a difference from then to today's Combines and the size of the headers today makes that look tiny

The old girl still running well. What are you going to cut with it. Good to see your still going 👍
He wants to cut some fescue seed with it.
One remedy not a cure is to put a heavy magnet on the end of the tank furthest from filler cap. Its draw the rust to the magnet
Nice combine glad to see someone keeping the old Machine running about the tires I would just air them and leave them maybe put two new ones on the back you should get a rain cap for the muffler
Came here for a combine..first few minutes about a truck i didn't give two shits about
Such a cool video
3:48 - TH-cam gold. Also enjoyed the entire video too.
Maybe try using a few treated 2x4 planks. They'll last you a few years easy.
Flat bed it and bob it. Yeah this covid is a inconvenience.
I wouldn’t have bought a triton ford but hey you do you
Is that another combine or the one you had last year? Been watching your videos and you had one in a barn?
Awwww the kintten looks cute 🤩🤩❤❤
Good thing its not a 5.4 triton loves to shoot spark plugs out :)

Ford's the best TRUCK. The others are pickups. Good farming to you. Keep making beef and videos.
Don’t recommend banding calves, infection is too high, and a higher risk of losing them
I LOVE IT!!!

Same to you as well!

Good video. Neat old combine. What is the story behind the deer heads ?
Been missing you
Can you go into better detail about the grass seed market?
good job..bro...👍👍👍
Sweet tractor
Do you know when the last time your neighbor used the combine
He hadn’t started it in over 8 years!
Thanks for telling me, I wish they added the John Deere 45 from 1967 in FS19
That’s a fun game!
I agree with you
What kind of fescue cause we grow k31 and turf type and are you doing this in Oregon?
Yes we are harvesting k31. And we are in Missouri. I think we harvest more than Oregon does but Oregon can really grow it thick!
Be smart and do it the right way take the bed of fix it right
